That is some 🤬 up logistics.

I just opened the AmiAmi package:

Typical....

Meh.....

These guys were a surprise!

Nicest Choro-Q's I've ever bought!

Edit: TLV GT-R is amazing. Standard Tomica Land Cruiser is money. I did take a pic of the red Datsun, and surprisingly, it's really nice!

It is coming at you as fast as it can...... at 1/64 speed. :p

I'd like to think that it's coming faster than 1/64th speed.
Bro, mine is in the country.... sitting still.... for like a week now...

I have no tracking on mine. No idea where it is currently. But it can't be too far away can it, right? :/

Yeeeeess, the wrong Datsun truck (Kidding, I'm sure it's awesome :p). The Lancia and Fiat Choro Q's do look rather nice, I like their blister cards too. Curses to you Shinji. 👍

All these curses better not connect. If they do, I'll come smack you guys.

GT-R is extremely hard car to photograph for me. Andy may wanna just close his eyes.

Pictures don't do it justice. Tomica Limited Vintage, bravo. 👍

Maybe you are finally coming around. :p

I also have one more coming? Alfa Giulia in red. She's gonna be a beaut!

Great, great job on the pictures with Datsun truck a6. And despite all the grief I've given you about ordering the wrong truck, it looks incredible. (TLV sure nailed it with that casting, didn't they?) Same goes for the GT-R, love that colour too. 👍

Man, can't wait for my GT-R to arrive so I can finally see what all the fuss is about for myself  :O
Maybe you are finally coming around. :p

Maybe if they were a little bit cheaper, maybe.

Thank you! Well, neither of us weren't that excited about the red truck, but as soon as I had it in my hand, I was impressed with it. I still plan on getting the white/blue truck. Yes, very neat casting. 👍

I know it. Don't remind me.

Those are the best pics (imo) iv'e seen of it so far. 👍

Not overly keen on the metaflake/metalic finish, but i understand it must be hard to get metalic finishes that look to scale, when we're looking at models this small.

Those tiny Transformers are , but disappointed 'Jazz' is now a Hachi Roku. And 'Sunstreaker' is now an RX-7. (Should be Porsche and a Countach with twin induction cowls). :grumpy:

I'm still not pleased with them, but I do appreciate the compliment. 👍

Totally agree on both accounts. I wish TLV could come up with a better solution for the metalflake, though in person, to the naked eye, it's not as bad. As for the Transformers, Bumblebee/Camaro thing still annoys me. Hachiroku, I admit I like due to minor fanboyism. :p

I have just gray coming. I went with one of each.
Well, you know my thoughts on that one. :D:tup:
Rub it in, Jarrod. Rub it in. At least you didn't bring up the Bluebird this time. I think you may be maturing.

Just the thought of 'Bumblebee' being a Camaro, and that Michael Bay crapola series of films, makes me wanna Hulk-out and Smash things!!!

:grumpy:
You could have just posted "Michael Bay", and still gotten the point across.

What year was this Land Rover released. Funny thing I think it was from a cake at work today in our brake room. There were three other cars with it wrapped in a napkin. I "saved" it since it was the only real car.

So funny thing about the Snake Motors Crown. Akiyo at Japan Booster thought that buyers wouldn't be interested, but I told him I thought they would. I even used some quotes from a couple of you here to convince him. He saw the quotes, ordered a couple, and they sold out. Got an email from him today saying he is sending me one. He is convinced now...

Can we say that GTP was the main responsible for the quick sales of Japan Booster's TLV Snake Motors Crowns? We did convince (you were the one who shared those words, but we were the ones who wrote them) Akiyo-san to bite the bullet, and it seems it worked surprisingly well. I do remember seeing your post on Twitter, with a Ebay link to the car. When I saw it, only 2 examples were left for sale. I'd call that a sucess, if you ask me...

