Optional Team Championship - Season 6
​
  • Open to Active Drivers that meet the below requirements.
  • No extra racing is required.
  • Teams consist of two drivers which divisional total must equal 6 or greater.
  • Example – D1 driver can team up with a D5 driver (1+5=6) or two D3 drivers on the same team (3+3=6).
  • Division assignments based on the following:
    • New Race Car Series Drivers
      • S.N.A.I.L. Drivers - Based on Sunday S.N.A.I.L. division assignments at the conclusion of the previous Wednesday Night Series Season.
      • Non S.N.A.I.L. Drivers – New drivers will need to complete a full season (Minimum 5 Races) before they can compete in the optional Team Championship in order to be placed in the proper RCS Division assignment.
    • Existing Race Car Series Drivers
      • Each season, all drivers will be evaluated and placed in a RCS Division based in previous race data from within the RCS races ONLY.
  • Teams can’t change until after Wed Night Race Car Season is finished.
  • All teams must change team mates at the end of each season
  • Points awarded based on point system above.
  • Team Champions qualify for All Star Race.
  • Please paint both cars in the same team colors (body/wheel).

Based on the success of the Wed Night Race Car Series, we are happy to announce the creation of the newest SNAIL Sanctioned Event

The SNAIL [Touring Car] Series (TCS) will compete on Tuesdays @ 9:00pm eastern and will feature the following.

Will use Wed Night as the base for this series with the following changes
  • Tuesday Nights
  • Touring Cars Only
  • Three 25 min races using a slightly modified BTCC format
    • Race 1 - Grid set based on 6 min qualifying session
    • Race 2 - Grid set based on results from race 1 (winner gets pole position)
    • Race 3 - Grid set based on inverted grid based on results from race 2
  • 5 min break between races
  • Fuel/Tire Ware set depending on Touring Car used
  • Tire Restrictions - Must use RH and RS
    • Must change Tire Compounds during race (no minimum laps)
    • Must make at least 1 pit stop requirement
    • Must start a least 1 race on both compounds (Example: Race 1-RH, Race 2-RS, Race 3-RS)
  • Will use the same schedule (4 weeks however no all star race)
  • Highest finisher in points each night that is not in the top 10 on Wed Night will get a locked in spot for Wed Night race (must be an active driver in the RCS and will not need to go through KOQ on Wed Night)
  • Season Champion gets to select 1 of the 4 tracks to be used in the next season (based on track list provided).
The following will not carry over to the SNAIL [Touring Car] Series (TCS)​
  • No season ending All Star Race
  • No Team Championship
We feel the above format for the SNAIL [Touring Car] Series will offer different challenges/rewards yet still have some of the similarities of the Wed RCS. Here are some key dates for the SNAIL [Touring Car] Series (TCS)
  • 12/21/14 - Series Announced
  • 12/21/14 - Accepting applications from Current RCS Active Drivers
  • 12/28/14 - Accepting applications from all other SNAIL Drivers
  • 1/3/15 - Accepting applications for all interested drivers
  • 1/5/15 - Mock 25min practice races at Tine Ring Motegi Est
  • 1/6/15 - Inaugural Races of Season 1

Just a reminder that if your an Active Driver in the Wed RCS and your interested in racing in the new Tuesday Touring Car Series, you have until end of today to sign up and retain your RCS number. Starting tomorrow, I open the series to all SNAIL drivers and they can pick any available number. We currently have 11 Drivers signed up. Here is the link to the new Tuesday Touring Car Series. The below listed drivers (not listed in BOLD below) need to confirm their intent to race in the All Star Race by replying in this topic (no later than 8:00pm eastern on TUESDAY 12/30/14 so we can ensure the alternates can participate) with a simple post that they plan to race this week (Example - I plan to race this week). @DesertPenguin09 and @Wardenclyffe are joining their efforts for Season 6 in the hopes of making it to the Top 3 teams or Top 10 in the driver championship. That in itself is a win for us. We didn't care much for fancy names but this will have to do. We are Black Tie Racing. Painted white to class up the place.

SSR Motorsports Endurance Team

I am looking for drivers that would like to drive as part of an endurance team. We run 6, 12, and 24 hour races with driver swaps. I need drivers that will be willing to drive a Deltawing or GT500. I'd love to be a driver in that. When I saw the main article I knew I'd like to take part in a 6 hour race but I'm not one to organize a team or anything. Just drive.

effective with tonight's race, all part time drivers that are eligible to race in the all star race will be added to the Alternates list and if there is room, can participate in the all star race. I'll update the list tonight when I get home

Well it was a learning experience for us, using skype etc doing that. Getting to look back thru it I now realize how all the settings etc need to be so that everyone will be able to see the both of us and hear the both of us next time we do that. You can hear me at the very end when we get feedback from the people watching and I opened up my mic in the other app we were using also. Next time should be much better.
