I'm not happy at all, PD is not listening to the comunity, the main things that sould be fixed are left behind, instead of adding some **bleep** features they should fix what is broken since the release.

I'm in rage mode against PD at this moment.

Really, the game already has over 1200 cars and 39 tracks. Is that seriously not enough content? If, on the other hand, by content, you mean additional career and seasonal event races, then I am totally with you. I would like to see them do the GT5 schedule of weekly seasonal events.
I bought game what markets it with widely more content than this is now having, plus only "extra" content what we have is game killer bugs, whole game starts to look gt5 patchwork, and they said at they had to do everything from scratch to get it fast, BS, just patching on GT5 core with ironwire solutions (again).

Tire bug after pitstop, tire flex/camber bug (New features, exclusively for GT6). Engine stages 1-3 showing crossed on settings sheet - just showing at this is made directly on GT5 core, where engine stages were used on thru own menus, and now they don't even know how to use those thru single menu.. aaah, this list would be too long..

Promises promises... pCARS and PS4 starts to sound really interesting thing.

I think this forum should have a picture of a bucket, slowly filling up with tears the more threads like these are posted and then filled with people being upset.

I'm not really disappointed at all, got a new car-ish fixed some of the info on the car setup page and added more options to the game, ontop of that proper notice about network maintance... Can't be bad, but time will tell come my race on Saturday!

PD, you actually surprised me. You fixed and added many useful things which I wouldn't have thought to ask for but like a lot. You fixed a few things I had concerns about. It's clear to me that you are trying to polish stuff up rather than simply give mundane things like cars, tracks, etc. I like it when developers have their own plan instead of wasting time trying to add things that appeal generically to short-sighted gamers: i.e. PD you are obviously running an endurance race instead of a three lap race where all the newbies crash in the first turn. Thank you PD. :D:tup:

the only one shortsighted here is you...
Adding things that were promised from the beginning (even printed on the box) is not wasting time. Open your eyes.
Do you think we paid $60 for a slightly better menu?

It should be a glass, and it should be half full.

So whats the story with the BMW are they now trolling us by adding cars then going "Just kidding you cant have it really"

You can get this car as a DLC when you join a competition in Asia. PD somehow ****ed up and made it purchaseable @ the car dealer.

Most complainers and whiners on GTP whose comments I have read blame PD over and over. PD is an employee of SONY. Sony's advertising department is responsible for advertising. Notice how Jordan met with an SCE employee and it was a SCE employee who told him things that didn't happen. When a PD employee has said something it is usually because an SCE employee has told him to do so or that he may. There are permissions involved. Anything Kaz has ever said is always wishful thinking. He's a dreaming artist. If one cannot see it in his eyes and how he talks, then that's the observer's short-sightedness. Kaz and PD do not have a contract with you the consumer. Sony holds that contract. PD does not have a board of lawyers: Sony does. It's obvious that Sony told PD to release GT6 before they were ready. But no one ever goes and blames Sony for false advertising. PD is not the publisher of their product. Sony is the publisher. PD is responsible for the artistic content in the product and have been doing a beautiful job (which short-sighted gamers will never be able to appreciate); Sony is responsible for the whole product.

For once in history the messenger is actually the owner and the one to blame, and no one shoots him even the slightest angry word.

Sony made and broke promises. PD is just trying to keep up with Sony's promises.

BTW the marketing people at Sony managed to put no false advertising on my country's AE packaging so I would be a hypocrite if I complained about false advertising on the product. I have not actually seen a picture of the packaging where false advertising exists. False advertising must be on the physical packaging; what the internet says does not count.

What the hell is this update ?
I have to download 100 MB of data just to know that they have added useless tuning options to the karts and GT6 can now be played with a 3-monitor display system? Mwa ha ha...
That will suit only 1% (or less) of GT6 players. How about giving something to the remaining 99%?

But in the meantime, still no engine sound improvements, still that 🤬 AI, still no new tracks or cars, no B-spec...
Well, in fact, nothing new.
Finally, the good thing with this update is that we will not receive another Nissan GT-R we already have in dozens of almost identical copies...

My GT6 disc is getting dust-covered on a shelf by now. I think I will wait till the next update before I consider whether I should dust it off or not...

