The Lexus/Toyota 5 liter? I thought they used Toyota engines in their Evora for a while.

They back Rebellion right now, who I thought used Toyota engines.

Rebellion already used Toyota before Lotus appeared on the scene to plaster their stickers everywhere.

And the Evora/Elise Toyota link has meant nothing so far in most series. For example, in Indycar they've just re-badged Judd engines as Lotus. No doubt they would do the same in DP.

Lotus historically doesn't have any solid connection with any engine manufacturer - they've used plenty of different engines before from Fords to Hondas to Renaults...Lotus used to be just a chassis builder - engines being something they plugged in to make some power.

I have a buddy that races in the MX-5 cup and was in F2000 2 years ago.
And of course, the one track that they don't come with the ALMS with is the one closest to me. :grumpy:

Monterey is an awesome track. Get to the top of the hill where the corkscrew is early, watch the start from there. Best seat in the house.

I was going to sit there, or perhaps near the bridge, the last turn before the final straight to the Corkscrew.
 
Bit late posting this, but Sebring was great! Aston Martin Derby held a special party viewing of the entire race, with a prize draw for closest number of laps completed, my mate won a RLM hat signed by Hindaugh!
They also brought along a special car for us to play with during the breaks!:

Where will the ELMS be viewable online? I was going to get my dad to record it but I now have the weekend free and am looking for a stream :)
 
Yeah my dad's recording it off of Motors, but I'm at uni for a couple of weeks yet and don't have tv... Is it not being shown the ELMS site or anything?
 
Slept through my alarm so missed the first 50 minutes, did I miss much?
 
Probably because the race ended about 90 minutes before you posted?

It was a nice pure endurance race without the interruption of safety cars. 👍

GT went down to the flag anyway. 👍
 
And to think I thought the ALMS was in dire straits with its car count, the ELMS seems to be in even worse shape.
 
The ALMS seems to have a Healthy grid. LMPC and GTC have at least 5 (Last time I checked), the 2 LMP1's, and about 3 LMP2's. Plus 2 Corvettes, 2 BMW's, at least 1 Ferrari, the Lotus, and Flying Lizard amongst the other GTE Porsches.

I honestly dont think there are enough race teams to warrant 3 Le Mans series.

A way to boost car count would be to require ALL WEC tems to commit at least 1 car to either the ALMS or ELMS for a full season minus the WEC schedule conflicts.

If you are referring to the crowd then be aware that Paul Ricard has a maximum capacity of 4,000.

Yes you read that right, four thousand spectators.
 
While I don't exactly hate Paul Ricard, I do always question whats the point of running a race with a capacity like that.
