But oh man, I would love to see Kyosho get another round of licensing for the US sports car for a third installment. Maybe then we'll get some other cool stuff like Corvette ZR1s, C7s, SRT Vipers, Henessey Venoms, Road Runners, '70 HEMI Challengers, AAR Cudas, '85 T/A Firebirds, '70 Camaros and IROCs too. Those are mainstream enough for Kyosho, no?

A cases are still hitting stores, new cases are every 3 weeks or so. Patience young padawan.

Thinking of getting that blue Challenger SRT8 on display for months...

And I hope there would be another batch. The Japanese love 'Murican muscle. I've seen a 1st-gen Mustang convertible on my way to the ramen museum in Yokohama, and a modifed C3 Corvette in Tokyo.

Edit: @Spacegoat Did you order this already? I wish I knew about it sooner. My October shipment is already in transit, so I can't combine it until November. I hope it'll still be there.

Best part: Car Cano despises in real life, created in casting he also despises in real life. Personally, I think the car looks just barely acceptable(though still kinda 'JDM' cool), but Cano-Controversy add it some street cred for me.

Not yet but I just added it to the watch list, that colour. 👍 It would go nicely with the two regular 86's I've got. And on my watch list, I had to delete this and this. Just noticed that are they both sold out, really disappointed about the Civilian bus especially. The Blue/White version is still available but it just doesn't look as good. Oh well.

@Spacegoat - Well, at least the Civilian & CR-X aren't too bad in the secondary market, if the craving get bad enough. Also, keep in mind that some of these older releases have come back on AmiAmi before.

Toyota 86, I actually sold mine for good money, so even if I was able to get the BRZ(also added to watch list), no matching pair for me.

P.S. Make sure you watch the funny video I just posted(funny vid thread). It's news bloopers, but man, I was not expecting the 4:35.

Yup. Just very very mainstream cars from back then. Based on the popular old cars they chose (Camaro, Mustang, Corvettes), it wouldn't surprise me if they brought in a '69 Daytona, '71 Charger, '80s Mustang Cobra, or a trans am Mustang and/or Cougar.


If they had to bring in modern American sport, I'd guess they'd be aiming at Shelby Series-1, '15 Mustang, '10 GT500 (Super Snake), '12 Mustang BOSS Laguna Seca, '11 or '14 Camaro, Z06 Grand Sport (as a set filler), and/or Ford GT.

A possible secret/karuwaza candidate would be the Mustang RTR-X, since it's already black and there's only one colour version of the real thing in existence.

There's more than enough in there to make a full set of brand new castings, but knowing how Kyosho has the tendency to reuse older castings as fillers, the list can be split into two, forming a 4th installation of the USA Sports Car set if need be. They could add more recolours of the Viper ACR (in white, green and yellow), Cobra 427 (in gray/black stripe, yellow/black stripe/no stripe and white/blue stripe), as well as the Saleen S7 (in its famous metallic orange, a white and black).
