Currently i have some lousy old logitech wheel with paddles (no stick gearshift).. and no clutch pedal.

I might buy a g25/27 and a decent playseat simply becouse of GT5 ;)

Depends on my budget at the time of release... might have to wait.

DFP + 52" Sony XBR6 LCD + 5.1 Surround Sound (JBL and Infinity). Thinking about getting a G25 with a seat and mount for pedals...or whatever the official GT5 wheel will be...

Just about 60% of GTP voters are using a wheel on an HDTV. That's an impressive number.

Logitec Driving Force GT,
40" sony XBR4 1080P 120hz,
5.1 suround sound.

19" HDTV, and I just ordered a DFGT. The screen could be bigger, but at least the picture quality is good. :)

40" Toshiba Full-HD TV
Logitech G25 Steering Wheel
Sony 5.1 Home Cinema

Am I the only one who's going to be enjoying this game with a controller?

Look at the poll results lol. About 20% of voters in this thread will use a controller. As of today, I'd be using one, but I may buy a DFGT when the game comes out.

My set now looks like Logitech DFP and no-HDTV but i will upgrade for some HDTV.

I have a G25 that I use on a card table. :( I will probably get a Wheelstandpro for Christmas though, maybe even before. I also use an HD Acer H243H monitor and sometimes the family TV, a Samsung 61'' LED.

I got a Wheel Stand Pro for Christmas! :D

Gears normally on left but not using stick shift in Time Trial and meant wheel wouldn't sit central to tv, which is probably important when I wanna make top 20...

p.s when I play GT5 for the first time and start tuning some real life favourites into race winning monsters I will pitch a tent..👍

Lucky you! My birthday is tomorrow and I am hoping for one (a wheel I mean), but I think I hinted a bit too late. I wanted a DFGT....but again...I think I was a bit late on hinting this to my parents.

But oh well, GT5 is still likely 5 months away, so I can easily make 100 bucks or so in that time.:)

Will be an even bigger hoot when we complete our never ending cockpit project (waiting on a shipment from Fanatec).

Almost done...

More pictures to come (after panels and paint, of course), and soon after my Building a New Cockpit tutorial will be updated to completion.

(Yes, I know those aren't Clubsport Pedals. Mine had a fault, and I'm STILL waiting on shipment back from Fanatec)

;)

Probably in my zimmer frame by the time it comes out.

Logitech G27
46" Samsung HDTV
Just built a cockpit based on Playseat Evo design, can't be happier.

This might be a little off topic, but which is the best wheel for the money?
-G25
-G27
-DFGT
I don't really care about having a clutch pedal either.
All I need is the wheel, gas, brake, and shifter.

Olevia 47" 1080p
Onkyo TX-SR607 7.1
G25
Playseat Evo w/ bottle-holder mod

:D

I'm looking forward to GT5, but I'm (somewhat) contently playing NFS: Shift (on PC) and GTR Evo in the mean time. I don't seem to make the same kind of seat-time for those games as I did with GT5p though.

^^ The DFGT is probably the best bang for your bucks if you're not picky and don't want to pay 200+
I bought the DFGT and was very surprised by how good the wheel is. The only thing bad is the crappy pedal so I returned it and got a G27.
If you want sequential, better quality and feel wise pedal you need the G25.
The G27 of course is the best quality overall but they took out the sequential shift.
I bought the G27 simply because I don't use sequential shifter and have the extra cash.

DualShock 3 on a 32" Philips HDTV in 1080p.

There's a big difference in price between the DFGT and the G27.
For the money (£65) the DFGT is great. Feels good and has good force feedback.
Also it's the official GT5 wheel so has full in-game support. For the price of a G27 I'd rather have a Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbos S or GT3RS Wheel. Both are great wheels and both work very well with GT5P and the GT Academy TT.
If you can find one the G25 is a damn good wheel and an improvement over the DFGT.

Depending on when it comes out I will probably have to play it with the dualshock controller and HDTV for a bit until I can buy myself a nice wheel. I have never really minded controllers for console games, though. No biggie.

don't feel like bragging so
with DS3 on HDTV although thinking about picking up DFGT now as they are likely to go up in price when GT5 comes out.

If I were I would also buy a solid support like the wheelstand pro.

thought of making my own actually.
