I don't think the 24/Seven's are going to sell. 4 people watching it, so it looks like my assumptions would be correct with too many people just hanging out to see what they sell for with no intention of bidding.

Nah, if I win, I'll take it. I'm not gonna lie though, I am starting to get a bit nervous.
Looks like you're out. :P

Edit: Damn, no sale on the 510 wagons. Disheartening since I paid way too much for the OH5 variation and now I can't even make that up with all four cars...

Edit 2:I may have screwed up. All my Malaysia shipping quotes couldn't bid because I always exclude south east Asia in my shipping details. Kind of stupid on my part. That may have cost me here. I'm going to change that on the relisted items (620 pickups didn't sell either).

I know you tire of me saying this, but starting the auctions at $.99 is the way to go. They ALWAYS end up higher than auctions that start at high prices. More action from the beginning, and it gets potential buyers literally invested in the auction. They see a low price, and they instantly think they have a shot at it. As they get more invested, the more they get passionate about acquiring the listing. Then they justify spending more. They get "emotional" about it. A high starting bid will mean a large number of potential buyers will instantly decide against bidding, and never think about it again.

I remember a $100 difference on the same item (a HW variation I can't remember) within the same week. One went for over $200 after a starting bid of $.99, the other started at $100 and ended at $110. There could have been other factors, but I really do believe starting bid was a major one.

My two cents.

And I'll be honest, I just don't want to take the chance that someone walks away with $100 worth of cars for $20. Then I would refuse to send them and it would get messy. I listed at what I wanted, and if they sold, great. If not, relist and try again.

Edit: There's one guy buying tons of listings. Good for me, easier to ship.

I never studied them closely, but I've seen plenty go both ways. It is true that auctions that go the highest, also by my observation, started with something like 99 cents starting bid.
The underrated model there is the grey 510 with chrome Trap5. Far more rare than the gold J5.
Yes. <<<Has no idea what you just said. lol
Looks like you're out. :P
There's always a next time..... oh, that was it? OK. :P

:0 I forgot. Well I wasn't home so I couldn't watch even if I wanted to, but I was curious if your listings would sell well. Will you tell us how much you pocketed in?

@R1600Turbo, As much as you value it, I don't think anyone's willing to look at any 24/Seven for more than $30. I know you have the Hwy 35 release, but still.

I'm playing a game with a relatively green bidder.

I was thinking of doing that a few days ago, but ended up not. I was going to ask you guys to help me jack up the bids on my past listings, but I did it on my own.

Sadly, the 15 R32 GT-Rs sold for $85. I pushed a committed buyer up to $125 for 11 Skylines.

My two cents.

I totally agree. The first thing most people do is change the search to lowest prices, so your listings get the most attention.

The only trouble is if (by chance at that time of the week in that time of the year) not many people are looking out for the items you're selling (this happens with sellers with very little ratings), only a small number of people bid and the auction probably ends at a low number. What should be done in that case, is to promote the listings at every popular high-traffic places of (relevant) interest. What you do by promoting people's listings probably contribute the most to public exposure, and I thank you for being so helpful with this.

I've been dropping big dollars on Japanese brand diecasts, and find I'm likely going to have to ditch some more of my hot wheels to scrounge up whatever money I can to recover from all the extra bank and forwarder fees. Will you be willing to promote my listings again in the future?

You guys just let me know when you are listing something. I am happy to promote them if it makes sense. And by making sense, they are models that will surely interest Lamley readers. I can usually find an angle.

Hah.....That's going to be hard now that I already sold a lot of my goodies last time. I'm definitely going to throw in 3 Fairlady JGTC Kyoshos though. I'll try not to degrade the Lamley's standards.

We're looking at around $700 so far. There's a whole batch of them coming up with hardly any watchers and no bids, doubt they will sell.

Might follow John's advice BUT list with a reserve. Although I think they charge extra fees for that.

@AOS- I won't sell all those cars for $30. I'd rather keep them and try again down the road. I don't feel like giving them away.

