With people currently revising for exams and receiving their results, I thought that I should make a thread dedicated to exams. So, discuss away.

Used to have an exam week in my old school, in my new school we don't actually get exams until 9th (currently in 8th). But we do get essays and projects though.

I've got to start studying for my last NYS Regents exam, for US History. I passed my Global last year (among math etc) and did English this past January. Shouldn't have an issue with this one without studying either (never studied for the rest since I never study for anything).

I was gonna make this exact thread a few weeks back but totally forgot

Anyway, I have my GCSE's starting in about 3 weeks, on the 14th, but my study leave doesn't start until the 28th, by which point I will have done half of the exams.. Safe to say the whole of my year are really annoyed about that.

The exams I am most worried about are History and Latin, there is so much to learn in both of them, especially Latin.. :nervous:

Revision it is safe to say is not going very well.. Motivation is virtually nil, I'm generally pretty good at all my subjects, so I think subconsciously I don't think I need to do it, but in reality I do.. Any tips on upping motivation?

I'm now studying for:
Classical Control Theory exam (3hrs)
Aerodynamics and Thermodynamics (3hrs)
Aircraft Performance and materials (2.5hrs)
Mechanics of Structures (3hrs)

=(

I'm currently (procrastinating) revising: (all May)
Calculus & algebra 1 (4th)
Foundation and abstraction (11th)
Elementary mechanics & computational mathematics (16th)
Probability & statistics (17th)
Calculus & algebra 2 (18th)
All 3 hours. Yep, 9 hours of exams in 3 days :(

Micro economics sometime next week (should probably find out for sure, huh? )

Then on May 7th I have Political Science, Business Law and Ethics, and Accounting consecutively. Basically the three most annoying classes I've ever taken are on the same day and the day after we celebrate my sister's college graduation... so this will be interesting.

I hate them, I hate them , I hate them, I hate them...

If there is any low in my life, it's exams. Personally I think that exams are just a bunch of unneeded stress. I flip out during exams, and I can't believe how some people don't snap. I can't bear the tension, but that's just me personally speaking...

In amazement, I wrote the most half-ass, most terrible essay I have ever written for a school final and the pillock who read it gave me an astonishing 87%! What an easy marker! I bet you if it was anyone else I would have failed. Hard.

Got my Maths GCSE results the other day, not impressed. An E was my result, I hate maths. :grumpy:

Got A* in all my year 10 exams and coursework so far. People ask me how I do it and 'how I'm so intelligent' and I'm just like "Erm...I dunno".

I can't explain it, I just find it all fairly easy.

I got biology physics chemistry and maths results last week. Got full marks in maths and physics and 75/80 in chemistry and biology :D

Well done man, I got 114/120 in my November Maths Unit 1, 73/80 in Biology and 74/80 in Chemistry.

Got 19/20, 30/30 and 37/40 in my English coursework, it's my specialist subject :sly:

Unfortunately english is my downfall as I got a D and C in my coursework and am expecting to do worse in the exam I have in a few weeks, most other subjects I'm predicted A's and B's

I got an E in AS Maths - was a bit disappointed. Although I'm just gonna retake it this year so I'll be with the rest of my grade (I was in Accelerate Maths last year). Got an A in French as well :D

You were disappointed with an excellence in accelerate maths but happy with a meager achieved in french?

You did better than me. I dropped it after 1 week as I found it too hard. Always knew maths was a weak point but was good at science so thought I could wing it maybe. Not the case. I dropped the physics too.
