Another great night, in great cars and great laughs. I enjoyed some great racing all around - a few times I was glued to somebody's bumper and vice versa. We were all pretty tight with the Volkswagen in B class, and the A guys would zip by in a blur - kudos to everybody on some tight racing without a melee. Sorry Shaun Mc for getting sideways and sliding into you - thanks for waiting up even though you didn't need to - we had great racing going onthere. The 'new guys' Herpes, and Barry are a great addition - great to have you guys and glad to see Spiff and Dave making it pretty regularly again.

Congrats to Alex on a win - I didn't know you actually were into winning races brotha! Guess I should show up for PITs sometimes! :lol:
And congrats to Bear, who quietly won the B night!

Pop quiz.........how many times did Hermi wreck at Hooooooockenheim and then pass me? It was a lot. Wrong gearing will certainly ruin what coulda given me a better finish, not to mention the off track excursions. Usual night of mayhem.

You seem to be a little down on power compared to the guys in front of you, but you are definitely quicker through the turns.

I love these twitch feeds, it’s funny to listen to ourselves! I was laughing almost as hard watching race 3 now as I was last night. That was great to watch those four laps in your car Spiff when you were on my arse. And Sgetis comment after I was being all serious about defensive driving, too funny!

Lewis Hamilton fan or not, David Letterman has him on his second season of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” on Netflix. It’s good!

Down on HP for sure, those are the expensive ponies though... I’d like to come back and run with y’all again but it’s busy between work and racing two different cars this year...

Once the summer months are over I’ll really try to get my butt into my rig again!

That's awesome - thanks for sharing. We sure have missed you in the lounge, but at least you're still a respectable member of society away from our influence.

I love that downhill portion - it looks pretty intimidating, especially that first right-hander. What's involved for more ponies - upgraded heads and such?

No groups, we will all be racing together.
Your choice of WRX cars, race the same one all night, or a different one each race, your choice.

We're off for some different racing: We fly over to O'ahu tomorrow, then we will be crewing on our friend's Sydney 36 from Waikiki around the east side up to Kane'ohe. The Kane'ohe Yacht Club is running their three day 'Summer Series'. Four 4 mile races each day - sail all day, party all night! I will be working on the foredeck, which I always enjoy.
Have fun guys - don't let Alex win another one! :lol:

Man, that sounds awesome, would love to do that! I was checking out that Yacht club on google earth, looks amazing. Do the races stay in the bay or do you go out farther, through crashboat channel, lol.

ps: who do you fly with to go there, as we will be looking to fly from Lihui to Honolulu when we are there.

I’ve had a quick look at my riding gear since the accident, but today I pulled it all out of the bag for the first time. It’s pretty amazing how little damage was done, other than nurses cutting the pants off of me. It was pretty much all just crushing impact that did the damage to me. My helmet probably has the most scarring. Thought I’d put a couple of pics here, just in case any of you ride and just wear a pudding bowl lid or no helmet at all. I know a lot of the states have limited helmet laws with 3 not having any.
These gouges are about 1/16 deep, just imagine if that was your head, likely be dead.

It always baffles me that some choose not to wear a helmet on purpose. Common sense should be the law!!!

Good thing you don't have religious reasons for not wearing a helmet. I don't think a turban would have done a thing for protection.
