It goes back down a bit from Turn 4-6. The overall track had something like only 120 feet of elevation change. One of the lowest I've ever seen. I think I still have a GT5 game save on my PS3. If I have the game data and don't have to do a ton of installs I may just load it up and drive the tracks again to give a better description.
I had around 8 mock canyon roads back on GT5...

Came up with something pretty similar to my favorite road, as well.

**** you, PD

Autocross from last weekend...

Normally I'm 6+ seconds from the leader. Somehow I put things together and was only 2.5 seconds behind. The Cayman GT4 (third place - he's only had the car for 3 weeks, and still on the OEM Street tires... and he's really, really good...) dusted me, but I was only a little over a second behind the 2013 GT-R.

I ended up 1st in class, 10th overall (50 drivers). Normally, I'd aim to finish above 25 in that crowd. Yesterday, I was ahead of several 2013-2015 911 Turbos, and a passel of Cayman S types, a primary instructor, the course designer, and many other really fast cars - they have power steering, and all the bells and whistles!

I think I have instructors who are teaching me to drive faster... I want to be a good student and learn MORE.

What was your standings in pax?

Great Job! And... now it's time to put her away for the school year.:( But just think, you're going to be sooo excited to get her back out on track next spring. Too fun!

Now's the time to hone in the setup and brag to all your friends about all the cool stuff you're doing to make it go faster, and maybe get them worrying in the off season! The mind games never stop...

I head to Pocono this weekend, and back to Summit Point next month. I ain't done yet! My biggest off-season work will be harnesses and HANS, and I am strongly considering adding a track only car, likely a 996 series of 911, with a partial or full roll cage. Figuring out where to store it... That is key.

Robbie, I don't make them worry yet, I still have more to learn.

What was your standings in pax?

What is PAX? I ended up 1st in class - P2. Not Showroom class, too many suspension mods.

If you're going with a harness; you'll need a roll bar at minimum, and then the car becomes less desirable as a street car and significantly more dangerous on the street as well. Factory seats/belts allow for your upper body to lay over sideways in a rollover when the roof/seatback collapses keeping your spine from being crushed. A harness and racing seat will keep you sat upright in a rollover, and with no roll protection to keep the roof from collapsing this can crush you. As such, most sanctioning bodies will not allow you run with a seat/harness without roll protection. As well you will need equal equipment for the passenger seat if you intend to have an instructor in the car at any point. I know I won't hop into a student's side seat without the same protection as the driver. Nobody likes to talk about this stuff, but it needs to be if you are considering modifying safety equipment.

As far as a dedicated track car, my only suggestion is something that you can afford to write off(or someone else to do so). Sure, it's not a common occurrence; but it will stick in the back of your mind and affect your driving. I know that I don't tend to drive at 10/10s in a car that either has stock safety equipment or it is something I can't afford to walk away from. Just suggestions for you to consider.

Lastly, PAX is a joke haha. Course dependency, weather dependency, etc. Don't get sucked into that fantasy.

Hey guys!!! First full day in Toronto and I really haven't seen any exotic cars yet except a whole lot of Beamers and Mercs...nothing special.
I'm a sucker for potato chips so when I spotted these I had to try them.

Verdict... I'd rather drink the stuff than eat it...

At least you won't have a problem with anyone trying to shove you in a locker. You'll hit your head, lol
Even the smallest kids can't fit in our lockers! Those unfortunate enough to get half lockers can barely fit their books in them!

The 'racing seats' that came with the car are a half step above standard seats, with cut-outs for harnesses. These are very temporary. I am planning on transplanting the harnesses, HANS, etc, into the next car. Your comments on seats seem 100% spot on with everything I have heard.

I just got home a few minutes ago from a tech inspection for this weekend and the guy was telling me the targa roll bar is very strong, but the anchor points for harnesses and length of harnesses gets challenging.

I love the way this car looks, and if it comes to adding the roll protection I want, it will likely be a level of cage protection I want in another car, not this one.

These two brands are the best potato chips on the face of the earth, in my opinion.

I'll have to send you a bag of Downey's chips. Fresh made kettle cooked chips made in a small factory in my home town of Waterford. They make the best chip I have ever had

Track boundaries have been posted for Trial Mountain Reverse and Red Bull Ring Short. Please take note of the boundaries at Trial Mountain as they differ from the forward version.

I want to post this reminder because to keep the S2000 in bounds on the uphill straight after the first chicane is tricky...

Here are the extracts:

The white line at the track edge is the track boundary unless there is a red/white striped rumble strip present or the section of track is listed here as an exception to this rule.
Exceptions by track:
Trial Mountain Circuit (Reverse) - The yellow striped areas are considered in bounds. The white line to the right of the pit straight can be ignored as a boundary. No other exceptions.

So, the white line on the left after the first chicane is the track boundary

Thought I share a racing video from last weekend. This is my rookie season in this car. Called a Wissota Street Stock. The cars that I was up front are national champions so it was really awesome to run up with the national champions considering myself a rookie in this class. (1/2 Mile dirt track oval) Banked like Bristol. This was the first race night we have had our car almost perfectly set up just a little tighter and it'll be dialed in! Enjoy the video. Thought I share

This verbiage is confusing to me. How did the white line to the right of pit straight being ignored become the white line on the left after the 1st chicane out of bounds?
I'm picturing the white line on the left that runs parallel to the high wall.(which is in bounds on the forward circuit )
