Oh man, looks like a missed quite a bit this week, more traveling and sleeping in are my excuses!
I read the last few pages of this forum, there seems to be a gt300 race? I will likely sit this one out as I'm not even attending XFEL frequently enough

to gain a race position, as well as the skill level being quite higher then what I can manage. Also just discovered Red Bull Events... time to grind..
@r34love While I'm not among the greatest drivers..

I use L2 and R2 for braking and accelerating, being triggers they allow some level of control in the amount of input like a RL pedal.. The right stick is also good at variable inputs, however I find braking a bit troublesome, as my hands are not symmetrical on the controller.
However I use the right stick for gears, like a sequential box, stick down being shifting up a gear, and stick up for shifting down a gear.
I usually have L1 set as looking back and R1 as Nitrous Oxide, with X or O being handbrake. This setup is also quite nice for drifting! 👍 (L3 is horn, R3 is wipers..

)
I definitely feel you on the difference in skill levels.. Whether it be amount of time playing or the physics engine, I was a better driver in GT5, while Gt6 is the most played game on my PS3, the amount of time I play just doesn't compare, with RL and other games (getting back into PS2/4 and DS gaming).
However Gran Turismo gives me an outlet for cars and racing, something that is quite hard to achieve IRL due to high insurance and gas costs in Toronto/Ontario, Insurance would come to about $250 a month with gas at $5.30~ /US gallon ($1.40/L).
GT just satisfies a craving and addiction I think we all have, and I'm grateful that after GT5 I have friends to share it with online! 👍
