I'm under the impression that you guys are pretty current. Australian members have beaten me to new hot wheels before.

Iam not sure, but it the lack of restocking the shelves, that's the issue. Also I have asked them to bring the box out at several stores and it seems they get pilfered before they hit the shelves, some one else knows what there looking for behind the scenes.

The other issue is we hardly get any "rare" releases or different series, matchbox is extremly limited, seems like they only bring out heavy equipment models now. Seen FA real riders or treasure hunts anything like that. As for the pic above with all the Hondas and that wicked r30 skyline. Never in a million years would we see that stuff unless ordered online.

Where do you go to find out what is getting released, it's not the hotwheels site is it? Cuz they have FA about whats coming out. I'd like to know if you don't mind so I can have a browse.

I think you just described the situation many members go through, in the U.S.
Ok I will get back to you tomorrow. Email me if you can - lamleygroup@gmail.com - and let me know if there are any other TLV's you are looking for, and how much you are willing to spend.
That CR-X is it. If you can get it for under $100, I'd go for that. Regardless, thanks so much for remembering me. :)👍

Thanks heaps mate.

@ a6m5 - rediculous isn't it? You see so many cars you want online and can't find them at a store. I went to a collectors store at the local flea market today and he has 4 of the rx4 released by tomica and wants $55 each for them, I tried to talk him down to $30 and wouldn't budge.

That reminds me, I was in Sydney for a car event a few weekends ago and some guy with a model stall had three Dream Tomica Batmobiles, price tag on them? $30 each. You can buy them online for like $10. I laughed.

Does your seller sell one once a month?[/URL] Anywho, sweeeet F40.
Oh I had looked at the completed listing so I could say "I noticed this item has been around for a month with no sale....... so I have an offer to make." :P

F40 is sweet indeed. It's the first time I assembled a Kyosho. I'll get pics up soon, but I'm busy the next few nights. :grumpy:

Negative. Next $60 I spend is on the $uper Datsun.

Poop. I'm going to have to pass on the whole deal then. Sorry dude.

Had a feeling this would happen, can't find that Datsun bluebird wagon anywhere confirming its release, getting worried now.
It's coming in the A case so we might have a better chance of finding it when the case comes out.

I now have one of my four dream cars: 1957 Bel-Air (I already had the Road Trippin' one, but this one is stock).

Cost me 5.27 USD, it's from some old detective TV show.

Edit: What the hell is that thing in third pic? There was no one standing there...

jtl46 & myself have a few R31s, but they are Tomicas & they may cost a few dollars more. :P On the Walmart F&F, I have the same Charger/Supra/R34 Daniel posted + the gray Chevelle & the new Challenger, but I think that's it. :grumpy:

@Spacegoat I have to ask. What is that dog from?

Those prices must've been fairly consistent with the online pricing then. Either that or he wasn't at all motivated to sell. :D

👍 I haggle sometimes, but I'm never ever blunt with the sellers. My approach is always "I'd like to have it, but I can only spend *blah blah blah*". Also like you, when I actually covet the item, I'm very careful about the amount I offer. Lot of times, I have a number in my head, but meet in the middle even before the seller submit the counteroffer. Again, if I really want that particular listing.

As a seller, I get offers as well. I don't put much consideration to lowball offers(though I'm not gonna lie, I've had some success with my lowball offers in the past), and being blunt only counts against your chances. :P

I really look forward to it. Prease, at least couple of pics of that F40(F50, too).

@a6m5 good and bad news. I texted Jeff early this morning to hold the CRX, which he did. But now he can't find it. So I had to leave without it. He will dig it up when he puts everything back after the show and send it to me. The total will be less than $100, promise.

The show was fantastic, but that is to be expected. No need for me to cover it as there are plenty of websites that will. Instagram is flooded with posts as well. Mattel was giving away Datsun Wagons, yellow RX-7's, green 620's, and black 240Z's at the door, but only to kids. I loved it. It was great to see some folks annoyed they could not get one.

Oh yeah? Show me a Hot Wheels Fast & Furious R31 Skyline release.

:P

If there was, I'd be all over them, r31 is my favourite car of all time I own 2 of them, had three but came into a corner to quick and struck a tree.

@a6m5

It's hard to tell, because some stuff he sells so cheap, just the stuff iam after for wicked customs all have a heavy price tag.

There are ways around obtaining those JDM classic hot wheels at the show:

a6m5 approach - "Hey kid.... I'll give you three bucks for that 510 wagon."

Cano approach - "Hey kid.... Look! Flying elephant!" *snatches & run* I kid, Cano. Sorry. :P

John, thank you for helping me out on the CR-X. Thank Jeff for me, too. This car has been really hard to come by, but I don't have to tell you. :D I'll have the funds ready!
I'm partial to this casting, but I've never seen this one. Very cool Daniel. 👍

It's like he's reading your mind, or more likely, he has similar tastes as you.

Like yesterday when I was there I saw a real riders boulevard vw Beatle and he wanted $15 for it.Which concidering I could find one on eBay for like $5 but the postage is like $10 so he is on the ball.

Was what I said considered blunt? I couldn't think of another way to put it... guess I'm just too damn honest for my own good.

There will be several pics of most Kyoshos no doubt. 👍

I was starting to freak out. RLC Gulf Drag Bus. Remember them? I originally ordered them September of 2013.

They were finally supposed to ship out around 9/23(2014), so I checked the order status just now & it said "cancelled". I was bit startled to see it. I sent them a email asking for help. I go back to the site, I click on other orders I had on the page. It was still alive on a separate line. Except now it says backordered until 12/31. Oh, well. I guess my order's still alive. What's another three months at this point.

Maybe I misworded. I guess it does depend on one's perception. Telling them "I noticed it's been on sale for while....", then adding "you'll never sell it for that" I think definitely would make it blunt.

Good! 👍

I suppose so. It's just that the most commonly used method of haggling involves persuasion through guilt and pity, and growing up watching my mom do it all the time, I got beef with doing it myself.

I offer bulk discounts often times. It's not always 100% gain for me, but I understand people need to meet a margin. Other times, I make them a one-time offer, take it or leave it. I usually only do this when it comes to stuff I'm not desperately needing in anticipation of the seller refusing the offer.

Good! 👍

Oh wait, it doesn't have a livery. Never mind.

:P Okay I'll take multiple shots.... just for you!

It doesn't have livery? I don't get it!

I took some pics today. RLC Buick Grand National will be posted first, but I also have this coming up tonight:

I had the Matchbox Europa forever, but decided to crack it open for this occasion. MBX did helluva job on this thing. Kyosho didn't let me down either. 👍

Edit: OK, here's the Red Line Club Real Riders Buick Grand National

If I recall correctly, this thing was sellout. Since then, it's barely maintaining it's original value. Kind of strange for sellout model. Mattel's poor design could have contributed to this I suppose. See how odd that removable front end fit onto the car? It's cool removed, but does not look right attached to the car.

I ended up watching the greatest hits of Rick & Morty on youtube.

Only discovered that show a little while ago, so good. And pity about the removable front on the Buick, doesn't look right attached at all. Pity because it's a cool looking model. Digging that colour on the Matchbox Europa though, very nice. 👍
