Thanks to heads up from Space Jarrod, this is what I committed to today:

That Fairlady's too good pass up. I've added that one to July order. Skyline, I already had the red one on preorder, but this Japanese Car Era one looks pretty neat. Super Silhouette, I've preferred the pop-up headlight style from the beginning, so it was a no-brainer. Corolla was tough. White looked decent, silver looked really cool, but I'm afraid it'll feature gigantic metal flakes in it again, so I passed for now. This Azuki red(or "brown" they say, whatevs) is a color I've wanted for while, so while I have no idea how this Corolla's different from the old release, I'll gladly go with this for the MSRP.

TLV pricing's getting little crazy though. Even with amiami's discounted price + cheap shipping, my December order of Super Silhouette + Japanese Car Era Skyline would total around $75(or more) shipped. FOR TWO 1/64 CARS!! It seems more like secondary market price gouging to me.

So glad you posted about that. I need those Corolla's and the prices were insane on Japan Booster. Glad I waited. Was stuck between the brown and beige, but went for the brown.

Edit:
A little disappointed in Greenlight's casting of the new Charger Hellcat. :(

  • They're making a Hellcat :D
  • It doesn't look good :(
On another note, that would look nice with this Hitch and Tow set:

Already got one of those on my desk at work. :D I'll probably get one to replace my Hot Wheels Hellcat to match the other Greenlights. Although, I wouldn't mind getting the facelifted Chrysler 300 that's coming out for Matchbox.

Mine came from their Black Friday sale, but I think it was still in $20~$30 range. Not sure what the differences are between the existing models & the new ones.

Don't know if I mentioned at the time when you first posted that but damn, the road racers Cuda. Nice.👍 Also this line from your post.
When you finally get the door open, it's hard to tell if the door opened(then comes loose) as intended, or you just broke the thing. To be honest, I'm still not 100% sure I damaged it or not.

Think I recall John mentioning on Lamley (might have read it there or somewhere else) how fragile those doors on the GL trailers are. Shame because it's a killer looking set.

I'm pretty sure that you did. Thanks! Couple of my favorites from GreenLight right there.

GreenLight quality's been going downhill by my observation, both in design & manufacturing. I regarded them pretty high at one time, but these days, I consider them second rate quality cars. When cars start arriving with marks, scuffs, or fingerprint inside the windshield, I can't take the manufacturer too seriously anymore. Also don't like how sloppy the detailing sometimes are. I complain about TLV prices all the time, but I have to give it to them, their assemblers + quality control seem to be skilled & the quality is consistent.

Edit: Case in point, Hellcat Charger Kevin just posted. Look at those headlight.... things. They look like Matchbox tampo on a $1 car. :yuck:

Tell me about it. The chipped AirFlyte trailer and my Breaking Bad RV wobbles, the front left wheel doesn't actually touch the ground. It's a shame their quality is very hit or miss because I really most of the stuff they produce. :indiff:

I didn't even notice them at first.

I think GreenLight is selling lot more than they can actually deliver. They really need to slow down with flashy new product developments, tie-in marketing & invest more on things like more advanced manufacturing techniques, toolings & better trained assemblers. I even bought one of their 1/18 Ford Focus from the Fast & the Furious 6? While the build quality is fine, casting itself & parts quality is embarrassing for how much they sell for. :indiff:

As a collector, I prefer they charge us more & deliver us cars with quality plastic/resin lenses. Cheap tampos & ugly painted lamps ruins more premium castings IMO. That's my personal opinion. If I'm spending $1~$3, that's a different story.

If HW or Matchbox come out with the proper 787b tampos in the mainlines, well stone me, I'd be going gaga over it.

I kinda want a million dollars.

Yeah I kinda too.

But I also kinda like to dream more realistically.

But to be even more realistic, I'll let the impulse fade first and then later decide if I still want to hop on board.

Other than the fact it's a Miata.

I'll be fair, I'm not crazy about Miatas. This Matchbox casting is however very well done, it's a limited edition car, and the livery bears resemblance to the 787B. That's all the reasons why I'd kinda want this.

Nani sore. I'd like to see Kyosho dish out a good Fairlady.

And not that sorry ass excuse of a 240Z they did in the Beads series.

But then again that R33 is looking rather tight.

Couple arrivals today. TLV Isuzu Gemini and TLV R34 Sedan.

Never been overly huge on the R33 but that red 400R looks sweet. The R35 GT3's too, wowzers.

That Skyline actually doesn't look too bad for it being a sedan. I like the Gemini a lot more though for some strange reason. :odd:

EDIT: Maybe it's the same kind of deal with me and the Alto. I'm scared now. :nervous:
