For those who like FIA GT and that kind of leagues there is a great mod for it that I was playing these days. You can find the last year´s Nissan GT-R car there as well.

I've actually been making lap time comparisons between it and the 2010 GT3 mod and am about to record all the laps I did with both mods.

That´s nice. GT3 2010 by SandroX perhaps?:sly: There is one from 2011 as well called Adac GT Masters 2011. That is good too.
Also I have a customized one (GT3) from an Spanish forum which is really good but is only for VIP´s (like me) and "pilots".

I have like 40GB only in mods for rFactor on my PC...I tried almost everyone and made some comparisons too. ;) I like to do hot laps and see the little differences on each car.

At least this one has great immersion and a nice feeling overall. 👍

I keep getting this everytime I try to run a replay with the Blancpain Endurance Series Mod.

I've been looking for lower Formula racers recently, haven't really found anything of interest other than a few vintage cars.

I'm still waiting for an F1 1995 mod, but at this point, it might be easier to just install F1C 99-02 or F1 2002 and get the 95 mod for that.

Have you tried GP2?
 
No, I need to download GP2.

Have you run a trace? There appears to be a texture missing, or wrong for the Gallardo. A trace would point to exactly what it is that needs to be corrected.

Trace:
Right click rFactor shortcut, select properties. On the "Target" line, add Trace=1000 at the end of the line.

It should look like this. "C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor\rFactor.exe" trace=1000

And do I click "Ok" or "Apply"?
 
Next time rFactor crashes, go into the userdata folder, then LOG, and there will be a file named "trace". That will give you the details of what caused the crash.
 
I downloaded Blancpain but it was really poor on my FPS - usually with a 40 car grid I can still maintain at least 25fps - with Blancpain was struggling to break 10 :(.

Tried it and I got a file that says "Race Cast Trace" and all it says when I open it in notepad is "Race Cast Trace".

Also, this is what I get in replay after that "Error Loading Texture MATH" message appears:

Have you downloaded or modified any files since?

Other then copy the replays from my last install, not really. Only mod that appears to be have this issue is the BES mod.

Race Cast Trace is the wrong file. There should be a trace(.txt) file in that folder if it was set up right.

Set up a trace file to see errors:

Right click on your rFactor Desktop Icon, and choose PROPERTIES.

In the TARGET box after .exe (leave a space) then add -trace=30

Next time you get a CTD, go to your Userdata folder and in the LOG folder there will be a trace.txt file.

The number after "trace=" is just for how many lines show up in the trace.

I might have missed something in the original explanation on how to set it up.

Got that trace to work. Now I have a file that actually says Trace.

That is a lot of missing textures. It could possibly be a conflict with DX7/8/9 level.

Holy balls, that was it. I had it set on DX7 (kinda forgot to change it when I reinstalled rFactor) and after I changed it to DX9, the cars finally show up. Strange how picky some mods are.


I have all of F-1-SR's F1 mods, and I found their 2011 GP2 mod on here: http://rfactor.no-ip.info:100/RFACTOR1/

Edit: Could it be that the DX level is why the skins on the WEM Mod would also not show up? They didn't generate the error messages but only tw o or three of them had their skins while the rest were all black.

Leafing around.. the WEM 2.0 mod links posted a few pages back are of the unfinished version, hence the errors and missing textures.

Chaoszero has said on F1Classic no-one else can upload links and when he can upload them he will, though a new job has put it back. So it's not totally dead.

The Toyota TS030 mod is a WIP.

Sure enough, all the WEM Skins show up now with DX9 set. Interesting how just that setting makes a world of difference.

Small little series I'm starting today, not to so much say which is better, but to share the experience and feel with both mods through each car.

For the first installment, this is the first of six videos comparing the GT3 cars of the BES mod and the FIA GT3 mod via laps at Road America. This particular one features the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 GT3.

FIA GT3 2010: The car overall was abit tricky, but manageable. Very forgiving and very stable. No issues under brakes and hardly ever me grief.

Blancpain Endurance Championship: In stark contrast, this was much less forgiving. The car felt abit lazy in the tighter turns and was extremely sketchy under braking as It had the tendency to shoot to one side. Was hard to drive with the same confidence as I did with the other car.

Will be posting more of these over the next few days.

Hi guys, my rFactor crashes every time after lap 3, anyone know what the problem could be? please help! (BTW i get no error message, just windows trying to work out what went wrong)

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED, it was RFT 2012 mod causing some sort of shader problem.

FIA GT3 2010: Car is very good, begs to be driven aggressively. Only tricky when carrying speed in certain corners, but really stable in every other aspect, including under the brakes.

Blancpain Endurance Championship: Everything the same only that little bit better in every aspect. Feels abit more powerful in torque so the margin for error is abit narrower, but generally just as stable and agile.
