Whipped this up...it's pretty amazing how much difference a premium car can be.

Nice comparison!

Short Bus
Was this car upgraded for free?

I still have a standard one in my garage, I didn't buy the pack so it must stay like that till you buy it

The main differences seem to come from the texture work. The standard looks very pixelated, whereas the premium is crisp and clear. I reckon if PD gave the standards some higher resolution textures, you wouldn't be able to tell these two apart unless you looked very closely.

Oh well, nice but not worth the money for a car I'm probably not going to use.

I can understand charging a few bucks to add brand new cars, but to charge to pretty up content that already exists seems..... wrong.

Amazing the difference. Elimination of the blurry textures. One big difference that is appreciated is the angling of the intake. But there are some curious changes, such as the little square on top of the cockpit in the standard version, but gone in the premium (and a good thing, that square does not belong there). I am a little disappointed that PD changed the rims and wheels altogether.

Here's a pic of the real one, for reference. ;) (I had forgotten that Silk Cut is a tobacco company, heheheh)

Why don't they just get rid of the old one and give the Jag for free?

The black wheels are correct.

The black wheels are right for the Le Mans entry

Edit: ^ what Jason said

Well, this settles it then. No rush for me to get the new DLC.

The gold wheels fit better, though. They go really well with the yellow stripe.

They were correct for Le Mans in 88 and the IMSA Castrol cars. Yet they raced the gold ones (which they do look better on the Silk Cut car) at other races. Most likely an aero/stability thing.

Oooooooh.
Shiny. :D

You could have taken your notebook off the dashboard of the premium one before you took the photos :p

I don't get why only this car was upgraded of all of the other really awesome standard cars. Seems a completely random choice, I would have thought the Toyota GT1 or one of the Nissans would have been upgraded before this one.

Random? It won at Le Mans, unlike the GT-One or the Nissans.

Does the premium one sound better than the standard? It seemed to, but I forgot how the standard one sounds like. :D

They also had this version xjr-9 LM

DO WANT! :D
Anyways, hopefully PD does this to other standards, but separately and they should be free too.

Okay so did the Audi R8 and Peugeot 905, my point is there's plenty of other cars just as worthy, I don't understand why just this one. I'm not complaining, I think its an awesome car, just a bit confused.

Maybe because out of all of the classic prototypes, the Jaguar was the only one available to them?

👍👍👍

I forgot about. Just because they're PD, doesn't mean they can get any car they want. It really is that simple.

Kinda pissed me off that we already had this car in the game as a standard, and now we had to pay good money to be able to use it as a premium. It should of came as a premium to begin with.

Anyone else feel this is wrong and shady practice?, or is it just me?.
