I'm thinking of getting the Driving Force GT wheel for Christmas, so I'll be enjoying GT5 with that and my 32" HDTV.

This is where I will be!!!!

My neck hurts just looking at it.

DS3 with a SDTV, wondering if I should upgrade the tv first or get a wheel + stand.

Do the TV first. The visual quality will make getting the wheel a top priority after that. :P

My mom just bought me a 32" 1080p Sharp screen !

I already have a Driving Force GT !

I just need the game !

Driving Force GT
42 inch Sharp LED HD tv
A big couch
And my Sparco logo shoes.
What more could you ask for.

A racing seat instead of a couch.

Dude, no. I cannot let any GTPlanet member play this game on an SDTV. And 13 is way too small. Go with at least a 26-32 inch HDTV.

I got 5 on that fund bro, no one should have to play anything on a 13 inch tv, blasphemy!

If the stars are aligned i should be getting a G25(ill take the cut in cost to have sequential, either way you can mod the stick and pedals to be stiffer with pieces of rubber) and a new Slim.

I've stopped using my HDTV as a monitor cuz i dont want to burn it before i get GT5, and if i had space id try to get a old car seat for my "rig" but i've got no space as it is in these tiny Apts so i guess ill be Couching it up.

My neck hurts just looking at it.

For real, it's like those medieval Spanish torture contraptions.

A racing seat would be nice, but, its hard to store, it makes you look geeky, you need all that extra stuff to hook up your wheel and pedals to, your butt gets as sore as crap after a few hours, and most importantly, there far to pricy for me. Which is why I prefer a couch.

DFGT + Widescreen SDTV.

Yes, shame on me, for still not having bought a HDTV. :O And I strongly doubt I will have one by then.

I cannot understand this.

If you have a job, you can afford a good brand HDTV for $500 (32 inches, by the way).

Ask for one for the holidays!

I don't have a job atm, because I have some health problems. So I can't afford a HDTV right now.

You are right that a good HDTV doesn't cost that much anymore, and I will be getting one next year. And asking one for the holidays? Not going to happen. :)

I have worked it out now, 23" 1080p monitor with my Logitech Driving Force Ex (If I dont have a new wheel by then).

Also, when noone is home, the 50" LCD in the loungeroom :p.

g25 with playseat takuma sato
and a sony bravia 46"

Don't feel so bad; if you have a decent SDTV, the colour gamut on it is probably better than 90% of the LCD HDTV out there :)

G27 + Pioneer 42" Plasma, 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound

This is where I will be!!!!

JayKline wants to have the feeling of sitting real LOW in the car ... :dopey:

Really? how can you play and do long sessions with this?

Are you one of those people who likes to sit Real close to the screen at the movie theater???

I feel sick looking that this picture too

I also owned a DFGT, and you're right it is great. My absolute favorite wheel for playing GT3 on the PS2, and GT4 on the PS3.

For LAN races we bring the 40" down from the bedroom and set it up next to the 52". Will be an even bigger hoot when we complete our never ending cockpit project (waiting on a shipment from Fanatec).

;)

^i appreciate you rubbing it in!!!!!

Not to mention that the shifter is way out of reach compared to a normal car.

Oh, i'm still very pleased with my tv (it's a sony flatscreen, not that old), my PS3 games look great on it. But still, it's about time to upgrade to a HDTV. :)

Peeps what's the best wheel/pedals out there @ the moment ?. I'm thinking of buying a 50 inch Panny or Sony plasma to go with it.

The very most i'd spend is £400 Finnracer.I could push it a bit & get a playseat or similar.Just wondering if i can buy a handbrake & if it's compatible with GT5P & other games.

I´m used to play with both sticks on the dual shock (left for steering, right for gas and brake) since GT1. Right now I´m playing GT5P with my 32 inch L500A Bravia on full 1080p, and a 850 watt DZ570 5.1 Bravia theatre. I never thought on getting a wheel, BUT BOY, I WISH I COULD HAVE THE G25 OR G27!! Too bad I can´t buy one were I live...:( And an XBR series Bravia 40 inch or more...that I can get it here.

If its £400 for the wheel and the tele then id go for a new DFGT or a G25 if any are still in stock. However if you have £400 just for a wheel then id reccomend a fanatech turbo s or new G27.
