SPECIFIC RACE RULES- be sure to read everything!!

- The race will be done in endurance hall, Infineon Sports Car 2hr45 minutes - The race is a timed race of 2hr 45 minutes for LMP and 2 hrs for GT.

LMP drivers are to record their laps COMPLETED after you cross the Start/finish at the end of 1 hr, 2 hr and of course the final time and laps COMPLETED at the end of 2hr 45 minutes..

- GT drivers Record your lap# COMPLETED and time at the 30 minute, and 1hr 30 minute marks. Remember new rule is to record your COMPLETED laps not the lap counter after you cross the SF

- You may practice in the actual race. But, you may only practice until you pit, whether that be for fuel or tires. If you pit and continue on you MUST count your time. You are NOT allowed to run the race twice.

- Record your fastest lap

- Record all your split times on the first lap. Also record your time at the end of lap 1

- Record the lap numbers you pit on and tire compound. EX R2/R2 or R3/R3

- Avoid unecessary contact with AI cars.

- SAVE YOUR RACE in case you forget to record a particular minute time etc or there are questions of cheating.

- recording all your pit stops etc will make for a great race report to be posted in the Race report forum!

- You may run the race now but keep the results private and send them to me via PM. Dont share race times with anyone.

- Send results in same form used in Race 1

- QUALIFYING ENDS December 4, 2005

- RACE REPORTS DUE December 5 2005

Have Fun 👍 :)

Just 1 hour and 30 minutes? In my opinion that's too short. I was more thinking about 2 hours.

Anyway, yeah, it's better to submit how many laps you have completed instead of saying in which lap you are. When I submitted my time I did both, just to make sure nothing would go wrong.

Anyway, I'll give it a try tomorrow.

IMO, I think the GT race should be 2:45 too. I don't see why not?

I'm glad I like Infenion a bit more than Laguna Seca. Also, I didn't do any tire testing at Laguna, so I didn't have a great tire or pit strategy.

Every GT race from now on will be 2 hours in length, including this one

Team Bentley / bhawk776 / Bentley Speed 8

T1) 15.797

T2) 47.079

Final Time: 1'10.566

I left about .400, maybe .500, on the track.

Where is everyone at?! Is anyone still running in this?! :(

I'm still here of course :)

Various problems have kept me from posting a Q time. I should have one up tommorow.

To me I think everyone is exhaused after Laguna.

Don't worry guys, I'm still here, though I haven't run a time yet. I think tommorow after my driving class would be a great time to give this a shot. Oh how I love my Zonda. :)

1st 30mins in the car at Sears Point...

T1: 15.327
T2: 46.662

Total Time: 1'10.500

i'd say that a 1'09.85x will get pole.. and will be my target for the week.

Yeah, I was kinda waiting until people started to post here :p Well, I give it a shot as well with the Toyota 7. I want a smaller qualifying gap than on Laguna Seca, although that will be difficult :p

Hey man, I'll be at every race here to get you back! Some times will be floating around soon from me 👍

Aye... we are!

EDIT - Wait a minute... I've just read the deadlines, my connection has been down recently, so I never saw this thread until now, and I personally didn't expect it to start until the Race One report came out :odd:...

Sorry, but there is no way on this earth that I can get both races done by then. In fact, I'd be lucky to get one done by then, it's my birthday on Friday 25th so getting two races done on that weekend is out of the question, just one would be very difficult. :boggled: I hate to mess you all around, but Earth could you please please please move the race report deadline back a week? :guilty: :guilty:

p.s.

I will provide replay if needed.

Nice times my guys - I've got a time in the GT-R LM, but I'm not certain of it and I can go faster anyway. I've got plenty of time tonight for qualification, so I'll post up as soon as possible 👍

bhawk, I expect to knock you off that spot by tonight :p

Putting this event on the leaderboard now :)

Well, after the Ford GT race in Laguna Seca I didn't touched my PS2 anymore, until today. I've tried Sears Point today and right now I'm still too far behind. I'm 2.1 seconds slower right now, which is not really acceptable if you look at the difference between me and DE at Laguna Seca. I have space for improvement though, so I'll definately try it again, but I'm not going to post the exact results right now.

Yeah, but look at the final finishing order :p you've earned license to take a little break! I can go faster than that... Maybe. I'd rather not try and get all frustrated with it, but if you beat me I'll be back out there!

I've found that Sears Point is a very linear circuit as far as times are concerned - unlike Laguna where there are some secrets to learn, at Sears you seem to just get gradually faster and faster! Practice makes perfect... Perfect makes pole... Pole makes five points :)

DE

lol, well, the gap is now smaller: it's not 2.1 anymore, but just 2.0 :p But if I don't bring the gap more down, I will be like 4 laps slower in the race :p I'm going to look at my splits and your splits and see where I lose it. (Are you sure you've added the weight again? :p ;))

Btw, the leaderboard still isn't correct. The 'laps completed' at Laguna Seca are all 1 too much. Earth wrote down the current lap of the racers, not the completed laps. This will be changed in this race though. Then Earth will write down the completed laps (which is better in my opinion).

ls2_297
which counts for **** if you cant run consistantly :sly:

All right, my best effort at qualifying so far:

T1: 15.679
T2: 47.485
SF: 1'12.117

Not good, but I'm not too concerned, since the car feels much more comfortable in race setup than qualifying.

BTW, almost done with the Laguna race report.

Yeah! :) Go Mulsanne, I want to read it! :) Done with the things at home? (You had to remove the kitchen or place a kitchen or something like that, right?)

I'll try it with the Ford GT again tonight. I must be faster than this

Edit: Yeah, I went faster: The gap is not 2.0 anymore, but 1.3 seconds. Still not enough, it can be improved

Sjenk, you're right about the leaderboard, sorry. I was fixated on having it like that, and it is now, but I'll change that. I think I'll change the numbers instead of the title, it'd make more sense.

I never took the ballast out :sly: I don't want to forget like I did in my first session at Laguna!

Mulsanne
BTW, almost done with the Laguna race report.
Can't wait for it :)

Uh oh... I see a big white American thing getting larger in my rearview mirror... Light The Afterburners

Well, it's now obvious that I like Laguna Seca more than Sears Point  Well, I'll give it another shot today, I want to be less than 1 second behind the 2 Nissan drivers. I haven't driven the Toyota 7 yet, so I must do that as well (why on earth did I wait one week? )

Well, I really like Infenion alot more the Laguna, for the fact that it's not so demanding. I'm currently all over the Skyline Squadron's times. I'll put up my current time when I get home from school. 👍

You're ahead of us? I'll have to knock a clean half-second off my time for that :p

Sjenk, are you going to post your actual time or not? I'd like to know!

NO NO NO, I'm all over the time, but I haven't beaten it yet. I plan on it though. :sly:

If ejr_1 is better than the Nissan drivers, I'll be in big trouble. I'm going to try it again now, I'll put the times here after that practice.

I'll be doing another round of qualifying tonight so either later on or tomorrow expect (hopefully a good one) a time.

cheers guys
👍 👍

Ok, I did an 1 hour run and although I don't have splits I now have a 1'18.513 as my fastest lap.

The reason I can't give splits is because I ran a dirty 1'18.504 before and I thought I would beat that on one hour. Well, now I'm going to do another run with the Ford GT, trying to be faster and after a break I will go for the 3rd time :) I just want to get closer... :p

Race deadline for this and only this race will be 3 weeks

every race from here on the deadline will be 2 weeks so be prepared
