Okay i'm gonna keep this farely short and sweet... WHAT ABOUT MUSCLE CARS!!!!:banghead: ... i mean that what made racing popular... Cuda's GTO's Trans-am's i mean wouldn't it me cool to see a 57 chevy with a 454 bareling down the strip on Gran Turismo.. i mean they could have atleast put up the newer Trans-am's when they had GT2 with the GTX and road runner which they for some reason just called muscle car i was like hell yeah.. i thought it was gonna be a whole new game after that then they got rid of it all for GT3 and only had the gt40 and shelby cobra.. they even got rid of that 67 427 corvette i mean come on that was in the first one.. how crewl is that.. all i'm saying is if you guys put older musle cars and a few classics in there that could be really souped up with bigger cams and stuff you'd have a whole new section of buyers and player.. i know atleast 100 ppl that i've talked to in the lil town i live in that would buy a ps2 and the game if they had some decent muscle in there.. although i have not seen the car list for the new Gran Tursmo 4 but i really hope the get more interesting cars in there and not just rice burners.:irked:

I'm guessing you haven't read the latest information on GT4. I have read some previews, and seen screenshots, and it looks like there will be muscle cars in GT4(which I am happy about). Here are the muscle cars that will be in GT4:

Pontiac GTO
Chevrolet Camaro '69
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Chevrolet Chevelle
Shelby Cobra

There could be more, but these are the ones I know about.

yeah I can't wait to drive a GTO and a Cuda in GT4, that's going to be sweet. I hope they also put the Charger in GT4 as well.:)

yeah man... atleast i have some ppl with the same ideas as me on here... i just think that if my dads 77 tran-am can beat a souped toyota supra... gee what could one of those do in GT4 lol.. i mean really 60's and 70's muscle cars are race cars too and they deserve some credit in these modern racing games!!!:D

don't get me wrong..I LOVE Japanese and German, etc sports cars, but I also love classic muscle cars. I hope they have Drag racing events and stuff in GT4 too. It'd be pretty sweet to wheelie a Chevelle or something off the line hehe.

OMFG!!!!! i just saw those screens for GT4 and Holy S*** hemi cuda 440 with a 6 pack.. then you have the camero with the stupidly rare 302 in it a the chevelle with a 454 and a 64/65 GTO come on i'm in heaven.:D :D :D :D

hey guys check back here in about three days. i know one of the developers at PD and i e-mailed about a possable drag racing track. and he said he would check and see if there will be anything like that in GT4:lol:

I wish they would put a Trans Am in there, either one of the older ones, or the last model built, 2002 WS6, pumps out 325 horses stock, same engine as a corvette :D

WOW I can't believe what i'm reading.. i never would have thought there would be people that cared as much as i do about seeing more muscle on Gran Turismo... by the way.. i personaly think that if they go TA i think it should be either a 69 or a 71-73 Firebird Trans-am with the 455 rocket in it pumping about 400 horses stock but a crap load of torque too... the 71-73 is acctually one of my dream cars and my dad has a sweet 77ta black 400 big block with a standard hurst tranny in it its an amazing car i tell you.:D

yeah! i love the 1969 GTO Judge thats like my number two

My top ten favorite cars:trouble:

... naturally none would be totally stock hehe can't leave cars like these alone

1. 1957 Chevy with a 502 kieth black hemi and super charger saphire metallic blue with a white to silver to black flame job a nice exhaust out the side with big chrome tips, a set of cragar ss mags, and just a nice stance with the back up a little.

2. 1969 GTO Judge 455 h/o

3. 1971-73 and 1977 trans-ams

4. 1969 oldsmobile 442

5. 1970 buick GSX

6. 1971 monte carlo

7. 1969 Camero rs/ss

8. 1967 Shelby GT500 (note: NOT BECAUSE OF GONE IN 60 SECONDS)

9. 1968 Mustang Fastback

10. My 1984 monte carlo.. only i wish it could have a 400 smallblock a new paint job and to have my ss monte rims on it.. i like em white mmmhmm not to bad.. i like the stock car look of them.

