Yeah, I have my reasons. Trying to stay off the boards b/c I created enough stir last week. IDK if people were glitching or what but there were several cars all over the track and slamming into me down the straights. I stayed clean minded my track position if pushed off track etc... but in the end it was just too many incidents.

Probably just my inexperience with racing other cars on track.

:grumpy:

Sorry to cam for a big bump later on in the race.
I had no clue that we were gonna start before getting to the final corner.
It killed my momentum

Sorry about the confusion Mike. I sort of forgot that you weren't in our first race :dunce:

Yeah, we try to start the race as soon as possible. Just pay attention to pole/pace car. Once they break pace the race is a go.

Maybe, but I've heard the same thing from a couple other people in Room 2. I'd have to check the replay cause I was kind of by myself the whole race lol. Do you remember what laps?

If the cars were jumping around it and being erratic it sounds like lag. I've had it before, being bumped off track and all because of it. and not much you can do in that situation mate

in the early laps when we dropped off the pack I pushed (bump drafted) you and a few other's down the straight, I don't remember who was sideway's on the racing line in the last turn but its a blind exit, there was nothing I could do to avoid a collision, and if you were the car I side swiped after that going down the straight I'm sorry I couldn't help it, I didn't realize I had damage until I was in your door, also didn't realize you were next to me until I was in your door,

the biggest issue with room 2 was I don't think many people understood how much of a run you get while drafting at Fuji, there was a few laps while chasing Joe I was actually hitting the rev limiter at 290KPH before pit lane exit, and there were a few incidents where I got pushed almost slammed into to turn 1 but its the nature of the track, these things cant be helped with people who don't plan for it, I know Fuji very well, it would be my strongest track on the calendar, as proven today,

the biggest thing I've noticed in my opinion is that people are having a big cry because they didn't win for what ever reason, at Tokyo I got turned around intentionally by 4 different people, 2 of those people didn't turn up for today, but the other 2 seem very vocal about everything, its nearly enough for me to drop the series,

For those who are moaning and groaning on how overly powerful the Lexus is, look at lap 11 of the replay with me vs Ubagubaz.
I got a better exit yet I couldnt get by on the straight.

Not a great race here, got caught in the pack, boxed here & there and made mistakes.
Turn 1 seemed to be the bumping spot. :(
But most of all not a great race because I was holding dirrahea in the whole way. Finally relieved.

Not really. Maybe I'll watch the replays. Do I get last place points for DNF?

There was, it's also my way of being PC about it from my perspective, as it could be totally skewed.

My retirement (rage quit) was more than likely not lag though.

Either way, what you guys have going on here is really freaking cool and I appreciate it!

Yeah you get points for racing. Everyone gets something for racing. I'll put up my Room 2 replay tomorrow. Thanks for racing :)

I won room 2 in a Standard Subaru, Joe came second in the Premium Subaru, but our lap times were .200 off the slowest of room 1,
The Lexus compared to the Subaru seemed to have better tug in a straight line, but that's all,

You started very late, you didn't keep pace with the guy in front of you. That caused us from 7th to 9th to fall way back off the lead pack. Even though you ran wide and I passed you on the opening lap when we first went, we still couldn't catch up.

Another thing is you swerved back and forth on the straight too much for my liking. Not sure if this series has a rule against that. But It's cool, the thing is you went over the white line to the right for pit entrance. If you cross that line it's one thing, but then you swerve back over and cut across the white line after the pit entrance. That line (irl) isn't suppose to be crossed. Just for reference. Also you bumped me going into turn 3 (coca cola corner) and made me smack the side of one of the Lexus's. He spun and fell to the back.

Besides all that, it was a good race except for that start. Racing against people took tire life from me, but I concede there's no way I could have made a 0-stop race work.

Misinterpreted what Joe told me, but apparently, the premium Subaru is completely unrestricted now, but still on racing medium tires.

Remember, you can switch between cars round to round, but once Round 4 comes and beyond, you must use the same car.

The run offs were used alot by a person in room 2. Please look at replay. This person also pushed his way around the track using other's.

so say's the person whom dive bombed 5 cars in turn 1,

in one go I might add,

Sorry guys fell asleep , this race start time is a challenge for me :(

Looks like another Lexus domination , we need to balance the specs more .

Litchi is like immortal, so wasn't a Lexus domination as such. Just a litchi domination.

And maths winning margin was only 4s not the previous 40s

Litchi is the best ds3 driver i know

I have a race with him later , ill keep him honest

Hey guys room 2 had some good racing I don't know what some people were complaining about. Racing always has those small bumps and nudges but thats just racing and you have to avoid them as best as you can. I mean I got my tail hit and spun out which knocked me back 5 places but hey thats ok. I finished 3rd in the end.

I think as long as there are no major accidents then the racing is fine.

This was my first ever online race series experience and it was a lot of fun.

Thanks for hosting alefin and will see you next week. Oh yeah and I'll make sure to work on my setup this time.

Got some crappy, phone photos of the race. Close stuff!

Just watched the replay and I have to say that it seems there was a lot of running wide in sector 3 with no one letting off. I ran wide a few times while battling with Phil and Zach but let off every time, even to lose positions. I just think the track boundaries should be enforced to everyone, in qualifying and race

No doubt. I haven't watched the replay except to get end results, but it sounds like it was more prevalent than necessary.

If you cross boundaries occasionally that's fine, people make mistakes, but if you keep doing it lap after lap, you need to slow down more for that corner or you'll be penalized.

I don't think it's necessary, but I'll make a vid explaining track boundaries.

It's the same sort of track as Fiji with the run off's etc. The race should stay the same as people run off to avoid collisions or get knocked off the track. As for Qualifying, you have nobody to look out for and no obstacles, therefore penalties should be on.

In my humble opinion, this is what i consider 100% clean:

In any case, when there's no rumble strip like t1 and t4, i use the solid white line as the track boundaries. 2 wheels off the line is clean, more is dirty.

Yup, that's fine.
