Taking my car to the dealership for service, free oil and filter change, top off all fluids, and a complete vehicle inspection, hope my cars in good shape, I mean it's new for cars sake lol. :gtpflag::)

Hi, I would like to join Snail to help me learn to be a better racer. I recently got a ps3 and bought GT6, and my dad, who is in Snail, lent me his old Driving Force Pro. I'm ok for being new, but I know I can do alot better, and hope this league will help me get there.

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

An observation after reviewing IRs this week is that there are a few people who need to read a specific part of the OLR. I'll quote it here.

K: If a driver wants to retire from a race, the driver concerned must not exit the race. The driver must find a position on the track where the driver will not endanger other drivers, park their car by coming to a complete stop and turning on the emergency brake and wait for the race to end. If you do not come to a full stop and turn on the brake your car may drive on by itself. Do not, under any circumstances, use the start button except as noted in section O. of the OLR.

It also wouldn't be a bad idea for everybody to go read this entire thread just as a refresher.

If this is about R3 R1 in the D7 race my wheel was a 14 year old driving force gt .The steering wheel broke and I had no control of anything , got out of my rocking chair and unplugged the plugged it back in to no avail . after unplugging the pedals and power I shook the wheel in anger .It came back to life only to stay in first gear and no steering so tried to find a spot out of everyone's way .I am sure it looked like a mess on replays and if I could ghost I would but had little to no control .I told every one in the room what had happened and I am sorry ,but had no control over it .

SO now the Great part of the story @vsfit had a G27 and knew how old my wheel was ,he did not know the problems I was having health and wheel .But shipped me his wheel at no charge so now I have his G27 .It has been said many times what A GREAT community of people we have here .But it Needs to be said again . THANK YOU FIT

THANK YOU SNAIL :cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

It was a reminder for everyone. No specific targets.

OHH, to have a large track like that near by. Jealous. The tracks around here are so small. I could see spending a tidy sum of money to enjoy racing on that track. Question, apx how fast are those karts going on the straights? Thanks for the video.

I didn't take that video, but I have raced a rental kart there. I really need to get back there once while it's still nice. I think they say their rentals can go 50, and that's damn fun. I'll get good helmet angle gopro the next time I go. I have video from my chest fromy last visit but visibility is limited.

@Rednose58 After testing tonight on a few tracks with @socalnatv, here's the last combo.

Caterham Seven Fireblade '02 on RH tires @ Red Bull Ring Short Track.

Lap Times 54 - 55 seconds

12 Laps

Enjoy
GAAAHHHH EWWW... I have driven the red bull ring short track and the last thing that I want is the caterham on it... Lol, but we'll see...

It's actually really fun. I just played gt for the first time in months and I got a 53.158, I think the lap time estimates might be a little high.
