Perceptive readers might’ve picked up on the news of the new racer yesterday. It showed up — of all places — in the McLaren Shadow info for another game entirely. Tucked down below the main event info on the official Shadow page was info on the other qualifiers set to run during October. It was here that the 720S GT3 appeared.

Details are scarce for the moment: all we know is that the 720S is coming, presumably before the end of the month. It could be a part of the mooted 2019 season update, which is set to arrive by year’s end free of charge. If that’s the case, it will be bonus content of sorts: the 720S currently doesn’t take part in the Blancpain GT Series, though it does contest the British GT championship. It could be a solo bit of content too, presumably ahead of the release of a quartet of new tracks. Either way, stay tuned: we’ll likely know very soon.