i love all muscle cars i want all of them

my dad imported (to australia) a 1969 GTO the judge 455HO ram air and we did some mods to it............man did that car fly.........i love big blocks with a passion

ive driven 450+hp 4 and 6 cylinder turbos and they went very good but ya cant beat a 450+hp big block with all that torque

currently i own V8's and turbos, im not one of these people who hate V8's or turbos etc i love the cars for what they are:)

yeah i live in canada and i like preludes and supras.. and you can't forget the ferrari's and mclaren's for there great hanling but when it comes to cruisin and draging you can't beat the sound and speed of a big block.. its kinda funny i tottaly grew up on car i love'em so much that my friends get so mad at me sometimes lol.. my friends tell me that i'm an amazing driver, i can beat any of my friends on a cross town race.. that we do once in a while... we took a couple 76 mustangs(cuz really there not that great) modified them to a chev 350s and did up the suspension a bit and wet on a 5 hour dirt race from one town to another where i live.. hehe i won.. by a long shot... i love driving and everything about it.. but don't get me wrong i'm not stupid i only do stuff like when i know i'm farely safe and i am NOT endangering somebody elses life.. for instance i built full roll cages, took the interior out and basically turned the inside into a race car.. i bought racing seats and harnesses for the stangs... still have them.. and there are only a few minor dents on the cars... like lil rocks. i'm very carefule with my cars :)

lol
me and my mates do fun project cars like that all the time

Well I'll be 🤬 , I knew there was a alot of us old motorheads out there who love the whole concept of gran turismo but cant get enough enjoyment out of the collection of cars in the GT series. I've been keeping my mouth shut for a while in these forums because you cant talk about old muscle cars and classics to all those other guys, they just dont know what your talkin about. When I first saw the screenshots of some of the muscle cars that are going to be in GT4, I nearly 🤬 my pants i was so happy. Just the thought of blowin the doors of a rice burner with a 454 chevelle drives me crazy. And It's about time they threw the goat in gran turismo.
after all GTO stands for Gran Turismo Omolengoto. I just wish they would have put a 67 GTO in there too for my sake at least, I've got one sittin in my garage right now. Any how, everybody just keep up the the talkin and mabey PD will eventually make a game specifically for us guys. And give Blue Pheniox a hand for startin this thread.👍 👍

well lol i originally wrote this long email thanking you for what you originally said there BIGBEN but i hit the back button by accident and when i went forward my long speech was gone.. so your pretty lucky for that lol jk... okay but basically.. you look at Europe and the cars they have great grans wonderfull... and then all the lil rice burners that are getting popular cuz of the fast and the furious.. yeah built japan and stuff... now i live in canada and i want to see something from here... like the chevelle and the gto... you probably wouldn't believe me when i say this but i am only 18 and all of my friends are in to those tiny lil imports.. rock on to that.. but say your going about 150 mph down a highway.. and you crash which car can keep you safer?.. not to menchon that muscle cars from the 60s and 70s are just way cooler lol anyways this is gettin long.. i'm out.. thanks again guys.. keep them replys comin.:p

haha you like vanashing point i take it... i love that movie.. its kinda sad that i know about it but anyways rock and roll man!

71-73 Firebird Trans-am with the 455 rocket in it pumping about 400 horses stock but a crap load of torque too... the 71-73 is acctually one of my dream cars and my dad has a sweet 77ta black 400 big block with a standard hurst tranny in it its an amazing car i tell you.:D [/B]

Yeah man my buddy has a 73 T/A with a 455 in his garage. Him and his dad totally stripped it down and are redoing and restoring the whole thing, my god the engine is HUGE, its bigger than most pick up truck engines. They bought a bodykit for it and they're gonne repaint it, complete with the bird on the hood. First thing we're gonna do is take it out to Racecity speedway and kill every car we race, show all these import biased racers where its REALLY at, I got pics if you wanna see the car

okay.. heres something i gotta know.. i figured out how to do a brake stand in the last couple gt's but the smoke didn't really drift it kinda just stayed at a certain amount.. now it not a big deal at all but are they change the way the smoke travels in the game?.. like even if you skid aroud a corner or peel out off the line

All i know is that PD is going to be using a whole new race engine. I'm not sure if that involves the graphics or not even though they also said the graphics were greatly improved.
It would be nice to see a streem of smoke while your drifting instead of seperate poofs of it. As great as a SIMULATION game it is, I still cant beleive you cant brake torque the cars. I hope PD puts this little feature in GT4, if not for leaving the line hard, at least to make it more realistic. 👍
