Nurburgring has 3 tracks, and it's one location.So...
Depends on how you define location. By the place name? If so:

  • The location would be Nürburg, Germany
  • Nürburgring would the name of the motorsport complex
  • The motorsport complex would consist of 3 tracks (Nordschleife etc.)
Still, we can argue the actual definitions all day long because it really doesn't matter whether a location refers to a country or a place name. In reality, what we are referring to in game design and rendering terms are "environments" that share the same game assets. For example (forgetting any reverse variants):

  • Trial Mountain is 1 environment with 1 track
  • Nürburgring and the GP circuit is 1 environment with 2 tracks
  • Suzuka, Suzuka East and Suzuka West is 1 environment with 3 tracks
  • Twin Ring Motegi Road, East, West and Speedway is 1 environemnt with 4 tracks
Straight away, we have 4 environments with 10 tracks between them. Add reverse versions into the mix and you effectively have 4 environments with 20 tracks between them.

To me, it is blatantly obvious that the number 20 being thrown around does not simply relate to the number of tracks in the game.

This might clear things up..? Specifically says 20 Locations with 70 Track Layouts, so at least we know its not 20 Tracks.

TokyoDrift just sumed it up for us i think.

Sorry to burst your bubbles , but i dont think it's the Aston Martin logo, it's either a Nurburgring related logo , or something else , im sure i've seen it trackside at Le Mans. Anyway Aston Martin are bound to be in the game !! Cant wait to drive the One-77 around the top gear test track :)

^^ I was just about to ask the same thing... :(

I *hope* this is GT5 related, I think I found a pic of the demo at the 'Ring on motorsport.com:

Ok read the last few pages ,sorry Famine .(can't be mad at you after the great news you revealed and that chump bub show :sly: :D )
Oh and still where are the videos of the new demo though .

Clearly I missed something, lol.

"Of course not everyone’s going to be lucky enough to make it to Nurburgring this weekend and more’s the shame but not to worry, feast your eyes on these images and look forward to getting your turn on GT5 very soon"

From the playstation blog, "very soon" as opposed to just "soon"

What now? An new GT5 Demo? GT5P Update? GT5 Full game???

GT5 Demo would make sense to start the hype again... and then an Fall release

I will be in a huge minority I know, but I really don't want to see another public demo of GT5, or an update to Prologue. All that really matters is getting a reliable (as reliable as you can get anyay) release date.

I think there will be a PlayStation Store GT5 Demo, but it wont be available until GT5 is.

Yup, and I'd be totally fine with that so people have something to sample first before laying down the readies. However, I just feel that with all of the releases we've had so far ...

- GTHD
- GT5P Demo
- GT5P
- TT Demo

... plus all of the other demos we've seen at shows but never played, I just think enough is enough. Move on, get the game out! :)

Yeah I also wan´t the full game but very soon means for me next week or after the 24h Nordschleife race.

But GT5 is announced for E3 so it´s impossible to get the full game very soon (next week)

They can´t really say "very soon" and mean a half year, can they?! Yes I know they can, it´s Sony... but let´s hope the best...

after all we got gtp,TT..more gt5 demo do'snt make sense!!give us the release date and all of us will be fine finally!!

it's going to be great if it does get released, we then should be able to "reverse engineer" and calculate exactly how long "soon" is compared to "very soon" in Kaz's dictionary.

In a perfect world where Ky would only be concerned about his hardcore fan base it would be great to see him "surprise" us by announcing at E3 that the game will be out in all regions the following week.
