GT6 Before, At or After the PS4

I think ps3 will have a 12-15 year lifespan, they still supported the ps2 for a few years after ps3 came out as they will support ps3 when ps4 launches, launch titles are never high qaulity games meaning rush gt6 or wait a few more years. Besides PD is the only devolper pushing the ps3, microsoft NEEDS a new console we dont. Gt6 will be on the ps3 without a doubt.

15 years? Some things on the PS3 are already oudated, even mobile devices are on par of PS3 graphics by now. 15 years you say.

Microsoft needs we don't? 360 and PS3 are practically the same.

Sony said at launch of the PS3 in 2006 that it would have an 8year lifespan. Ps3 will be continued at least after 2014 still. The system is capable of greater games with the new blu ray disks that toshiba and sony created that can hold up to more and a TB. These disks now are 25GB dual layers. So 50GBs on GT5 if they maxed it out. Wasted some memory on trailers on the disk too.
 
Wouldn't of minded a 2 disk GT5 or a 2 disk GT6. Disk for arcade and disk for GT Mode. Sort of like GT2. Not like GT1 with 1 disk inside of a 2disk case that you cant even stick a game in the first spot because of the playstation logo is there instead of a clip to hold the disk
 
I do not get why GT6 should be released before PS4, meaning it should be on PS3...

PS3 is very limited with ram and graphical power! make it for PS4!!!!! Just keep updating GT5 for PS3 for now..
 
I like gt5 and all but if the company makes that decision it is showing us that they are not willing to suffer the cost of revamping their basline engine for the next gen yet.

It's an absolute insult to the advancement of technology that companies still port in the opposite direction. DICE with bf3 is building open PC then porting back to console the way it should be done. Everyone else builds of ancient baseline. (ps3).

If gt6 is on ps3 I will not be buying it as a pure protest that gt5 should have had more. The "gear" update was the biggest disappointment.
 
I hope Gt6 is released on PS3 As I have no plans on getting rid of mine and I also think it will Give us a chance to really see the improvments polyphony can make dosent make sense to just make one game and then start from virtually scratch.
 
GT6 will probably be scheduled to release upon the PS4's launch, but I can guarantee you that it won't come out until a couple years down the line.

People got to remember its easier nowadays for developers to patch and update games than ever before on consoles much like a pc. With that said, I believe GT5 will probbably keep getting the small tweaks and fixes for a while.

Could be all Sony needs if they just released DLC content...smart business people at Sony? I think not. Seems they put the same muppets in charge of security aswell as business planning...
 
GT6 a bit before the release of the PS4 and GT7 prologue After 1 year of PS4's release.

GT6 will be the GT5 most of the fans expected.

Remember what Kaz said a few months back that he wanted to spend another 2 years developing the game.

Well, I think Kaz was hoping for a PS4 announcement given PSP Vita and Wii 2 releasing this year and next year respectively. With no PS4 announcement, I think he released GT5 on PS3 to keep gamers happy and content. I seriously think he'll be looking towards making a GT6 Prologue to try and regain the strong GT confidence that was all too easily lost in GT5. I think GT6 Prologue will be on PS4 on release (as GT5 Prologue was in a bundle with the 40GB Piano Black PS3) - then GT6 a few years later.

I do think that the GT6 before the PS4 is a lot of wishful thinking. Fans who really want to see the next release as quickly as possible.
 
And they'll try to model true fluid aerodynamics in real time, and real time car corrosion, and real time crowd aging, and real time flora and fauna, which grow and eat and live and die in real time.......and it will not run smoothly and there will be screen tearing.

Honestly, all I'd hope for from gt6 is that they do not try to over reach.
 
lets just hope they don't invent some kind of kinect device and tell us we have to hold are hands up in the air and pretend to pop the clutch....lol those forza fanboys
 
Due to the adaptability of the PS3 and the ability of Sony to have software updates for the PS3, I think the PS3 will be around for a while longer.
 
Why won't Sony just sell hardware upgrades that you send your PS3 in, get the upgrade in RAM and then you get to play the game smoother. If your that much of GTryhard then you wouldn't mind paying extra money like 100-150 for like 1-2GB of RAM for your PS console. And if they do they should sell DLC on GT5 only for the people who have enough RAM on console. Because if I only got this game because I got it for Christmas then it wouldnt matter to me if it has more P cars or more cars in general. That is a heck of a better thing rather than having us wait for GT6 on Ps4 when when the PS4 does come out they can have more Ram on those and better Os than the PS3 can handle. Or like many other people said a GT5 SpecII would be nice for Sony to kind of test the GT6 engine to know what they are working with. Basically saying that treat this like how they are treating 3D if you have it then you can get what they paid 100+ for and be happy or stop being whiny girls and be happy that GT5 is out. If your so butt hurt go buy Forza and comeback to the side of the good green grass and tell us horrible the game is.

RAM and other stuff are soldered to the mainboard, no way to upgrade that lol

You are talking that GT5 is already stretching PS3 and GT6 will have to come out on PS4. Yes, but look at GT1 to GT2 and GT3 to GT4. I have played only GT2 and GT5 (Prologue too), but I've read a bit about this. GT2 in comparison to GT1 wasn't really any better in graphics (smoke effects was different). Some said that it was even a little bit worse. GT4 and GT3? Again the same, very similiar, some say that GT3 looks better. So don't expect GT6 to be really much better in terms of graphics than GT5 (if it'll come out on PS3). GT2 and GT4 had just much more content than GT1 and GT3.

Personally, I'll be glad if they get the shadows better (less jaggies, less flickering) and I will be happy if they give us choice between 720p and 1080p. Real choice I mean - 720p has less flickering shadows or something like that. Because now 720p is just less blurry on textures (MSAA instead of QAA, if I'm right), even I can see it on my native 1080 22' monitor. But flickering is still there :(

So, in conclusion GT6 will have more content, but same graphics, as it was with GT4 and GT2.

Best hypothesis yet on GT6 for PS3. Makes a lot of sense. However, I really hope you're wrong, because I'd really like to see the next GT on a more advanced system. Imagine the possibilities! I could be content with 5 with upgrades and continued support until 6 hit the shelves even if it took 4-5 years.

Where I think your wrong is the fact they've tried to cram GT5 chock full of content (and did) but with really no cohesion. 1038 cars and so many that are duplicates. This was a bad iteration of the series with the exception of physics and most of the graphics.
 
Like fifomaniak said, i believe that the "1-3-5 versions" are the basis of the "2-4-6 versions, that ones yes comes complete, but not so much grafically upgraded...

But PS3 can be whole another story, because they can implement something like MLAA, or drop resolution to 720p. (my dream) But I doubt it... 5 Prologue graphics was perfect IMO.
