I was so shocked as to how low I could get the pp, and still stay on pace. At one point I lowered it by 10pp and then set a faster lap time than before.

Holy Jeebus Mike! Enjoy the frustration of not being able to make a move stick on corner exit ;)

My first night out with you guys and it was a blast. I think I got 5th, 4th and 2nd, so steady improvement.

I'll be back for more.

Wow, an other great evening of racing. Never made it close the front, but I had some intetesting duel in the pack. Could have done better on a more forgiving track, Eiger is bitting back as soon as your anthousiasm exceed your abilty. Thank you to everyone for racing with respect and stay clean even in the heat of the fight. I will post pictures later this week.

I have said it before and will continue to say it...I truly look forward to Monday's every week (and it has nothing to do with going back to work after a great weekend). I was very pleased with this group for the first couple of weeks but had some small reservations about tonight as a true test...large group, poor track for passing. Group exceeded my expectations as always. Great racing by all from what I could see.

Man, I also had a great time tonight.... and it wasn't just because of my win ;) Im already looking forward to next week, but I have a question about tuning. I tried to get into my '85 Nissan Rally car, and it said that it was a tuned car. I haven't added anything to this car, though. I looked through the tuning menu, and I guess there are some 'tuning parts' already on it 'stock.' I do know, however that some of you have used rally cars already, and I was wondering if there was anything you had to do, or just those specific cars are not considered 'tuned' by the game.

Also, apologies to Hugo for me ruining his lap time. I was just messing around in the warmup.

Lastly, anyone take pictures? There were some close battles that I am sure would make some great photos.

To enter race/rally cars you have to change everything to default. That includes wing, suspention, transmission, etc. Basically anything that can be adjusted has to be set to default, ecept for the engine limiter of course.

EDIT: As for photos I save the replays but rarely get a chance to go through them and take pics. Anyone is welcome to post race images, if your lucky they may get put on the front page.

Juju, go through and reset all of your settings (suspension, trans, lsd). For whatever reason most race cars won't get through the first time. Resetting won't change the numbers, but some how gets the car to be legal.

It was bad timing. It was by far my best lap ever in that car, was on pace to break into the 14s. I'm cool with messing around, but to be honest driving backwards is one of the few things I don't find funny, unless it's on daytona lol

Sadly I missed the first two races and shot myself in the foot when I put a wheel on the dirt under braking and then again on the final corner and threw away a nice little lead. Oh well that's racing. Quite happy aside from that as I ran the RGT without ABS, and totally smoked the target time in clean air with a 14.9, but couldn't do that consistently.

Today I cannot even get close to the target time in the BTR. That's gonna be one hell of a roller coaster in next week's race! Gonna be an evening of frustration and regret as choosing RUF as my manufacturer for Eiger...

Congratulations to our three winners tonight, Johnnypenso, Jujubean and SagarisGTB.

But a big pat on the back for everyone for a great nights racing, considering the rather tricky conditions.

Lastly, anyone take pictures? There were some close battles that I am sure would make some great photos.

Jujubean, I will post pictures later this week.👍

Welcome to TomBrady, it is nice to have you racing here.

Just out of curiosity, who else beside, Zorrin, Johnny and I, is running with ABS at zero?

More great racing!!! It's nice to be able to run in a pack and not have to worry about what everyone is doing, even on a tight track like that. There were some bumps and bruises but that's racing.

I have to say though I am frustrated with PD's last update. I really like running without ABS but my car is nearly silent when running near anyone else and that's so frustrating!!:nervous::drool::ouch: Of all the things to screw up on a racing game, you'd think that your sound NOT disappearing when you are racing side by side with someone else would be a high priority!!!

The exact moment that I snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Awesome.

Attention!

Round #5 will be taking place on Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, with times to be set with 100% surface water. Tyres will be Racing Intermediate. Come race day weather will be set at 100% surface water, 50% weather, with a changeability of 2 and then left to it's own devices.

I am giving everyone an early heads-up to make sure everyone has the Spa DLC and to give everyone plenty of time to practice wet weather driving.

I will publish the target time in line with usual protocol.

I messed around a bit with ABS on 0 today before the race, but I decided I should probably practice a bit more before jumping in a race like that. I need to get a foam ball too.

Looks like round 5 is going to be pretty interesting!

I really enjoyed the racing at Eiger. Good clean fun. 👍

The only problems were the hectic starts, it was always going to be tricky on this narrow circuit. Nevertheless, I apologize for bone-headedly moving across the track at the start of race 2. :yuck:

Round 5 sounds interesting...should be some good fun. I run ABS 1. I tried 0 a long time ago, but that was also before I learned you brake better with less than 100% of the pedal. I might try it again, but that will be after the newly ordered G27 comes in and I have a chance to work on my shifting and heel/toeing. First priority is to shift, ABS will come after that (maybe). Curious for those that row gears, do you move the shifter from side to side depending on what hand drive car you are using or do you always leave it just on the left or on the right?

Begining of the race, nice variety of cars all united by the same pace around Eiger.

Eiger is not prone to a lot of passing, but no one told that to that league, mix different cars with equalized talent and you get plenty of passing no matter what.

Look closely, this is near the end of the race, every one is still there within a second or two from front to back, it does not get any better and competitive than that.

No this is not synchronize driving, this is parity racing, all about respect, competition and talent.

I thought that was rather a brave move choosing the RGT. Good job though in getting it around the track.

For anyone interested in trying out ABS=0 it sounds silly but don't do it because everyone else is and don't feel like there's any pressure to do so. It is fun, it really does change the whole nature of the game and I'd highly recommend it, but just because a few of us have tried it and are sticking to it, don't feel like it means we all have to. I do it for the challenge, for fun, for something different etc. If you try it and it doesn't work for you, as it didn't for me the first couple of times I tried it, then stick to ABS and enjoy the racing:tup:

If however you are interested, be sure and check out the ABS vs. No ABS thread in the MCRC Social Group and you might pick up a few tips, or contact anyone directly that is trying things without ABS and I'm sure they'll be glad to help:idea:

Great pics Miata and Cote:cheers:

Round 4 MCRC London R

TrackBound7/TrackBound7/Toyota 86 GT '12/339pp/1.10.585/edt

I am thinking about trying the 86 MR2s for the VCRC. I forgot which London version I liked, I have raced the forward version in a couple different leagues and enjoyed that track. Don't think I have raced the reverse version, but should be fun.

I just about pooped my pants until I realized this isn't for the VCRC round 3, haha. London is a fun track though, and I'm excited to try some lower PP cars!

I am also looking forward to driving and racing some cars that have collected dust in the back of my garage for months. Be nice to get out some FF cars too and see how they handle in stock form at this PP level.

I had the same idea about some FF cars. I was really thinking about the 76 rabbit/gti for the VCRC. On CM tires though I had a TON of understeer.
