Jann Mardenborough & RJN Win Podium Finish at Snetterton

European GT Academy 2011 champion Jann Mardenborough and his teammate Alex Buncombe were back in action last weekend, competing at Snetterton in the latest round of the 2012 British GT Championship.

Initially, the event was off to a poor start, with the team forced to retire the car from the first of two races after contact with a Porsche. For the second race, a drive-through penalty resulting from an illegal pit stop saw RJN Motorsports team near the back of the grid.

Challenged by their unfortunate circumstances, Jann and Alex put on an incredibly quick performance, bringing their Nissan GT-R all the way up into third position when the checkered flag fell.

“Who knows what would have happened if the race had been a few laps longer,” said GT Academy Team RJN boss Bob Neville. “We’ve right on the heels of the championship leaders now and with two more events to go we have everything to play for.”

The next British GT Championship race will be held at Silverstone on September 9, before the season finale at Donington Park on September 30. RJN is now just two points shy of the leaders, setting the scene for an exciting championship battle that could go down to the wire. For now, congratulations to Jann and the RJN team!

I think they will be in GT6, will be too much time spent readying them for GT5, isn’t the Spa track from england?

We got Kazs GTR Free last year and the Stealth GTR 500 with a code. Just an opinion. Also the Free X1 after Sebastian Vettles successful title run.
