Haven't seen Ted 2 yet, but the 1st Ted just about made me piss myself from laughing. When Ted had the hookers over, and one of them took a dump on the living room floor, OMG! "I remember waking my wife up, and she was in the bedroom with the door closed.

Sorry Steve, I haven't had a chance to make a video of Dirt Rally yet. Next time I'm on the PS4 I'll hook you up.

Welcome to "The Lobanaro Lounge".
Project Cars 2 is now here, and after 27 weeks of racing in PCars1, it's time for the next chapter.
We are a group of like minded clean racers who just want a fun night of good race craft and good banter. We are not that serious and not a very politically correct room, so if you don't have a thick skin and can't handle some good natured ribbing, then this might not be the place for you! At the same time, we will not put up with anyone who disrespects another on track, or one who does not follow good race craft protocol. If you would like to join us, post in this thread and tag both myself, Aero, @aerolite and Mike, @Mike Lobban .

When:
  • Monday nights at 8 pm EDT.

What:

Each week is a clean slate, points will be awarded, but only for bragging rights over the next week.

Each week we will supply two cars for each group, of which you will vote on one for the following week. (report#2)

Once the vote deadline has past, we will announce the track within 24hrs.

Every once in a while we will run a different format just to change things up.

Tires should last but there will be some wear, it is up to you if you want to change them or not.

We will start exactly on time, if you can't make it on time please just wait and join for Race 2.

Active drivers have priority to get into the race, up until 8:30 pm on race night.
Any driver who has not raced in the last four events will be put in the Inactive Drivers List and will not get an invite on race night. You will need to let us know, preferably before the evening races starts, if you want to join and we will send you an invite. List is in Report #4.

@aerolite and @Mike Lobban I think I would enjoy some league racing. I am a clean racer, just getting into the 'sim' world and looking to really hone my skills. I hope there is still some room is this group to get in.

@SAMHAIN85 sorry so late responding but yes I've played all the GT games. I've always liked them as they were the closet things to actual sim racing...until PC came out 2 years ago. Once I got the feel of an actual sim I've been hooked since. I liked Asseto handling but their online system just sucked in my opinion. I had high hopes for GT Sport but once I played it I was very dissapointed. Dirt4 was dissapointing to me as well. I was hoping the online would be similar to Dirt2 and Dirt3 but it wasn't. Those games were very arcadish and I absolutely loved those games. If Dirt4 would have been what I expected I probably wouldn't be on PC2 very much at all. My true love is Rally and Rallycross. So I understand completely that one can have a first love in gaming. Im impressed with your racing speed and talent and I hated to see it go away and hated not to be able to race against it.

LOL that's funny as fuk. Didn't see the movie but now I want to.

4th episode is all about Joey Dunlop and the TT...this is awesome. 3rd episode was about Paris Dakar.
Once again we get 🤬 here in Canada due to licensing rights. That series is not available to us and not even my usual tricks like Hulu work anymore. They are not out there in the torrent world either.

Hello Uptown, welcome to the lounge. I will add you to the active drivers list and start you out in Group B. Please read the first few posts if you haven't already. Please send me and mike a FR as well so we can get an invite out to you on race night.
We are keeping to just the one room so it has to be a first come first served affair, but active drivers have preference over inactive up until 8:30. We now have more drivers on the active list than spots available on race night, but not everyone shows up each Monday so hopefully all can get in that want to.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Douglas County is where I live, but not the county I work for. DougCo is just south of my where my S.O. is and we often work together especially where the counties meet, such as the location where this shooting occurred. I got the alert page but wasn't called out because the suspect was already known to be down and neutralized. Now we'll help DougCo as much as we can. I love my job, but these are the times I won't miss once I retire. I'm sick of having to shroud my badge. It's not just a shroud - it means one of us is gone forever.

Its always stomach-wrenching to hear about these deaths. We're very glad it wasn't you Gutter, but its still horrific to hear. Keeping you all in my thoughts.

We watched 'Williams' last night - what a great film - as good as 'Senna'. Frank Williams, and family, are the very definition of British bloody-mindedness. Very touching at points especially near the end, and I have even a greater respect for Clair Williams now. Even though I've always been a fan of the team, I will never watch a Williams car leave the pits in the same way again - every time it will be for Frank.

Just a reminder for all those that disrespect what you guys have to deal with... I've said it before, if they don't want to stand behind you, feel free to stand in front of you.

I messed around with the VR in GTSport last night. @davidt33 , imagine if you had a GoPro attached to your forehead all day. The images would be quite shaky, wouldn't they? That's why the replays you see are so shaky. Everything we see, is moving with our head/eyes. So nothing is shaking to us, except our own head, which is what we're seeing at the time.

It's crazy how immersive it is. After just one night, then the past twenty minutes, I'm convinced it's not healthy... BUT I LOVE IT!!! The convertible MX-5 is the best. I keep trying to put my arm up on the windshield frame like I do when I'm driving my Jeep. IT'S THAT FRIGGIN' IMMERSIVE!!!! The Buttkicker definitely helps. There's no good, competitive racing, but just driving around is so cool.

Sign me up! (if room available) @aerolite @Mike Lobban
Welcome to the Lounge! We will start you off in Group B. And please send me and Mike a FR so we can get an invite out to you on race night.

Guy's, Mike and I will decide by the end of the day tomorrow what we are doing next week. It's been a nice break the last couple of weeks not having to come up with ways to keep you reprobates entertained! The question is, do we start 2018 by being a pair of BOB's, or go easy on you :D.

I vote continue to be bobs....run the old Aston Martin with bias ply tires. Bahahahahahhaaaaahaha!!

Is there really any question ? I would expect nothing short of blizzard setting while driving an open wheeler.
Or ....they could be super bobs and give us shifter karts in a blizzard.
On a different note... for some reason my iPad has not been notifying me of gt planet posts ( just the odd one, I sign in to view the post and find I have 14 alerts....
So I respond to the latest. ( not wanting to get fish slapped)
On the other hand....a bear getting hit with a fish is not necessarily a bad thing...

:gtpflag:Announcement :gtpflag:

We will be starting the New Year off in an old way!

Car choices for Monday Jan 8th have been posted in the reg spot, report#2. (vote deadline Fri noon)
We will be racing at Silverstone (GP, International and National)

For the new guys, @OneEyedLogo @Senna94f1 @Smoke20cango @uptown8217 Most weeks there are two cars posted for your group, of which you will vote for one. You will find this in Report #2. There will be a highlighted "Vote here", click on the one for your group and it will take you to the voting form.

Hmm... I wonder which car Group A will choose. Mary Ann or Ginger? (If you have to ask... shame on you.)

Put my vote in (Grp. B for you newbies). Have to say, it was a tough choice. After testing both cars at the Silverstone tracks, I'm glad I tested. One of the cars is a lot more fun there, in my opinion. I recommend you guys testing a little yourselves. Without testing, I probably would've chosen differently.

Unhealthy?
Oh, what I meant by unhealthy: It can't be healthy to confuse your brain like that, can it? I mean, the immersion just friggin' makes you forget you're playing a game. I put the MX-5 in reverse, looked over my shoulder, and tried to put my arm behind the passenger's seat. I almost threw my shoulder out of it's socket!

One more thing: I've been using this little website thingy to figure out my pit strategy tire pressures. It's a handy little converter/calculator.
