You actually vote in report #2, you will see where to do that. It then goes to a form that only Mike and I see. We don’t want others to see who votes for what. So if you can edit your post and vote in report 2 that would be great, thanks.
G29 guys:
In your 'options', under 'pedals', what does it show? Mine altenates between 'N/A' and 'Logitec G29' - both greyed out. My 'Wheel' Shows G29, in color, just fine.
Tonight and Monday it seemed like I wasn't getting full throttle. The throttle burbles and the red line climbs then hesitates, or in fifth gear, stops - and other cars are walking by me on the straights. Even in a private race against AI the other cars are faster.
Note: I tried recalibrating and setting defaults, but haven't tried PCars 1 yet as a comparison.
Cheers for any input,
Shaun

My Pedal Type is greyed out with NA.
But my Calibrate Pedals is highlighted.
All works fine.
I was curious and tried in both USB ports, there was no difference.Yeah it should be recognized as one unit. There shouldn't be an option for pedals because obviously they are plugged into the wheel. Not sure why it would be hesitating or stumbling. I'd unplug and replug and make sure it's in USB1 on console

This post is for anyone who has, or is, contemplating cockpit view, or wants to improve on that view.
In PCars1 I switched back to roof view from cockpit, but it always bugged me because I wanted the realism of being in the cockpit. I decided to go back to cockpit when PC2 came out and I did that a few weeks ago. This video from SimRacing604 has made a huge difference. I'm also using Helmet cam with all the same settings, but I can now have the car tilt slightly when turning and I do a slight turn towards the apex as well, about 5%. As he states, one of the biggest complaints he here's is the disappearance of side mirrors and side view, but the driving realism of the car is so much improved. I'm still getting used to it, and I'm panning my side view a lot more, plus with the help of crew chief that I just added it should help when around traffic. It has made a difference in some of the cars that are very hard to see out of. I hope that after I get it just the way I want it, and get used to it some more, that it will eventually make me faster, but if it doesn't, oh well, so be it, but at least I'm back in the cockpit where it's closer to the real deal!
As Mike and I will both be in D2 this coming week, we will need someone to step up and host the D1 room, and also someone to take down the scores and send to me after the race, so please let us know, by posting here, if you can help. We will let the host know all the settings for the night in advance.
Sgeti, how's that one point feel?
Heads up guys, we are going to two rooms for this coming Monday, Nov 20th. Division 1 and Division 2.
One reason is we have had to turn away others two weeks in a row now. Another reason is it will make the whole process a lot easier as well and free up a bunch of my time on race night, especially between races.

*The format will change slightly as well. The 45 minutes before the race will now be qualifying, and Race 1 will be a standing start based on the qualy results. Race 2 & 3 will still be reverse order rolling starts (the same 10 min practice between races).

Divisions were created based on the ranking numbers as of this past week, with the same split number we used to divide group A & B previously.
Any new drivers or inactive drivers who want to race, need to notify us in this thread no later than Monday's at 6 pm est.
By far the hardest thing about having to try the divisions!Someone had mentioned it last week, but I'll say it again in my own words;
Part of me racing with you lot is because I enjoy racing with you guys, and love listening to the BS and SS (Sheep S**t) being thrown around the room. I think this week is going to be a lot quieter in both rooms, hopefully the same atmosphere and camaraderie translates in the split... no reason why it shouldn't cause you're all bitter old bast- I mean great guys![]()
Shoulda voted for the Beamer, we tried both last night and although the Merc is fun, the Beamer is even better......only me and Waffle voted for the better car. Oh well, you guys all suck...
The Beamer is newer, there fore takes less skill to drive...... bahahahahahaaa...bahahahahahaaaShoulda voted for the Beamer, we tried both last night and although the Merc is fun, the Beamer is even better......only me and Waffle voted for the better car. Oh well, you guys all suck...

Welcome to my world. From a guy that's at the bottom end. Keep consistent, and stay out of trouble, that's how I gain positions.I wanted to post about the 2 room decision a few days ago and never did but in the short time I've raced with you guys I as well have enjoyed the full room of casual crap talk and for the most part racing around someone for laps at a time. Also as a guy that's at the bottom end of D1 I can kiss any hope of a win goodbye lol. @The__Camel and @RobbiefromBC are just a couple that are completely out of my league. I understand the change but also am hoping the atmosphere stays somewhat similar..
I practiced a while last night in a public lobby. Seems less throttle until you get relatively straight and smooth application helps.Sorry for the double-post but this requires a separate discussion comment.
Has anybody been putting in some practise sessions with this car (Merc-Benz 190E 2.5-16 DTM) and track (Nurburgring GP)?
Is it only me or is this car slippery as hell in the sharp corners, of which there are many, on this track? I was lucky enough to get a tune from a good/renowned tuner but lord put a hand the car is still slippery as hell navigating the corners with a penchant for oversteer/tail happy regardless. The tuner shared the same feeling. I eventually consulted with the in-game's Race Engineer who suggested adjusting Suspension/ softening the Anti-Roll Bar. The tune I got had set Anti-Roll Bar at 30. I dropped it to 25 as suggested which may have helped a bit. Still slippy I next dropped to 20....eventually now at 10N/mm. Though issue with cornering. I know I'm not the best driver but Jeeezus Christ it's frustrating.
And it's not because of the season/weather being cold/rainy or tyres.
Season selected for Practice is "Summer". Time: "12:00". Forecast: "Clear".
Tyres are selected as "Slick"

Very slippy though...
