Tired Tyres
If you are referring to the crowd then be aware that Paul Ricard has a maximum capacity of 4,000.

Yes you read that right, four thousand spectators.

Only 4,000 huh? That's odd. I wonder why they didn't build more fan facilities.

It used to have a much bigger capacity when it was a Grand Prix circuit but once it lost that race, Bernie Ecclestone bought it and turned it into a test track.

Oh. It looks like a nice track. That's something else Bernie did that I don't agree with. did he replace those spots with anything?

Yes. Lots and lots of blue run off tarmac and lots and lots of red run off tarmac!

Oh and the odd bit of telemetry stuff as well.

I also like Magny-Cours. Is Blancpain still going there? Such an amazing track that is forgotten in the middle of nowhere.

This should go with ALMS, but not sure if we have an ALMS thread. Couldn't find it.

Goodness! The new Viper looks hideous! :yuck: It looks like an Evora with it's neck all stretched out, and then flattened. I thought the chief of design at Dodge stated that they were modeling the new Viper "off a naked woman on a beach"? Maybe they did, only they must have used Rosie O'donnell.

There are certain angles that I agree with you with, but then there are some angles that make it look just amazing! ... Oh, and the race spec version, you can't go wrong there!

Front end is like a Maserati / Corvette hybrid. But bodyshape-wise, especially the side and doors, very reminiscent of the old mid-90's Viper.

They get to keep their 8 liter engine with massive restrictions... I wonder how much that will play to their disadvantage at smaller courses.

He's decent, but nothing spectacular. They should have got Spencer Pumpelly or any of the other current GTC/LMPC stars

Pretty sure he's only doing enduros so its not as if he's doing the full season. As for Spencer Pumpelly, I'm pretty sure he's at the moment still tied up with Porsche and TRG, at least thats the last team I remember him driving for.

RACECAR
Exactly whats wrong with that?

He's not that great. But I just don't like him tbh. The Way he talks about other drivers, and he's cocky/arrogant when he's not the best driver out there.

There's a lot worse arrogance and "I know better" drivers out there....
