How do you intend to play GT5? (HDTV-SDTV/PC monitor/wheel/controller)

The number of wheels being used is incredible. I have a 32" Samsung 720p HDTV, but I wouldn't mind getting a 42" 1080p by Sony. My Samsung tv has not been the best to me.
 
As it looks now- With a DualShock 3/Sixaxis on a non-HDTV.

But I know I will get a steering wheel around summertime.... wait- but I'm thinking since I start college in the fall, I shouldn't bother.... ahhh dang it. GT5 will be enjoyed with my DS3 untill further notice- how bout that? :)
 
At the moment I hook my PS3 up to my 24" Samsung SyncMaster 245BW when racing with the wheel, because I don't have any place for the wheel in the living room where my 40" Samsung and Jamo speaker set (through Pioneer VSX 7.1 amplifier) is located.

I intend to build some sort of a setup before release of GT5 so I can use my G25 with the big TV and surround sound, instead of the PC Monitor and crappy stereo PC Speakers :ouch:

I sometimes race in the living room, using the pad, but that's just for some money grinding in standard physics (Ford GT manufacturer event to be specific), I'm saving up to buy all the cars, just got a few of the tuners left and I'll have them all :dopey:
 
Was going to get a DFGT or a G25/G27 but I may go with a Fanatec so I can use it with my 360 as well. 👍
 
real BMW driver seat + homemade cockpit + DFGT + 50in Plasma + surround sound

maybe i will switch to the G25
 
1080p projector and Sixaxis....had a playseat and a G25 but sold it before I got the projector, should never have done that!! The cockpit cam looks just right because the dashboard is just as big as in real life :) and I`m sitting 2 meters away.....AWESOME!! :)
 
No doubt about it, best way to play GT5 is on a projector with a playseat and G25.... in a burning tree Gran Treesmo style
 
I've been ready for over two years now I built this RIGG plus 16 others to go LAN racing in GT5 and still waiting.

Haven't check this forum in ages, but now with GT5 nearing its release I'm just as excited as everyone here.👍

I'll be enjoying GT5 in my self-built cockpit and a 60" Sony SXRD.
Been adding/upgrading my cockpit bit by bit over the past months. Don't want to clog this thread with pictures but here on s2ki are pictures and videos of my progress overtime.

lol i just finished playin gt5p , and i watched some of your photos, and i thought, what the hell it's almost a year and a half from buyin g25 and i don't have any playseat so for now i ordered this small one :) :

my rest of hardware is 40' sony bravia kdl40w2000, and ofcourze g25 :)
 
40 inch 1080p LCD TV and Dolby digital 5.1 sound system but only a normal PS3 controller for now, I'm thinking about getting a G25 but with a 2010 release date it seems I have plenty of time to hold out for a good price in the new year.
 
I plan on playing it on a standard definition television turned backwards to face the wall, and with a blindfold on, and with a sixaxis with broken analog sticks and triggers, and a sticky D-pad. And the game completely muted so it doesn't interfere with the pop music i'll be blasting outta my stereo. and i'll be wearing a straightjacket.

Most likely i will end up playing it on my 13" non-HDTV with a Sixaxis :lol:

Dude, no. I cannot let any GTPlanet member play this game on an SDTV. And 13 is way too small. Go with at least a 26-32 inch HDTV.
 
DS3 with a SDTV, wondering if I should upgrade the tv first or get a wheel + stand.
 
I have my PS3, 1080P TV with Sennheiser headphones and G25 waiting to go. :)
