For the longest member at GTP that never had a Premium but still very active.
There's hunderds who are(including me)
Oct 27 2008 to now is not a long time. May 2001 is a long time.

Of course, he has Lifetime Premium+ so he doesn't really count.

Roo
Der Alta used to post riddles and give premium away to the winner, like this. (Which I got right, and then gave away as I was already a lifer.) He also asked people to nominate and vote for the member they felt deserved it most, so you could run a competition like that. It also encourages good posting habits from the non-Premos, and the reward goes to the best poster, not just purely on luck.

Nice one.

please, ill even post up a pic of me in a bra and a thong , just give me premium

You're bloody lucky i haven't been drinking (excessively) tonight!

Also, I've been active since three years or so, but I only have been active for real since six months.

Well load up on a few bottles of vodka and give us all premium!!!!

What about the non-premo with the most posts?

You can be active without posting, but it sure helps.

I can see where you are coming from but there are bound to be some members who have a high number of poor quality posts, these would 'steal' premo from more deserving members who have a low post count but they contribute the most to GTP(Quality not Quantity). Also, if this scheme was introduced I can imagine a lot of post whoring from new and possibly some long-term members would assume.

Well generally at GTP you don't last long enough to get 10,000+ posts if you make a high number of poor quality posts.

Wait, being banned means you're off GTP forever?

Not necessarily, but definitely a possibility.

Well, 911 lad is still banned and it's been weeks. Do they have any other penalties on GTP?

Getting banned means you cannot ever view GTPlanet under that username again. Under some circumstances the banned user can still re-join, with a new username, to prove they've changed though.

I know, I shouldn't have used poor quality posts really, I was not talking about high numbers of posts containing poor grammar, misleading information or other 'offences' like that. I was on about posts that do not give anything back or help GTP and its members.
Im not saying people who do this shouldn't be allowed 'free' premium and its privileges, after all as many people have already stated the money paid for this goes into the maintainence and development of GTPlanet, I just think people who have contributed more to the site should get it first.

Just one small question. That wrcsti that is banned is THE wrcsti that is an amazing GT4 driver??

That must suck, banned from GTP forever. Good thing i'm a clean, useful poster because i couldn't live not being a member on GTP.

Doesn't matter how good you are as a driver, the wrong things done on GTP can lead to severe butt kicking and all you have to do is read the banned user log to find out why he was banned.
And stidriver is the user you're thinking of that's great at GT4. ;)

Thank science he is not stidriver !!!
Really, it would suck to lose one of the most important GT4 drivers because of wrong things done.
By the way, when I saw a new post in the thread, I thought "Oh, no! Too late again! :(".

I mean like, not knowing anything new about GT from the first people PD will tell stuff to

PD will tell their stuff to other sites as well. Like IGN or 1up.

Wow, has it really been a year since i've done this?

I thought to myself last time that I should make a competition for premo, rather than next post wins; but I've relapsed into old Dunc and am willing to hand out one months PREMIUM to the next (non premium) poster.

I'm a wee bit tipsy and fancy a chuckle so if the post makes me laugh*, you get a YEAR PREMIUM.

*remember the AUP

Me!

A blonde asked someone what time it was, and they told her it was 4:45. The blonde, with a puzzled look on her face replied,
"You know, it's the weirdest thing, I have been asking that question all day, and each time I get a different answer."

Or confuse me when I go to quote your post and it's changed in the meantime!!.

*edit*
Sorry Legendary, you were too late. Now Seismica has 60 seconds to give me a really cheesy joke to turn a month into a year!
