Console Players Save 20% on F1 Manager 2022 During United States Grand Prix Week

If you’ve been holding fire on picking up the official management simulation game of the Formula One World Championship, F1 Manager 2022, there’s a little more incentive this coming week.

In order to mark what’s likely the climax of the second of the two championship titles at next weekend’s United States Grand Prix, at Circuit of the Americas in Texas, F1 Manager 2022 will be available at a 20% discount for console players.

Created by Frontier Developments, the studio best known for titles in the Elite space-trading series and various theme park and zoo creation games, F1 Manager 2022 takes players behind the scenes of the sport.

Instead of testing your driving prowess, F1M2022 tasks you with running a Formula One team, dealing with all the personnel management, vehicle development, and team finances that go with it. That even includes meeting with other teams to decide new rules and budgets for coming seasons — although unlike the real world you have to stick to them.

The fact there’s no driving and it’s a single-player game only meant we couldn’t give it a scored review on GTPlanet, but it’s a rather enjoyable experience if something of a massive time-sink. Frontier has of course been updating the title since, with the most recent 1.9 update arriving just last week.

PlayStation gamers can already take advantage of the deal, with the game included in the current “Essential Picks” discount event in the PlayStation Store. This will run from October 12 to October 26, and sees F1 Manager 22 priced at $43.99 (€43.99/£38.39).

Those on the Xbox platform will need to wait until October 18. That’s when the “Deals With Gold” promotion goes live, bringing the 20% discount for F1 Manager 2022.