Way to find it, Jdawg. And it's a fantasy casting that's still cool. Nice save. :D:tup:

I can finally check off, "find a Super", from the collecting bucket list now, right? :D Coincidentally I came across that in the same Kmart I found my first regular TH a couple of years back. Funny how that worked out.
Finally found the Super Treasure Hunt Kool Kombi for a reasonable price last night. It was just under $24, shipped. Very happy. I wanted it very much. :D

Cool stuff. Super version of that looks so sweet. 👍 You don't want to swap Kombi's do you? (:

@Cano - Look at this 240ZG by Car Nel. With the Skylines, I gave them a generous benefit of doubt, but the pics in here...... disastrous.

For some reason, I thought you had found a $uper before. Sucks to be old.

I've had a crush on that one from the beginning. No no no no NO!

2015 Photo backdrop proposition #1

Acrylic floor, back white wall, long strip flash light in the back, with primary light source still atop.

2014 Marvel Heroes '34 Dodge Delivery. Wheels and fenders will be reserved.
The body's getting hosed for some custom. If any of y'all got ideas, throw 'em at me.

Nope, never. Got quite a shock when I first noticed it on the peg believe me.

Yeah, it's sweet for sure. Just looking at the prices people are asking for them on Ebay, $24 shipped sounds like a solid deal. 👍

I don't find it bad at all. The only problem is the stance of the car, but if you really wanted to, that can be solved. If I had any money now I'd actually be tempted.

EDIT: Maybe the roof top is a bit bulbous, but it's not disastrous.

NEVER! I'll also do one of those up :P

Black and red two tone, black on top red on bottom.

Red fenders? I'll think about it. I've got two, and I was thinking the possibly of a gangster cargo truck as the black fenders gave off such an impression. Don't know if the WWs will have to go, but I really did like the wheels on the black fender.

Nope, never. Got quite a shock when I first noticed it on the peg believe me.

Yeah you always have to shake your head to convince yourself you're not dreaming or imagining things. Had that happen when I found the '71 Demon and 2000GT.

la la la sifting through the bins..... "whoa- waitwaitwaitwait.

Did I just see treads on those wheels?"

*'71 Demon discovered*

edit: also, hue:

One of them Datsuwaguns is the grill mesh variation. Clueless seller is clueless.

They're all extremely tempting to keep, but I shouldn't. Variation's getting kept, for obvious reasons. One of each casting will be kept for future custom... maybe not the Civic.

So 10 listings didn't sell. Adjusted the price slightly on a few and changed to free shipping on a few others. Roughly $680 sold tonight (then minus whatever fees coming). Slightly disappointed, but I'll just keep relisting what I have left until I'm old and gray.

Going to bed now, getting up early for the Orion launch (again).

Got my package from Andy. Those CM Nissan rally cars are quite good. 👍 Very similar to TLV quality. Will have to see what else they offer.

Edit: I need this.

I keep forgetting to post these:

Matchbox Mercury Sable Stationwagon

Matchbox 50th Anniversary Volkswagen bus & bug

Hot Wheels RLC '55 Chevy Panels

Holiday Panel has snowmobile instead of a bike:

In the main pic, not horrid. Did you actually click on two others?

Does it look acceptable for $27 MSRP car? They barely look OK at $12 for me. The side view. :yuck:

I've found just two, so I know about the excitement. I don't recall by memory, but I can just see myself snatching my $uper off the peg at Cano-like speed & quickness.

I waited & waited for this one.

I still can't find 'em. :(
My haul for today. La Fasta TH and AE-86 $TH!! My first $TH.
Wow........ That took you like no time.......🤬:banghead::bowdown::grumpy::mad::eek::irked:

So much emotions, but mostly unhealthy envy. Seriously though, congrats! 👍
Would rather see the Tercel, but they don't have the Toyota license, I'm guessing.
I really dig the Tercel, too, but you are probably correct about the licensing. This RV though, I'm not gonna lie, it's frigging awesome.

I agree on the CM's. Overall, I think they are right there. For me, not always, but on many castings: TLV=CM's=Kyosho
What are you waiting for? Totally worth the price.

Matchbox Mercury Sable Stationwagon

YES. One of the best Matchbox casting ever. Got it in it's box, one of the few that have that honor.

In the main pic, not horrid. Did you actually click on two others?

Dear God wtf. I did click on the pics but I never looked at the price. I'll pass.

As I posted this, I was trying to figure out what exactly was going thru my mind when I ordered it. Maybe it was dirt cheap, I don't remember. It's a classic "it seemed like a good idea at the time...." for me.

Small parts on the car look like they are wrong scale, or they don't belong.
