I can't stand when GT5 does that to me! They gave me the first pit stall twice in a row now! By the time I get to select what tires and fuel level I want, I have like 2 seconds before the car stops and the pit crew is waiting! I tried to rush and choose mediums front and rear for the car for a late stint, and I ended up going mediums/softs. There was some lag as well. I'm not sure what was going on but the room was ok at first, then I had to quit the game then restart it to get off a frozen screen before the race. If it weren't for that stupid pit stall I would have taken mediums and the stint could have went for 11 maybe 12 laps. But instead I got stuck because of the slow response (anyone else have that problem?) and ended up taking softs on the rear. Made me have to make an extra pit stop. Still was able to get pretty close in the last stint. Decreased the lead from 28 seconds to 19 seconds. Good low fuel run.

Sorry about the lag guys. I figured out the issue and it shouldnt happen again. Left my laptop on but also it was running a scan, changed my scan date and time so it should not be a prob in the future.

Your stall was second-first was Kevin's. I'm doing a little research on the order of pit stalls... I've also taken photos, (LOTS) and reviewed crashes and unwelcome glitches. Your glitch tire change occurred on lap 38. It happened to me @ Daytona.

Joe, try R1 and L1 to shift.

I tried that setup, but i'm not use to accelerating with my ring finger yet. It will probably be set to one of the buttons. On a good note I was lapping about 1 sec slower than the standard Ds3 setup with only 1 hr of practice. hopefully this will work out after proper time with this setup 👍

I hope so =)

Are you guys coming into the pits to fast? I heard gt5 will give you a penalty for that. Or is this a totally different glitch? I make sure that im not comming in too hot. Never had a problem yet. Knock on wood.

I did the same entry speed as Pipi and Seth, and nothing happened to me.
And on that note, Pipi, Melancholy showed were your incident, and it's fair to say, you got robbed. I can't imagine how upset you would have been.
Don't worry I know the feeling.

I tried it out last night, but I don't know which buttons I want to use for shifting yet? It was nice to finally apply gradual throttle for once'

I was amazed at the fact that we can assign look left & look right camera functions without using the head-tracking device and that cockpit only view. I will be doing even cleaner side by side racing now. you would figure Polyphony would of lets us know in the update details section. I mean everyone is looking for the side view shots. For all who does not know just go to controller settings and assign the look left & right buttons to your D pad or Steering Wheel
I have mine set as the right analogue stick, flick down for gearing up and flick up for gearing down. I don't use Manual Transmission usually, but I've found that for working quickly through the gears under braking, it's quicker and easier to flick the analgoue stick upward.

I was impressed I kept the BMW on the track and whatnot, although I was less than impressed with my pit strategy and the car's tyre wear.

It actually depends on the track you're racing. I believe in Suzuka next week we won't have a problem with that, but Monza is a whole different story.

I think your right. Its the tracks with the shorter pit entry you have to worry about.

For all the ds3 talk. I used to have it where x would be gear up and square would be gear down. I used the right analog for looking left and right. Analog button was used for horn. Haha. Digital pad was used to adjust tcs. R2 for gas L1 for brake. Circle for handbrake. Triangle for reverse. R1 for highbeam. I think that was it. But you can basically configure it to whatever you want. I won season 1 with a ds3. :). Maybe I should go back to it. Havent won anything with the g27 yet :(.

Here is this weeks standings video, i made some changes from last week because i thought seth had started the year in the Bentley but he drove Toyota instead.

So I guess we'll use your videos as our Standings rather than on a Google Document?

I'm hoping BMW gets a podium soon now. I'm ashamed to see so many 0s in the points there. It's so my fault. Hurry, Monza!

Yeah, i think its more entertaining anyway.

Edit: I just bought F1 2011, anyone have it? Im about to go crack it open.

I have it, but haven't played much lately, being that I'm currently racing 2 series on GT5 and about to start another one.

Cowboys and I have it.
But I suck even worse than him at it.
And that's saying something.

I played 2010 and it was a good game, just very buggy even after the patches. So far this one looks very similar, but with some new things here and there. Right now i suck at it, the feel is totally different from GT5. Ive always enjoyed F1 racing though, all the way back to the Super Monaco days 👍

It's only a huge "rub in the face" hearing about F1 2011... DAMN I NEED MONEY... Though, I AM happy with the SCCA Solo2 Autoslalom later this year...

Whats a good time for GT at Suzuka?

Im in the 2:1 range. I think I may do more adjusting to see if I can make my tires last longer instead of worrying about quickest lap time.

Your lap time is a ratio? Thats tough to match :sly:

Nah im guessing you meant 2:01? If so then thats a good time if i remember right.

Hey im really interested in driving, perpetuallly the GT Class. My name is datboitrey23 on PSN

Haha. Im just glad you understood what I was trying to say. Im gonna blame it on my fingers being to fat to type on my phone.

Gonna go ahead and be cocky and say vettes will be on the podium again. :). If I can get a spot in though. I shouldnt have changed to be a reserve. :(

You would probably have more luck getting into lmp. Gt class is loaded with drivers.

I like the vettes chances in every race haha. But the GT will have an advantage here with the handling, i hope i can produce a tune that will put me up to par with it.

As for the LMP drivers, we only had 3 last race... oh boy. Im considering doing LMP next season though, but i hope we get more active drivers in that class.

Im just hoping to keep it close to the leaders and hopefully take advantage of any mistakes.

I may have to miss this upcoming race as well, but lets hope not I like getting my points, and friday night was suppose to not be a conflicting time for me'

Actually come to think of it I'll be missing also. Doh. I forgot I'm graduating Friday. Blah.

Mercedes, welcome to LMP, the more competitive but less full class!

TT13, tough break man.... (Pffft, yeah right! Congrats on grad!)

Also, do you think, that since the laps are longer, fuel/tires are less important now? Fewer chances to stop by, might put more people in the pits @ the same time....

Welcome, if you want to run the GT class there is a seat available for Ford, Dodge and Aston Martin. There can only be 2 drivers for each car so those are your choices. Next race is Friday so let us know by then, but im sure most would hope you consider LMP since they need more active drivers.

I try to tune and drive to conserve tires. As far as fuel goes. I only get some towards the end of thr end of the race. Hopefully enough to get me through. I might change that up next race though. Lesson learned from the last race.
