its an easy way for T10 to get a tax write off and then anything over that 100,000 limit is pure profit. Kinda sneaky imo.

Am I missing something?

Other than the VIP cars, I already have everything offered in the other packs. I bought the standard version of the game, but I already have all the cars from the "Legends Car Pack". I already have all the tracks in the "Sidewinder" and "Benchmark" Track Packs...

I don't get it. Who doesn't already have all of this content?... It shipped with the game (other than the VIP content).

Where's the new DLC we voted on?

You're missing the point. All the content listed (apart from the VIP cars) is already on the disc that came with the standard (bare bones) game.

I'll pick up the VIP membership (finally!), but I'm still waiting for the car pack we are supposed to be getting (voted on at Jalopnik.com)...

EDIT: Just checked on Xbox Live, and sure enough all of the "new" content offered as DLC is already loaded on the disc everyone received when they bought the bare bones version of the game. Turn 10, what on Earth are you playing at?

Ok, let me get this straight, so I should buy the tracks (Proving Ground and Benchmark) again? Like twice?
And yeah, same for the cars, I just checked for 1981 BMW M1 and 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa and they are in the game already? Maybe they become affordable when you buy the package? :lol:

is there a 3rd world version of the game I wasn't aware of? Complete with 1 track, 2 cars, and instead of earning money, you give it all to a Totalitarian Regime?

I think, if I remember right the Jalopnik pack(s) are coming out at the end of the month, and then a little later in the year. The guys over a Jalop did a teaser series of their ten cars all week this week, I imagine the full-reveal coming tomorrow.

I can dig the addition of the VIP pack though. As for the rest, it sounds like they (maybe?) stopped including those track packs and car packs with later editions of the game. So, these would be for the people who didn't hop in right away. Maybe?

Well, the standard game comes with a DLC voucher, but guess what, pirate games nor used games have the code anymore, so thats why they are selling those things that everybody except jack sparrows and buyers of used games have.
 
I'll take the VIP DLC as I only have the standard version of the game. That my money will go to a worthy cause is a bonus, but I would rather see T10 donate a % rather than limitit to $100k.

All the content in question is on the 2nd disc that comes with the standard game. Are you saying newer versions of the game (was not aware their were any other besides LE and Standard) do not come with the second disc?

The VIP pack is pretty underwhelming... Not as interested in any of the cars as I thought I would be. The GT3-RS is fun, and the F430 Scuderia is fast (although it doesn't sound the part).

Sure looking forward to the first real DLC car pack.

Teaser of the ten cars? You mean shots of the in-game models? We've known what the car models will be for quite some time now.

EDIT: Nevermind, I have taken a gander at the March pack (was hoping for the user chosen pack to be released) and I am fairly unimpressed.

Also did I get all those cars for buying the VIP package or do you get such presents randomly / monthly?

Sorry, I know sounds like stupid questions, but this is all a bit confusing, still nobody told me why those DLCs I already bought are there to buy again also...

Sorry I wasn't very clear before, making you have to Google things (lol). The new pack is... Ishy... But certainly pretty Jalop. I look forward to racing around with the 911 Sport Classic (hoooyeah!), and frankly, just being able to hear the EB110 open up (yowzah!). The odd choice is the Rapide, but, I'll survive.

If you clicked on the message in your inbox, it should show up in your car list. Sometimes you have to log out and log back in for it to show up (which is what happened with my gifted Zonda)...

Oh, I see. Well I clicked on it, it told me there was an error, but I thought I saw it in my garage... so long story short, I deleted the message later and the Porsche is gone. Stupid noob mistake, I guess. :banghead:

You got two of those superfast Glitch/ Mazdas (de Ferran?) as well BTW? I thought I could sell one of these, but IDK if there's a difference other than the liverie. :dopey:

Yes, I also received 2. All the vehicles are tuned (adjusted settings) as you need to remove the previous users setting (hit "X") to change anything with the settings. So, I imagine there may be differences in the tuning. Nevertheless, I sold both, as I already owned a few of them.
