I have to say, seeing the custom liveries in the new GTSport Sunday league makes me envious.

Like these?

hey guys, sorry for the off topic post but I’ve been a little busy with the real racing gig, and have finally seen the hard work pay off! I finally got the track record in Formula Vee at my local racetrack yesterday! A record that had stood since 2015, and since 2010 before that one!

Nice...formula v has come a long way from the 70s .. I remember them having stock vw engines, ugly stock vw rims and tires. They basically never touched the brakes, just scrubbed speed off through the corners. They were lucky to hit 100 mph down the straight let alone average it.

Signing up is simple - hope to see some new and old faces on the boards. Cheers

Here's a link - report #180 at the bottom of the page
Knowing how detailed and picky you are with spelling ect, I thought I would bring this to your attention, like Colts did with me. It’s just “post #180”, “report” is a link to report a bad post.

Bull(COUGH)hit! :lol::lol:
Here’s the actual qualy results, good one Shaun!

:gtpflag: Results :gtpflag:

I think that was the first time I actually lost a position from laughing so hard, kudo's to Shaun L. for holding your composure at the end!
I was wrong saying that your last overall win was awhile ago, it was Feb 25 in the Lotus, ( I was a bit impaired last night). So congrats on your second ever overall, great job! Sgeti, whatever :D
Next week it's on to some more modern stuff.

Congrats to @SGETI, this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the Group A win
Congrats to @GTLehman, this weeks "Mr. Baawesome" for the Group B win

Man, a night to remember for sure! Some of Gutter's funniest stuff ever and I was trying my damndest not to hear it! At one point I had my teeth clenched so hard to not laugh, I thought I was going to pee out my eyeballs! It was like being a kid and having five big brothers tickle me and trying not to laugh!

I especially enjoyed the racing with Red and SGETI. They are the masters of close racing and gentlemens' sportsmanship. Congrats SGETI! Great overall racing as a group as well.

I sure feel like king for a day and it feels Baaaawesome! Four class pole positions (three overall!) and one overall win, one overall second. Listening to the roar of the 512 was orgasmic each and every shift. I had gotten the kinks worked out on it over a few day's worth of testing and had it sticking to the track, but didn't really get the 917 comfortable until yesterday's practice. Thanks @yogi bear for the combo - one that I've been hoping for for the longest time!

Here's my feed...

Grats gt. You drove well... that'll teach me for not practicing... well I did practice in the canam Porsche. I was down to 1:56 at road America. I figured I was probably gonna annialate everyone. Then felt guilty about being selfish and switched the combo at the last minute.

Sam posting the video above had me watching “Grand Prix” with James Garner again. It came out when I was a little kid so I never had a chance to see it at the theater, but the Blu-ray looks great. I think they might actually be Formula 3 cars posing as F1 for the film, but still cool to see them on the high banks at old Monza. Behind Steve McQueen’s “Le Mans” this is probably my second favorite fictional race movie followed by “Rush”. If you haven’t seen this movie, try to find time to give it a watch.

And here’s some great info about the behind the scenes making of the movie. Funny that the camera cars, a Shelby Cobra and a Ford GT40, were actually faster than the F1 cars they were filming!

I feel bad for those group B drivers on the edge of brilliance. Then they come to group A and lose all there points.

Yeah, it's a great film all around - Garner has always been a cool dude and did quite a bit of racing.
They actually did use Formula One cars. They had a camera car rigged up and many of the driver characters were outfitted to match the real drivers so that actual footage could be used for the film -Garner wears the helmet of Chris Amon. In the out of car scenes Graham Hill, Jim Clark, Bruce McLaren, Jack Brabham and other drivers make cameos or play small roles. It's a better film than Le Mans, I think.

Their. Lose their points.
Too bad you couldn't stick around Colts, I would have liked seeing you in my mirrors. You missed witnessing the Lehman Bawesome brilliance at it's finest. Of course there's always time I guess - 512Ms at high noon Juggy!

I made a mistake with my schedule. I will be out next week due to work, but I will be able to make the following week if there is room.
