Plus one unlockable car colour ;)

I've been waiting for this for ages, hope the full game is out next week.

Quite good fun, I have to admit... however I'd prefer to see a modern version of the game rather than a faithful remake, warts and all... still, I'd consider buying it as a fun multiplayer thing, although it depends on how much the game is going to be...?

Downloaded the demo last night 👍 was quite an enjoyable blast . The online part has an option to invite, could this be sort of a private race function for your PSN friends?

Can GTP_ tagged members finally get to race in private rooms!

£9.99 is a bit of a bargain, and all hale the original GTI the Mk1 Golf

Well, other than F1:CE, WipeoutHD, etc, etc, yeah this might be a new way to race together, lol.

yeah looks to have private rooms, eye toy suport, coms suport and a few game modes, bomb tag seems to be a take on cat and mouse, just one cat though (guy with the bomb) but should be fun with the open world map.

Any word if this is coming to the American store?

Nope, you can't have it, you've got SOCOM and we haven't.......only joleing no news but you should have it soon.

Played the demo yesterday. I'd never heard of the game before so to me it's all new. The demo seems a little weak (I know demos don't represent the full game but it reminded me of the very very first Ridge Racer game it was so "simple") but I expect it's the perfect sort of game for online racing.

The graphics didn't seem up to much either. Again I know that isn't the point, but the graphics on Outrun 2006 C2C on the PS2 seem equally as good as GTI club on the PS3. If they aren't going for realism I'd expect a big kind of "WOW" to the graphics, bright, colourful, great effects etc.

All that said, maybe I'm being a little too critical of a game that'll cost a tenner...

^Put it this way, its an arcade cabinet game from 1996 (!!!) thats been ported to PS3 and had the graphics tweaked and a couple of extra modes and cars stuck on plus an online mode. As Eurogamer pointed out, the only parts really improved in graphics are the cars, the city itself is same old 1996 graphics.
Also, its rumoured that there will be extra DLC for it - though I doubt it just because it really isn't worth paying for what is likely going to be just a couple of new cars or something.

Seeing as its pretty difficult to even find an arcade anywhere nowadays, I think its worth 10 credits to play forever and to always have 8 player link games online. People paid £30 to play Time Crisis on their PS1 and PS2...so I think its justified.

Oh, and seriously, you haven't played this game properly till you've played 8 player bomb tag.

Yeah with no referance to the original arcade game it will seem a little basic, Theyve spruced up the graphics and made the track layout a lot bigger than the original but have kept the look and feel of the original, which is the whole point really.
I love this game to bits and can't wait to get the full release and take it online and also get to grips with the custom editor (custom decal editor) should lead to some oldschool close races oh and anyone beat 2:15.589s ?

I got a 2'15 the other day on it, can't remember the exact time though.

I don't think I'll get the full game anyway, even for a tenner. Wipeout HD seems more my thing, and I still have my PS2 with classic arcade games like the aforementioned Outrun, with Ridge Racer V and a couple of NFS games.

Yeah I got it, bloody hard LOL multi player is working a treat as well. love the old 70,s UK police scheme for the mini Ne Nah Ne Nah LOL

I played the demo and I am now waiting for this to come to the US.

It was simple fun. Most arcade racers are gimmicky, like RUSH or Cruisn'. While this has a gimmick, it is one I can appreciate: small european hatchbacks.

If they don't bring it to the US then I guess I will have to find a way to purchase it from the EU store.

I have the full game, it if really fun, especially just for a quick muck about rather than a serious race...

It's worth £10 easily, in my oppinion.

Just make another account on your ps3, make another network account, and make up an address in europe or something,. then there you go, europe store, I did it to get the American store.

Way, way, way ahead of you, by a couple of years. That's how I got the demo. I want to buy the full version. It is getting it to accept my American credit card that is the issue.

If I get some PlayStation Network cards I may attempt to see if they will work on the EU store.

It isn't something I will worry about if I hear confirmation that it will never come to the US.

I am checking out the demo to see if it is the same as teh EU one, which is likely. I would have just straight up bought it last night, but pay day is today.

The only difference I have seen so far is the file size. The EU version is 333MB and the NA version is 289MB.

Sometimes when there is a difference in file sizes it has to do with a EU version having multiple language options, but as far as I can tell that is not the case for this demo.

Both say it is version 1.00, they have the same menus, same music, same options, and same car.

As for the game itself, I'm still very much on the fence.

Speaking of differences between regional versions of games and demos... does anyone know of a site that tracks and reports these differences?

Thanks!

I had heard that is was setup in a LAN at a couple of the European Shows, has anyone tried running multiplayer in LAN? It seems like it would be the type of game that would be great to play with buddies in the same room.

Anyone try it?

MM
