Might not make it this weekend either as it's the first race of the season for me and its Saturday and Sunday. But I'll see what I can do. I might only catch the first race though.

Sorry for not coming to practice. Went to go see Need for Speed in the movie theatre. How did it go? Also, which combo did you guys run tonight?
 
Accidentally did a 40 minute race. I got bored and left after. Got a fast lap in the 1:52's somehow. I loathe this track.
 
Which GT 300 seemed to be the fastest. I can't make the race but I'm curious. I'd like to run a few laps in it sometime this weekend and compare to the results from the race. See how I would've done.

Whichever you can drive the fastest. I was using the Garaiya, but the BRZ has about 3 more PP in the dealership. It has a lot more hp, so I'm guessing it would do best on the straights, but it seems to be heavier, which might mean more stability, but also means it probably won't corner as well. The rest are pretty balanced; it just depends on whether you like FR, MR, or 4WD the best. Euclid said that the RX7 was easy to drive, so it's probably the most balanced as an FR, while the Garaiya can be very twitchy and spin easily. I'm guessing the 4WD has the most understeer, so it'd be easier to be consistent once you get the cornering speeds down.

I was averaging 1:53's, while Euclid seemed to be getting low 1:55's or high 1:54's. Mic was also in the Garaiya and seemed to me getting mid-low 1:54's, but it gave him trouble some laps, so the race didn't go very well for him.

I'll test the other cars I own if someone opens a lobby, but I'll probably be spending the rest of the day testing for tonight's HST.
 
The BRZ is not very fast, top speed is a few mph lower than the others. I can do better lap times in the RX7.

Yeah... More weight would also mean less acceleration... I wonder if it was in a draft though?

I think I have driven them all. Didn't know about the Garaiya until the race. Here is my opinion. The Rx7 lays the power down with no surprises and is fast. The Garaiya I have is still not broke in but seems to be as fast or faster than the Rx7 based on what I saw at the race. The most stable and forgiving is the Impreza. You can clip a corner and not go spinning. I wanted the Brz to be better. It is faster than the Impreza but it can get as twitchy as a Chihuahua on espresso coming out of the corners. The Lexus didn't stand out to me at all. I might try giving it more time. Did I miss a car? Oh, I felt that the Garaiya needs warm tires.

I could tell you which is fastest, but then i'd have to kill you.



With tuning (particularly the transmission), i think the cars would be much more equal.

I agree. I ran about ten laps this morning with it and it does handle well. I could post almost the same lap time. within a half a second every time. It was like deja vu.
 
Do the races always have a night time component? I always practice in the virtual daylight.