Shinji-san? I know this is a tired cliche by now, but curse you, damm you, hope you fall off a cliff, etc. Actually no, don't fall off a cliff, because that would mean you wouldn't be able to show us all your wacky hauls of beautiful cars.

And what beauty those two TLVs display... I don't know that much about Choro-Qs (except that they have one or two videogames that were sold in Europe, I think), but they are quite cute and nice-looking. I dig the Italian duo, there's something especial about a chibi Polizia Fiat 500. :O

But the TLVs steal the show. That Datsun looks so good, and yet it's so simple as a car. It's "just" an old Datsun pickup, who would've thought that it could so good as a scale model? The lack of extra details is probably what makes the car look so good, because Tomica can focus on the rest and work on the overall quality.

And the Nismo... Everything has been said about a car that single-handlely showed the world what Tomica can do when they want to recreate a modern car. Is it a bit too new to be called a tradional TLV? Perhaps, but do you want to argue with a car that looks the way it does? A car chock full of quality? And has more or less the same size of a HW car? Yes, it's just brilliant.

Also, can we have pictures of that Land Cruiser, please? :sly:

I'm sure it's less than 600 km from your location......somewhere between the coral and the giant clam. :p

Move your light source towards the back side of the car. Get less light on the side so you will increase the shadows, creating a stronger sense of form (i.e. it won't appear as flat). Example:

Well all things are moving forward. We just sold our house and will be moving to a new one next month. That means the TLV displays come down and I will set them up in the new place. Maybe I can use the time to photograph them all together on a table or something. Then each one individually. Nerdy proposition, but is sounds like nerderiffic fun...

Dude come over! Bring your repeats. You can sleep on the couch with my dogs, I'll treat you to some tacos from the guy around the corner, or some pozole 👍

Word of the week. Also congrats on things moving forward 👍

It doesn't even matter. Japan Booster is so popular(one of all-time notable sellers IMO), and while they are still fairly new-ish, they established very strong following on eBay in no time. They deserve to be credited for, maybe not "introducing" TLV to the rest of the world, but definitely for widely spreading & increasing the interest. @jtl46 - Do you know by any chance if most of their sale is to the American collectors? I kind of wonder about that. Their '$50+ order ship free" was genius. They also undercut and/or made available TLV cars many collectors had either no practical access to, or even seen before. Without Japan Booster & AmiAmi, I wouldn't be a TLV collector. OK, and probably John/Lamley Blog.

Choro-Qs are super old pull-back motor toys(I think been around since early~mid 80's?). I recently discovered that they not only still made them, but TOMYTEC(makers of TLVs) made these "Zero" edition, which is sort of "Limited Vintage" of the Choro-Q cars. Expensive, but as you can see, well detailed. :)

TLV's always been good, but IMO, they really stepped up their game last couple of years or so. Yes, it's especially visible in the "Neo" line.

Tomica Toyota Land Cruiser 70

It kinda pales in comparison to the TLV Datsun truck, but still very cool little truck for a mainline Tomica.

Where I screwed up was trying to put more light on those dark, black rims(from the front/LH side of the car).

Tacos.........(guess what I'm gonna have to have for late lunch, Cano). :D

Nerdy doesn't carry the same definition it once did. Now days, if you are not at least little bit nerdy, you are boring!

Guess Japan Booster was far popular before people actually started talking about it, eh? Perhaps Lamley just gave it... a Boost(er). Har har.

But yes, their sucess was only aided by the expousure that the Lamley blog gave the shop. Now it's the one-stop shop for all things TLV/Kyosho related. They offer good deals for good cars, what more can you ask? Also, didn't knew about that American bit, pretty impressive. And odd at the same time, I thought it would have more Japanese buyers than American ones...

Hmm, interesting. And neat, too. Guess even toys such as Choro-Q have these special lines, featuring cars with more quality. The more you know, I guess. Oh Tomica, never change. 👍

Never have truer words been spoken.

A simpler car, but a nice car nonetheless, the Land Cruiser. It's a pickup as well, which is a rare sight for me. It even has moving parts, which is a nice touch.

