I can give you a suggestion, but you probably wouldn't enjoy it. :P That car has been hit with a ugly stick. More than once.

Thanks for the suggestion... :P I know it's probably viewed as ugly and personally it is a bit. But I've always had an attraction towards funky Japanese cars. I remember when I first saw pictures of it (also posted it in the cars you just found out about forum) I thought it was ugly, but it's growing on me. Was hoping more of a value suggestion. Still don't know the best value of what it would be. :irked:

A small personal update: I will be heading to New York this weekend for my brother's graduation. So...I may look through the stores in his area to see if they have anything good. Is that weird that I'm considering buying the Honda Insight matchbox car? :scared: It's probably the only 2011 MB left on the pegs in my area...so it kind of interests me because of that.

I actually don't think Insight is weird. In fact, if they ever made the first gen Insight, that might be even neater. :dopey: I actually have bought the Prius for my nephew while back, I think that was Matchbox as well.

As far as the value of whatever that's called, I'd be surprised if it was worth any more than couple of bucks. But ultimately, if it's something you appreciate, I personally would just bid whatever I consider the car is worth to me. Of course, the availability comes into play. If this was one of a kind, and rarely show up on eBay, I'd probably bid high. If it's a run of the mill, I'd bid low, and I can just try again on another upcoming auction if I lose.

I suppose the WiLL Cypha isn't worth about $3... I'm not that obsessed with it. But it's just so funky and different that I'm tempted...TEMPTED! :irked: I can't decide!

I do have to agree about rather having a 1st gen Insight. The reason I'm looking into it is because it's the only "normal" matchbox car I've seen on pegs in quite a while.

What are people's opinions on Choro Q models? Curious about those as well... Another temptation. :ouch:
Mmm Ferrari :D

Free shipping for these interest me, however I don't know their worth.

Just opened the Ground FX, didn't even know it was something that could be opened. I wish I had more models like this... Only other opening car I have is the VW New Beetle Cup.

I have a few 80's Choros, but of course not the japanese versions, the Penny Racers. In fact the wheels on my Datsun 510 are off one of those.

They look very interesting. I'm suppose they're pullback toys? How much do they actually cost? Sorry I keep asking these questions about foreign diecast/toy cars, I'm just really interested in them, mainly due to Hot Wheels/Matchbox is slacking a bit for me at the moment... :scared:

They came out when I was in grade school I think, mid to late 80's? I took picture of the one's I have just now. Supra has flip out T-Top! :

Of the eBay link, I really like that NSX. And yes, they are just pull-back toys. In Japan, you put a 10 yen coin on the back bracket, make it wheelie, or spin around.

While going through the loose hot wheels for the Choro Q, I found this:

I know you guys are sick of it, but I forgot I had one. I was thinking about buying it online.

I think I will be bidding on it. Though I don't have a PayPal account, I have a friend who's willing to do the bidding and then I'll repay him in cash. Sounds like a good pile for about $3. :P Probably more worth it than the Toyota WiLL Cypha Tomica model. Hope he doesn't become annoyed with me constantly asking to buy toy cars. :scared:

I may need a new pair of paints after looking through all of this. :nervous:

The thing that really bothers me now is the dollar-to-peso exchange rate. Highest in the year and no sings of it dropping down. I'll have to limit myself to local finds now.

Really starting to hate the HWC.com forums. Apparently I'm not allowed to have a link to my hotwheels list in my signature there, especially when it contains a hyperlinked image. So I make a suggestion about making the rule more clear for people by putting it in the same area as where you edit your signature, and they're getting but hurt over that.

They're too uptight over there. Really annoying.

Tell me about it; I've blown over $550 in less than a year and unsure if I should even be proud of that.

Well you're about to blow another ~$20. :P (package going out in an hour)

GTPlanet has spoiled you guys. Don't venture too far, 'kay? :sly:

Not sure what their problem is, they just don't like linking to outside sites for some reason.

This thread is bad for your wallet.

Its a combination of gtp and eBay. I'm about to drop $100+ on a collection of vintage real riders. :( Rubber tires have some magical power that lures money from my wallet!

I can recall spending $100/month before having a mortgage on these little pieces of metal and plastic...erm I mean art!

EDIT: The cards are bad and the blisters look ragged. reconsidering a bid as the roofs could have rub wear from the horrid packaging

I'd say on average I spend around $50 a month on cars, maybe less. Depends on what's new and what I must absolutely have. Been buying a few MX-5 Miata's off eBay right now which, with shipping is around $4-5 a piece. Goal is to purchase all of the different variations...

I do have the blue/green combo X-Treme Speeds MX-5. ;P And I believe there's a 1999 white and black Miata at the flea market that hasn't sold for quite a while... Want me to send them your way?

I'm getting the white/black one + Orange sugar rush series release + metallic purple mainline release + another from someone off HWC.com for $15 shipped. All mint on mint cards. :D

Then I just bought the very first release (Red) off eBay. :)

good luck on that venture. So many multi pack exclusives and play set cars then many mainline and series variations. Have you looked for the ZAMAC mx-5 yet? If not and you're looking to have them all, that one will be tough. So too
will the toys r us exclusive cars...you'll probably have to find the gift set to pull out the miatas!

Edit: just remembered the Getty promo, but those are easily found.
