Went to Target today...it's been almost a month since I went in there last and they had NOTHING new. And they're usually pretty quick to restock. Ugh. :indiff:

no, old fleamarket cars like the ones I posted in my latest "grab" post a few pages ago. There are real jewels to be found in the old used stuff. Ask DiabolicWyvenr, he is also a hardcore fleamarket aficionado and has found amazing stuff in such places.

Yes I am! Had to let my labtop dry out for 9 days after getting it wet, but its back in action. Combine that with my new camera arriving and I should have pics up next week of the few dozen cars I've bought in the interim. I'll be out of town for the next St Louis Collector show and the next weekend for the biggest flea market here :( but I'll be buying again the third full weekend in January.

Cano, how much do you think an average Leo should go for loose C7-8 condition? I'm willing to overspend on a few even though the condition isnt perfect solely on I might never see one again. The Lacoste Leo Hare Splitter this guy has HAS TO BE MINE!

I think you meant tire 'tread'? But regardless, really super guide, Cano. Thanks for helping us. 👍

Target sucks around where I live, right along with the other big local chain Fred Meyers. I might start targeting smaller drug stores. I've also had a lots of luck with Walmart, unfortunately on the other side of town.

Latest finds, this time from Target (where Hot Wheels are currently on sale for $1.83). Finally managed to get hold of some of the newer stuff - Big W still haven't updated from their stock from about 6 months ago.

So the XB Falcon is one of the supers... looks like Aussie scalpers will buy every one of these they find and then put on eBay for some stupendous price 👎 (I'd guess at least $100, seeming that the blue First Editions were selling on eBay for around $30). If anyone here manages to find two of these I know someone who would like to buy one... :sly:

People in australia are going to go nuts for that purple falcon. 20 packs have skyrocketed in sales here since they released the purple falcon (regular) in it which for now is only available in the 20 pack.

Glad to hear your computer is functioning bud. As for the Leo's, I don't know. I've never followed them since I have my own market-exclusives to worry about, but a guy once bought a Leo Fiat Ritmo in blisterpack in a club get-together for about 30 bucks. I'd expect a loose one on the internet to hover around that, maybe less so, depending on condition, altough you can never know. I've seen loose mexican cars in bad condition go really high in e-bay.

Blargh, yes. Damned english still catches me offguard from time to time.

yep it will be a superized version of this

Yes, that one. It will have redline Real Riders and tampos on the hood that the regular version will lack, too.

AOS-
I need to find that BTTF Delorean and Lambo Sedan. :grumpy:

There are a million of those BTTFs at my local walmart. I saw that Lambo estoque at target but I didnt buy it.

Grabbed a few '12 today

2012 HW Premiere BMW M3 GT2
2012 New Models Lamborghini Aventador
2012 Thrill Racers' Night Burner
and an '11 HW Premiere '70 Camaro Road Race

Saw three of the '12 Muscle Mania cars as well. Didnt know I needed to check whether they were supers or not. Saw a grey one, green one and brown one at quick glance, but couldnt recall vehicle type.

There are a sh## load of those BTTF deloreans on my side as well... and to imagine - at one point i was actually contemplating getting one online as I never thought we'd get any here in SA!
On that note - we did the hot wheel run on Saturday, and there were a few surprising outcomes: firstly my suspicion was true - all the stores ARE getting the same stock! I saw (across 4 different malls): almost 20 Kenmeri Skylines and Estoque Lambos, as well as almost 10 '59 Chevy Treasure Hunts! This is the same car that my buddy gripped last week and i was bumbed cos i wanted one as well - but on Saturday they were all over the place!!! I know you guys barely see treasure hunts - but this is rediculous!!! I mean - where is all this stock coming from? There were at least 15 different cars that we saw at every store that we went to... after a while, it started getting a bit nausiating and we decided to quit! I did, however, pick up a '59 Chevy Treasure Hunt, a '69 Camaro, a Fish'd and chip'd and a R32 Nissan Skyline - all from the 2011 range. We still are a while off from seeing any of the 2012 stuff here. Toy's R Us sidnt even have any of this stuff yet - we asked a guy and apparently they had received stock of hot wheels - but it should be on shelves this week sometime. Hopefully they have some new and different stuff! I still need 25 normal cars and 10 treasure hunts to complete the 2011 set. New pics of my current treasure hunts (5) and my 2011 HW Racing Set in my album...

:grumpy:I hate you...

Ugh, I think I hate you too. The 59 chevy is one of two 2011 THs I REALLY REALLY want, and it's been way scarce here.

Me want treasure hunt! :dopey: Walmart has a whole wall of hotwheels but no hunts ever. :banghead:

I feel your pain brother - i had to deal with walls of the same cars over and over again for long periods of time without haveing anything new! And to be honest - Wallmart owns the store where i got the TH from, I've actually gotten 3 from there so far. The store is called Game, and Wallmart aquired the entire Massmart group which Game is part of, earlier this year. Long story short - Wallmart is in charge of what comes to the store in SA, so they could easily send the same to the States!

Bro, you should have been there with me on Saturday then.... I saw so many of them, it wasnt funny anymore!!! I'd opt to get you one - but the costs of sending it from SA to you - you're better off just getting it online yourself! What's the other TH you're after?

I have the Police one in both schemes, but I've never seen this rally looking one. Just standard Matchbox, right? I'm gonna keep my eyes open for that one.

I looked around a bit at this one store tonight, on the way home. All I got was Tail Dragger(sorry no pic). I've passed on it a hundred times, but every time I liked the purple & the flame scheme. :dopey:

P.S. Saw more 370(red) & BTTF DeLorean!

That one appears to be a Hot Wheels Speed Machines if I'm not mistaken. I have one in opposite colors but same pattern.

I looked at it again closely, and I think you are right. I thought casting looked identical(not counting police light cutout), but I just noticed one has mirrors, other one doesn't.

P.S. For the extra money, I'm gonna pass. :p

Yeah, it'll eventually fall in my hands. All of them do, even the freaking Avanti is coming my way in two weeks.

the other one I wanted off this year's lineup was the 240Z, of which I have about three now.

Three words: Search Safeway More!

Alas, me; The T-Hunt Troll:D
All of these were found in Safeway's HW boxes, but they never seem to have any Super TH w/ the RealRider wheels...

Perhaps the Z is more common? The two Zs I had found were within a week of each other, and in the same building:odd:

Same with me..

Going to have to check there, T-Hunts for heaven-sakes!

What the heck.... I guess. But I never shop there. Pricing is just unreal. Hot Wheels probably go for three, four dollars. :dopey:

🤬! THOSE 240Zs
Hate is a strong word..... but oh, so appropriate! :p

Edit: Rather have the Olds. 👍

Well, the Avanti was also one of the more popular models on this side - I think I saw about 4 of them in one outing! As for the 240Z, unfortunately thats something I have not seen... would be nice to get one though! Well, I guess you win some, you lose some! I have a pic of my 2011 treasure hunts in my album - check it out if you get a chance.
