That is kick-ass. Plus, that Jem.

I just found out that RIOT has a new album out, released in 2011.

Pretty incredible! Sadly the only original member still in the band died in 2012 (Mark Reale). 👎:grumpy:

EDIT: Today is the birthday of Chuck Schuldiner, -R.I.P. :guilty:

So I just ordered both S.U.P's Imago and Supuration's Incubation for £7.99 each, can't wait until they both turn up. Both amazing albums if anyone's ever heard them...

New Kreator album is pretty damn awesome. Certainly better than Hordes of Chaos, and probably the best out of the 4 "melodic" post-2000 albums.

"Phantom Antichrist" ..Do want. Came out today in N/A eh? I checked HMV after school today, but they didn't even have a Kreator section. :ouch:

So instead I bought these two albums;

Thanks for the link! I made the album cover of King Diamond's Abigail my Desktop Background and Firefox persona :D.

Anyway, I've been recently listening to Blitzkrieg's self-titled song alot.

Sweet, haha.

Can we survive the Blitzkrieg?!?!?

Maybe seeing them next week, still contemplating it.

I saw Sleep tonight in Oakland and holy crap. they played for 2 1/2 hours almost, included Dopesmoker in its entirety. Right after Dopesmoker they played Dragonaut and everyone went nuts and the moshpit doubled in size and I almost lost my shoe in it haha. Helluva show.

If you have a chance to see Municipal Waste, I would highly suggest doing so. I saw them when they were touring for 'The Art Of Partying' and it was 45 minutes of some of the wildest moshing I'd ever seen. It was a great show.

Hey just found this thread, bit late I know since its been open for 8 years  But there you go. Big metalhead myself, in fact last week I saw Machine Head and Evile, along with an Irish band called Dead Label. Damn awesome gig!

Ya, Blitzkrieg is a really awesome NWOBHM group. It would be nice if the song was played just a little faster though. But then again, this was only the first version :)

EDIT:Speaking of NWOBHM, I've also been listening to diamond head lately:

Man, I'm STILL pissed about the fact that Sean Harrison was fired :banghead:. His voice was amazing in my opinion!

Been listening to The Black Horseman by King Diamond a LOT lately. Probably the best song off Abigial besides The Family Ghost. I love that songs opening riff, it's just epic.

I sooo like your style mang. :)

Yeah, the show was pretty nuts. The place was beyond packed, the hometown crowd really gave Sleep a reason to be happy to be home. The next day or a few after Matt Pike brought himself into rehab which I think is the reason all of HoF shows are cancelled right now. I hope he gets his stuff in order. I met a dude on Last.fm that actually opened for HoF in the past and heard nothing but good things about the band.

Speaking of him.. He does guitar and vocals for two bands. Stone Angels, and Second Gear Grind. Check it out.

And you can stop by and leave him a shout Here.

So, bought this today, Venom - Welcome To Hell (1981). Their debut album. Pretty good.

Any Venom fans here?

Evil Blood and Witchburner are pretty good thrash bands. And Conqueror, Uruk Hai, and Ragnarok are pretty good black metal bands.
I mostly listen to raw black metal, black thrash, depressing black metal, and some ambient.

I definitely belong in this thread :D My favorite bands:

-Amon Amarth - Melodic death metal legends from Sweden, no introduction necessary, it's quite simple Amon Amarth. I'm going to their concert at 7.VII!!!
-Behemoth - They hail from Poland, powerful blackened death metal. Nice stuff, highly recommended. Especially 'The Apostasy' and 'Evangelion' CDs.
-Belphegor (<- that's the correct band's name spelling) - Austrian black metal.
-Bloodbath - now we're talking. The best band I've ever heard of. Their album 'The Fathomless Mastery' is in my opinion the very essence of death metal, the best album I've ever listened to.
-C**teater - Dutch goregrind masters. It's not like typical goregrind stuff, it's more catchy and ear-friendly, not like 'a wall of sound'. I'd say it's more like VERY, VERY, VEEEEERY brutal and skull-crushingly powerful death metal. 'Eat C**t Or Die' is my favorite.
-Dethklok - one of the best of 'my' bands. USA's melodic death metal group, from DAMN funny series 'Metalocalypse', I HIGHLY recommend both the band and the series.
-Devin Townsend - Canadian multi-insturmentalist, a funny guy and a legend. Great man, definitely worth a go. Concert on 4.XII (with Fear Factory)!!!
-Draconian - the most stunningly beautiful type of metal I've come across. "Turning Season Within' and 'A Rose For the Apocalypse' are the most beautiful. Really guys, give it a go - amazing stuff.
-Facebreaker - Sweden, brutal death metal. Great stuff, good to listen when you're mad at sbd/sth. A tad similar to Bloodbath. 'Infected' is their newest and the best release IMO.
-Fear Factory - USA, industrial death metal. One of my favorite bands, they released a lot of great albums. Concert on 4.XII, with Devin Townsend.
-Gojira - DUUUUDE! This bands is like wine, it gets better with age. The more you're listening to it, the more you want. 'The Way of All Flesh' is a must. They recently released <L'Enfant Sauvage>, didn't give it a go yet.
-Hunter - Polish band, very 'recognizable'. Distinct sound, nice vocals and strange, sometimes anti-religious texts.
-Immolation - I'm not their fan, let's start with that. But 'Majesty and Decay' is really bloody great. Not much of 'new' albums impressed me so much.
-Kabanos - funny Polish band with texts so stupid it's impossible to study when listening to them. Believe me, I tried. One of their songs, 'Czerwona Musztarda' ('Red Mustard') was supposed to be the worst of their arsenal. Fans had other opinion - it's their most well-known song. Concert on 15.X!
-Masturbator - another Polish band, I think we can call it 'light black metal'. I remember their performance on 2010 Sonisphere (Poland). The funniest stuff I've seen in YEARS, vocalist's shout-outs were damn great :D
-Rammstein - no explanation necessary.
-Regurgitate - classic, Swedish goregrind stuff. A bit of 'wall of sound', and a bit of normal HEAVY music.
-Rompeprop - another Dutch band, and another goregrind/pornogrind band. Funny stuff, with pitch-shifted growling on vocals. Heavy stuff.
-Souldrainer - Sweden, melodic death/doom metal. Slow, powerful and beautiful. Fantastic music.
-Stormlord - my favorite band. Italian epic black metal, and by epic I actually mean both epicness and genre.

Love Venom.

As Borat would say.."Very nice!" "High five!"
