got my router sittin here, but no cables....just got paid so after some sleep i'll be goin to pick them up....anyone else around ny that i could xlink with tho :lol:

thats saying alot from someone who thinks drift is faster than grip.

but lets not get into that here.

i drift because i got bored of gripping. drift refines your car control, and its all about style and being unique. i dont have to worry about messing up one corner screwing up a perfect lap. Drifting is fun, and rewarding.
 
:dopey: I just have more fun approaching a turn.... take the turn kinda fast ...then jump on the throttle and get the rear to break loose...and take the whole thing sideways. Id rather "distroy" a turn than "carve" it. Its funner to me.

I sure as hell wont try it on the street, might as well do it in a video game.

Still off topic:

I think Taka would have won if his car didn't overheat causing him to forfiet the 5th "one more time" I'm pretty sure he'd 'a had it.

That's cool that you knew some of the crew.
 
I drift for fun, or when ive had enough of grip racing for a top 5 in Weekly Race Series.

I havnt drifted for so long now :(, maybe i should give it a go soon and see if i can improve my skills a bit.

But yeah i drift for fun and entertainment. If i want to compete i grip, far better chance at winning if I grip race than if i did drift comps.
 
hi everyone, Im new to the forums but ive been around gt planet for a wile now.

Anyways, back to topic.
Ive never really thought of that question before.
Whenever I drift by myself I gues I do it just to practice and try and get a perfect run, or saw something realy cool that motivated me, and just for fun. Then when me and my friend play its just to se whos better and point out each others mistakes and try to proove whos wrong.
 
why do we drift?
to make car go squeelies, tires go smokies, car go slidies, and fans make screamies and go :drool: . what could possibly be better than that?
 
When you race in gt4,you can only get so good at finding the best line and getting the quickest lap time,but when you drift there is so much more to it then that.

its shows your car control in ways turning a corner at 150mph with the tc turned on can never show.
Plus,its real good craic!!! 👍

simply, i drift because i can. 👍

a rwd car ( some credits)
n1 tyres (free)
120mph through a corner whilst facing the wall :scared: "and clearing it perfect" :eek: (priceless).
for lap times theres grip, for everything else there is drifting.
 
You guys are going to flame me for this, but sometimes I Speed Drift because it's the fastest way around the track with that particular car.

I Show drift because it's just soo damn fun and challenging to keep that line, speed, ANGLE and smoke going the whole way 'round. And yes about 10sec per lap slower.
 
cuzz racing normally is SOOOOO BORING in a game IMO....ive only completed roughly around 10% of the game and am not planning on completing it.....i hav all the cars i want so theres really no point in racing more

all i do now is DRIFT DRIFT DRIFT
 
because burnouts are more stressful on drivtrain componets than drifting , because your moving you have less chance of cooking boxes, overheating motors, etc but drivetrain damage still happens
 
It's about having fun in drifting (Keiichi Tsuchiya says this in the Drift Bible DVD). With racing (grip style) to beat the game you have to concentrate more (others may say different) and worry about things. I'm more relaxed when I'm drifting. So if I mess up a drift I have infinite laps to get it to look good. Hopefully we can get drifting to be more popular than NASCAR! 👍
 
I try to challange the ART of drifting and it´s allways a new challange with every new car u try.
shall a give i more brake shall i give it more gas... allways the question.

it has taken me about 2 weeks of practice and i´m still a "newbie" but sometimes u just get the perfect combo of gas and angle and it just looks great and its awsom

thats why i love drifting
