Negotiations have entered the final stage. Both drivers feel the owners need to dust off the cob-webs and open their wallets a little bit more. We are in fact talking seasoned racers.

Below are the top 10 in points (final standings from Season 8) with provisional entries into the Main Event. The below listed drivers (not listed in BOLD below) need to confirm their intent to race at Willow Springs - Big Willow by replying in this topic (no later than 8:00pm eastern on Race Day) with a simple post that they plan to race this week (Example - I plan to race this week). To anyone sitting on the fence about forming a team.
If you think I'm a bit slow now, you should have seen me before I was fortunate to team up with Parker and then Vovik. Having them as teammates taught me a lot and I'm still working on applying some of the stuff I learnt from them. You get to do one on one practice ("training") sessions and get their help. We also had a bunch of fun to boot.
Did you guys suddenly notice brnt getting quicker last month, hmmmm, and who was his teammate :D
So ya, if you get the chance to do this, go for it.
And to my former and future teammates, I did, and will, learn from you as well. It is also a great way to get to know the other drivers in the series.
Lets see a bunch of teams again, it adds to an already fun series!
 
The contract has been signed. The drivers and owners have come to a mutual agreement. Without any further fan fare, we are proud to introduce for season 9,

With the team name, Picture Perfect, it is obvious why only one picture would not be enough.
 
I don't think I want to saddle anyone with myself as teammate just yet.
I will compete as a privateer again and hopefully the performance will improve.

I'll retain the same colour and number. Won't race this week though, away for work.
 
Negotiations have been dragging on for some time. Zii's management has been insisting that Aero let Zii and his entourage fly with them to the race's. This meant acquiring a larger jet, but Aero is always looking for an excuse to upgrade, so a new plane was purchased. He will pick up Zii and company on the way and all are happy!

We can finally introduce for season 9:

Optional Team Championship - Season 9

Only two teams have signed up. You have until 9:00pm eastern tonightto get a team formed​
  • Open to Active Drivers that meet the below requirements.
  • No extra racing is required.
  • Teams consist of two drivers which divisional total must equal 5 or greater.
  • Example – D1 driver can team up with a D4 driver (1+4=5) or two D3 drivers on the same team (3+3=6).
  • Division assignments based on the following:
    • New Race Car Series Drivers
      • SNAIL Drivers - Based on Sunday SNAIL division assignments at the conclusion of the previous Wednesday Night Series Season.
      • Non SNAIL Drivers – New drivers will need to complete a full season (Minimum 5 Races) before they can compete in the optional Team Championship in order to be placed in the proper RCS Division assignment.
    • Existing Race Car Series Drivers
      • Each season, all drivers will be evaluated and placed in a RCS Division based in previous race data from within the RCS races ONLY.
  • Teams can’t change until after Wed Night Race Car Season is finished.
  • All teams must change team mates at the end of each season
  • Points awarded based on point system above.
  • Team Champions qualify for All Star Race.
  • Please paint both cars in the same team colors (body/wheel).

I’d like to welcome everyone to team “Scramble” who will be contesting the RCS season 9 team championship. Team Scramble consists of Wardenclyffe and the two Parcells.


Of course everyone is thinking “that teams too strong, it’s not really fair.” and to that we say “you’re right” which is why team Scramble is purposely handicapping themselves this season so as to not to run away with the championship while making others feel inferior…you’re not inferior, you just can’t race as well as Warden and Parcells, nothing to be ashamed of.


Negotiations started 2 weeks back when Warden had a prime list of 6 potential candidates to choose from and concluded about 8 seconds ago; When his top 5 choices all fell through he was left with the bottom of the barrel but Parcells is driving for free this season so beggars can’t be choosers as the saying goes.


Team Scramble colors will be announced when Warden shows up to tonight’s opening race which Parcells will not be in attendance. Parcells has a big bridge tournament this weekend so he has to get some practice in this evening if nothing else to ensure there are still 52 cards in a deck. Parcells lack of participation is how team Scramble is handicapping itself as he is expected to miss more than just the season opener.


Despite the lofty challenges facing team Scramble we are feeling confident a podium finish is within our grasp!


So good luck tonight fellas and team Scramble looks forward to presenting a full court press on April 29 when the entire team shows up at the sacred grounds of Deep Forest Raceway.

Actually, since you d5, you could team up with anyone. Even if norm was d1, you would still be eligible. Based on this, I'll approve you teaming up with @NORML_N for this season. Just let me know you team name.