Well, not satisfied at all, but I guess you had understood. :D

I'm actually surprised by the poll results so far, I thought more people would have voted yes. It really shows how unhappy the majority is with PD and GT6. It was what, a month since the last update and all we got was some minor touch-ups and nothing remotely close to all the promised features advertised since before launch, not to mention the track that was supposed to come last month, and camber is still broken! :banghead:

I don't care who made the promises, as long as they keep them. Anyways what they say on the official GT6 page is advertising (false so far) and a promise. I understand they say future updates, but future is a very generic term when we talk about the gaming world. I don't want to wait till 2015 for something I paid in 2013 especially not in the gaming world.

Before the update, clearing the 125 Shifter was like clearing the X2010 challenge back in GT5. But now it has helped to even the playing field against those cheating AI karts. I finally cleared the race and got the problem off my back.
Really?

The last race in the shifter kart championship was a bit harder than the others but that was just the track. Most of those races were easy and they were no where near as hard as the X1 challenge in GT5, not even close.

Most [if not all] of the problems people had with the karts is from over steering and getting to hard on the throttle while turning. Sure I spun the shifter kart out a few times but it only took two tries to gold the championship and they were a lot of fun on all but the last track. The X1 in GT5 on the other hand took a few hours to win.

BTW I used default TCS on the race cars myself, I just don't think there was any need for it on the Karts, Its not like they have 500+hp

-Finding the right car for a career race is easier now
-Karts aren't slide happy :censored:s now
-The off-track business is fixed

I'm fairly happy with the update, and I'm glad we've just finally gotten something after this period of darkness from PD.

Probably went down for refinement, since you know, many things were hated in GT5 so why not improve?

Exactly. Given three years to rework rendering and physics, let's do some math.

Do you know how many people it takes to do a new renderer on a triple A PS3 game? The answer is 1.

Know how many people it takes to redo the physics? Also 1 (a different person, of course)

Lets be generous and say they splurged and there was maybe 3 guys per task - 1 lead and 2 assistants.

...What have everyone else been improving upon over the last three years? Coders aren't modelling cars.

They've been working on GT7 of course, which makes sense given the time frame. But that doesn't excuse a sub par GT6.

March is the end of a fiscal quarter. Let's see what happens before the end of the month, because rumblings like ours does not bode well for stock price.

Well, for the odd/even argument, Gran Turismo 2 and 4 added much, much more content than 6.

Exactly

Yea, let them have their bucket. Their tears are just a drop in said "bucket" compared to the rivers of tears being cried by those who can't stand it that someone dares criticize their favorite little toy.

I'm not. I think most rational people are starting to put the pieces together and the picture is not pretty. You have all these advertised features that are not being implemented in a timely fashion. Combine that with a total lack of communication PLUS the February track that is still nowhere to be seen in mid March and it is completely reasonable for most people to be unhappy. The rabid fanboy will defend till the end. But the rational people with no allegiance can't help but be dissatisfied.

Yep, this is where my surprise was. I thought the people who defend PD would vote yes to try and keep the poll close, but it's pretty much a landslide.

Okay all you haters who are not happy with the karts getting TCS and SRF please knock it off. I bow to those who can clear without it but for God's sake spare a thought for those who can't!

The aids are there for a reason. And it's your choice to use them or not and not. If you hate it you can turn it off rather than b****ing on the guy and everyone else who are happy seeing the karts gets some level playing field against the cheating AI karts.

Thanks to the driving aids for the karts, I finally score my first rightful win after 30 games coming in second or third from last. TCS at 6 and SRF turned on while on GT Arena finally catches up with the first place bugger who looks like his kart is possessed by Ben Johnson.

If your referring to me in with your river, I'd like to know where the basis for that is... there is no outrage in my posts...

I finished the game and was happy with it and now participate in an online league. My only complaints are with the bugs that crash the game and that make online racing very difficult.

I'm glad to be able to drive karts in any track now... but Satisfaction?
Only when cars sound like cars and not like a drilling machine.

I am reminded of an old fable when I read the forums on this subject.

2 bulls on a hill looking over a field of cows. Young bull excitedly says, "Lets run down there and breed one those cows!" The old bull patiently turns to him and says, "Lets walk down and breed them all"...

It seems that so many want it all now, it's surprising to me that people rush to complete 100% of the game and then scream about insufficient updates...just a suggestion, maybe go back and perfect your driving...

I was hoping the new track would be included, but it should here eventually (me thinks).

I'm skeptical we'll get the hyped GPS course creator on GT6. Have a feeling it will wind up a GT7 feature but we'll see.

I don't need any new cars personally, there's still about 800 I need to try out anyway.

So I voted I'm disappointed in the latest update mainly because of the track, but still have faith I suppose.