Found another brilliant Greenlight Mustang to add to the many others in my displays.

Ooh, elegant. Are you taking more pictures of that? I'm kinda curious about how it looks from different angles.

You can sleep with my dogs

Is that how you treat guests now?

Where I screwed up was trying to put more light on those dark, black rims(from the front/LH side of the car).

Oh I hate it when that happens! For times like that, I focus less on getting light on that, take it however way gets a good balance between highlights and shadows on the body, and then later use the Dodge tool in Photoshop.

Tacos.........(guess what I'm gonna have to have for late lunch, Cano). :D

Whatever the hell you call tacos, because I'm sure as hell you haven't had real tacos in your life.

Is that how you treat guests now?

What? They're soft and warm, they make you sleep sooooo well. I'll clean them up so they don't smell awful and will even brush them up a bit so he won't wake up with thousands of dog furs in his everywheres.

Tomica Toyota Land Cruiser 70

Aside from the plastic screen behind the rear window (looks a little cheap imo). Real neat little model. Easily one the better looking Tomica mainline's in recent times. 👍

Yeah Japan Booster is a savvy seller. When they first popped up on eBay, Akiyo and I started emailing back and forth and we created a partnership that has been more than beneficial for both of us. I don't know if the US has the most buyers, but he gets a ton of traffic through Lamley, and a lot comes from the US, but many other countries as well. The Free Shipping option essentially makes him a US seller, and that means, in a way, TLV doesn't need to look for a US-based seller. Plus I give him credit for partnering with Lamley. A lot of sellers aren't savvy enough to do that, and I am happy as dickens that he did.

I honestly would feature TLV every day if I could, but to keep the traffic coming, I entice with Hot Wheels, and Matchbox to a lesser extent. The Mattel brands keep the audience coming (and I still enjoy them quite a bit), and when they are there hopefully they gain an appreciation for the other brands.

And by the way, you will some other developments with Japan Booster in the coming weeks. You should like them...

First, the Greenlight 1956 Ford F-100 Firestone I uncarded today.

And finally, three cars from the lot I received from Andy. While it was initially just solely about the Kyosho Beads Kenmeri Skyline, certain CM's absolutely stole the show.

Kyosho Beads Nissan Skyline KPGC110 Racing

CM's Lancia Delta HF Integrale(always one of my faves)

Lastly, a gem, as far as I'm concerned: CM's Fiat 131 Abarth Rally

Got. Dam. Unbelievably impressive for a 1/64 scale. Thank you so much, @AOS-

I'm pretty sure he sells more to American collectors than domestic. If they sold more to the U.S. than rest of the world, that was something I just wondered. As for the partnership with the Lamley blog, it's been a win for not just the Japan Booster & Lamley, but for the collectors & readers as well. 👍

We don't have anything like that in the U.S. either. I agree with Niku on the door, with Jarrod on the screen/rack. Oh, god..... I just imagined a TLV version of such truck. :D
Whatever the hell you call tacos, because I'm sure as hell you haven't had real tacos in your life.
 Most mexican fast food is crap around here, so when you do find good ones, they are real treat. When I read your post, I was already done with their super delicious beef tacos, but I took a pic of the fish tacos for you.

Their rice, refried beans are perfect, but man.... their hot sauce. #1. :D

Although I rate this place("Muchas Gracias") #1 fast food Mexican food in the world, I have similar opinion as you on the Japanese food available in the U.S., so I can totally respect where you are coming from on this one.

I believe in variety. Outside real cheapos out there, I don't know of any brand I wouldn't want to see, or be informed about. 👍

A hint!!!!!!

Oh, god..... I just imagined a TLV version of such truck. :D

Mmmm, yes that would very nice indeed.

And screw you and everything you posted. That CM's Fiat 131 and especially the beads KPGC110. I've got to buy a new keyboard now, I've been drooling so much.
