Guys, I would like to hold my hands up for all that happened tonight. The story goes like this.
My setup at home and my tv are pefect for me. But, I was around my mates tonight. Took my PS3, we hooked it up and could get on my game save no problem. The problems I had were a) couldn't seem to sync his earpiece so I couldnt hear you guys on track over the engines, and b) his tv is so old, I just couldn't get it bright enough to be able to see in the dark tonight. Could hardly see my front tyres and it was very difficult to see the gaps of the cars in front of me so I was already on tilt.
But I can't use that as an excuse for the first caution. It was my schoolboy error that I kick myself for, and knew that I was in the wrong place.
I was in third behind Drop and Anarchy (I think) and I was 95% sure they were going to pit. I was most definately staying out but as they went low I tried to catch a little draft (just in case) so I could lead another lap. The two in front braked suddenly (for pits) and I ended up rearing (I think) Anarchy. That gave me instant engine damage and in trying to pit, hit the invisible wall, causing whatever else persued.
My mistake was I should have just stayed high (I even said it to myself half way around the turn, yet still got a little greedy and got caught out) and just stayed out the way of those pitting, letting both groups do their thing rather than worry about leading another lap.
I hold my hands up, and completely my bad. Apologise profusely and will take any penalty handed out. That incident was the catalyst of ruining the rest of the race.
In the caution lap, I couldn't hear what anyone was saying, and couldn't see much as the TV was so dark, so I was having to guess and judge it all. In my massive amount of concentration on these things, and with someone braking suddenly in front of me, I had gotten a little too close and straight behind who ever it was, and damaged again.
I think there was another incident on the bend just before, that I was not involved in or can be blamed for.
So, there, if anyones got any beef, please take it up with me or Tom. I forgot to save the first replay so have tried to make it as accurate as I can remember.
Can someone also please let me know who led end of lap 3, as I had squeezed through the middle of Joe and Tom, to potentially lead it.
I think our tactics were working out well as well Joe, and we were on for a strong finish. Very sorry mate.
As for the second race, what a blast with everyone jostiling and fighting for 4 whole laps. That was awesome.
Apologies again for potentially ruining the race guys.
