Anyone want to join the Nurb Time Trial tonight? I need to use my GT Vision Merc car. I didn't waste $2,000,000 on that beast for nothing! :crazy: I would have spent it on the DeltatWing for the Flex Series instead.

I'd like to join you guys for that, but cant until HST is over.
BTW, we may be short on drivers tonight, so if anyone wants to join us, just grab a British sports car on the list and tune it to 500pp. Starts 8:00 est. Big Willow.
 
Sorry I got caught up doing something earlier, so I'm opening up a room in a couple of minutes to run the TT.

Edit: nevermind. BigMoMo's got a room already opened.
 
I got disconnected lads. Anyway. I had an 8:15.xxx. can any of you (dolph or Euclid) check it out and tell me if it was clean? Thx.
 
Ran some testing today on the GT300's, all at night, offline (wasn't looking for time, just a comparison), all brakes at 5,5.

Fastest: RX-7
Sturdy, little sluggish feeling (comparatively) in the handling but quick and not as unforgiving as others.

~.25sec: Autobacs
Very quick, very pointed steering, and quite possibly faster than the RX-7 but extremely unforgiving if corners aren't perfect or you breath on the gas too quickly.

~.75sec: Impreza
Very sturdy, extremely forgiving 4WD, feels sluggish and I was surprised to see the time be not that far off the two faster. Possible choice simply because it won't end your night if you go off your line.

~2sec Lexus
Sturdy, felt similar to the RX-7 except just couldn't keep up.

~4.5sec BRZ
Not sure... Fell asleep while driving it... Just... So... Slow...

Disclaimer: these opinions and times (ish) are the sole opinion of Severn and do not represent what may actually be possible with these cars. Severn don't care. Severn go lose all money at casino now. :lol:

I ran some offline laps with the RX-7, Impreza, and Lexus. Severn's pretty much right on. I was actually having a better time in the Lexus, but it's just not fast enough at top speed, and a track like Daytona... you need that strait line speed.

Very interesting the contrasting opinions about these cars. I didn't think the BRZ was all that bad, but then I'm also easier on the gas exiting corners. I tend to wear out the fronts faster because I go in hard a lot of times.
Also the BRZ has 24 more hp. than the RX with oil change.
So how bad could it be really ?
 
in my testing the BRZ was second fastest. i think Severn got tired :lol:

it definitely "feels" slow though. but my lap times were right there.

I love the garaiya, but man are some of these MR cars tough to drive with a wheel in GT6.
(plus my throttle pedal has started sticking, so i'm sure that doesn't help :rolleyes:)

The BRZ has a lower top speed. Quick test, I was 1.2 seconds slower than the RX7.

Having raced at Daytona (managed 2:02 on a 85 hp motorcycle), horsepower is king. The BRZ does not act like it has that much hp on the banking.

Not sure about laps but euclid said they ran a 22 lap practice race and it was around 45 mins

Good luck to you euclid. I know your on the Div2 bubble. Race hard and smart. If you make the move to Div2 after tonight hopefully I'll be racing with ya again soon.

Thanks. I was looking around trying to find the right car. Saw the AsparaDrink in the Super GT list of the Recommended Cars. Didn't see a base model there, so I checked the Mazda dealership. Didn't see a base model there either. So after searching around, I finally found it in the RE Amemiya dealership. Didn't think about Amemiya being there and not Nissan. Felt like an idiot afterwards. :dunce: I still don't know why they don't have at least all the base models in the Recommended Cars section though. PD...

I just put GT300 in the search feature and it only gave me the base models. :lol:
 
My apologies for my comments I was out of my head that evening I don't remember most of that night no excuse for my behavior though. Very sorry to mic & Racing.
 
Gt300 base car with RH tires.

I am planning on hosting 3&A.

I do not know who is hosting the other rooms. Phish has been pretty busy lately, have not heard much from him.
 
No one is sure exactly how many laps are being run I guess. Or who is running D1 and/or D2. I just asked if micantony could host. If not, then I can host if needed, though I just hosted last night. And I believe, based on the PP, we are running racing hards.
