A H case, yes.
So you scabbed it from work?

Sweet trio. Loving the RX-7 and LTD. 👍

Yeah I was interested as most *in pack* Matchbox FD RX7's go for a bit more than I paid for the lot. My favourite though, being a Ford man is the LTD. And to be honest, preference for Ford aside, of the three it probably is the best casting.

I know it's not the same as the LTD we got here, but I'm still pretty familiar with it. Just wish I had some loose crappy ones to fiddle with haha.

Sorry, the only super I didn't get from my store was the AE86. I can't find any supers at the other walmarts in my area.

Dude he's always been that guy as far as I can tell. I've been here a month and have seen at least 10 posts about digging through cases before they hit floor, and even at other stores.

Long live the RX-7! But those wheels..oh gosh.
I wasn't always "that guy" before I got my job. And I don't go around other stores harassing other employees like other guys do.

Buuuut now you are?

Maybe you didn't harass an employee, but you did go through a box regardless?

Here's what it's come to, buddy. Most of the folks here got beef with people getting early bird grabs on cases. To be completely honest, unless you've got contacts to notify you of shipment at other stores, I'd say you walked into your stores at a good time. Lucky you! Because you've made a track record of hand-picking through cases at your own store before they hit the pegs, we (as a whole) aren't very happy about your latest big grabs. Traditionally, being lucky enough to find one on the peg is what we think is worth celebrating. The experience of having no control of the inventory and trying your luck is where the rewarding feeling comes from in finding uncommon goods.

To put it in an analogy, it's like using this:

to replace this:

Again, this is under the presumption you are keeping up with stores. If it is indeed your patience that got you a new case the one day you walked in, lucky you.

About all of the above, I'd do it too. And with a vengeance.

Also, Jason, you and the entirety of your awesome package can go to hell. That Galaxie is yummy.

But he's an employee, going through boxes before they hit the floor, likely on the clock which is a no-no by Wal-Mart policy anyway. Any collectors that had any chance of finding a Super at that store in the past can kiss it goodbye. Completely unacceptable.

Yes, absolutely, and I agree. Yet I don't know if I'd be able to pass up on the chance, lol. At least for a car that I truly wanted... I'd never do it for that Passin' Gasser for example, it's horrible... maybe a Datsun, or the Boss, lol.

I've found two supers in the wild. I think the joy of finding a wild super would blow the finding one in a box only you and a handful of others have access to out of the water. I'll stick to the hunt, not the shooting fish in a barrel. The joy of this hobby comes from the hunt after all. At least for me.

I can't hit the like button enough for this. The only super I have, the AE86, I found at Target, and I was so ecstatic I thought my head was gonna blow up. I snapped it up and finished looking. Went to the register super tense, tottally expecting the dude to scan it and have it pop up at like 20 bucks. And it was awesome. I can't wait to find another.

While I agree about the hunt and such, I don't find supermarket cars to be thrilling pieces. Finding a $TH is suuuuper bleh. I's happened to me several times and it's like "oh look", and that's all. Finding a mint redline in a fleamarket for a buck? Buying a whole collection of vintage cars off the original owner's daughter? That is thrilling.

It definitely would be. And once I have the time, money and space, I'll probably try to find some awesome deals like this. In sure you've got some stories @Cano

Edit: so I was totally uninterested in this thing, but now....

Duuude, that was a good one. I REGRET NOTHING.
Saw a kid at a fleamarket once (he must have been 2 at most) who had a 1/43 Pink Pig. He was sucking on it. I was looking around for cheap cars to switcharoo when his parents weren't looking.

Nearest thing was a Minichamps 962 for £15. Had £3. End of story.

Somewhere now, there is a toddler *possibly* still chewing on Pink Pig.
