I wouldn't mind the Sil-Eighty, or R32, right by now. :D
Aaaah screw you. That Jada Initial D crap is now freaking scarce and the price makes you cry. I've always wanted them but they're absolutely out of reach.

Yeah, I recently got close to hundred bucks(eBay) for the 1/24 I also had. I think I got it for $5 on clearance. I can't remember how much I paid for the 64th scale.

Edit: I've always wished Johnny Lightning would do a Japanese car? I just realized that James Bond Toyota 2000GT is the only JL Japanese car I have! I love the 2000GT, but I wish it was the coupe.

But R1600 a little more, because he's got like six. :P

I think I will try hot wheel hunt this weekend. I need that 80's AE86, spare Boulevard Cuda(so I can take one out of package), and maybe if I get lucky, I'd like to find that white Furai.

I almost forgot. Boulevard Grand National, just because it's popular in this thread! Vintage Racing 510, too(also spare), but I'm not holding my breath. :indiff:

You're not going to find the Furai, nobody has found that one yet. Good luck on the 510, the only one I have seen is the one I bought.

Maybe I'll be the first! yeah right

So true on the 510. Twice, I've found the brand new Vintage Racing bin, and they are missing just the 510's. Not happy!

Edit: Just realized that Jun Imai was the designer on the Furai while looking up info on it. 👍

And my hachiroku by itself is snatching around $20. Not bad. My James Bond Toyota 2000 GT seems to be worth very little. Oh, well. I still like it a lot. :D

Uber-rage! I'm going hunting on Saturday, fingers crossed.

Don't want to sound like an "attention-whore," but I had asked a question that wasn't exactly answered. I know this happens quite often, but I'm hoping to know if it's worth spending the money or waiting...
Is there a possibility they might have more in stock? What do you guys have to say? <_<

Medigo - the Speed Machines are most always in stock at Toys "R" Us - though the different models come and go - I have around twenty. They usually cost Cdn $3.99, but sometimes go on sale for as cheap as $2.99. I don't see any investment value in them They are nicely detailed, nice wheels and tampos, and all round a step up in quality from the regular hotwheels - though IMO the "Garage" series is better quality - and more expensive. Speed Machines are great for playability, modding, photography, and display.
Here are some pics:

Car-less - you bastard. How could you have a userID like that? What a great collection - I have quite a few of yours - some of the older models - including some of the Majorettes. I also have the Ford "Gambler" Thunderbird. An actual car ran over it! - but it still is in good shape. Edit: Found a pic of it:

R16 - Those Jadas look hot. And very collectible. I have always liked Jada's quality - have many of them.

Dear ( whomever), could you come in here

"Yea, what's up mom"

What is this! (Points to small box filled with white powder)

"It's a science experiment. We're studying the half life of powered sugar and its not to be disturbed in any way. You'll notice a bit of it missing each day if you check but the teacher said that's to be expected. Oh, you know what? I'm not sure if having the powdered sugar exposed to the incandescence lights in my bedroom will hurt the experiment so I may need to re run it next month. Just remember not to open the box. We can't touch it or even smell it for fear of ruining the experiment."

Good one, 'wywern, As a6m5 says Medigo's parents should feel lucky. This was what was going on in my head when I read his post:

Act 1. Sc. I.

(Scene: A Living room. Very quiet.) Medigoflame’s Mom and Dad, at the bottom of the stairs, talk anxiously to each other in hushed tones.

Dad: (fuming)What is he hiding up there?
Mom: (fussing) I’m so worried.
They storm upstairs.
Dad: (kicking open Medigo’s door, roaring) You! You can’t fool us anymoar! We know what you’re upto!
Medigo, feverishly modding Ken Meri, swings around wildly, leaps into corner slobbering.
Mom: (rummaging under bedclothes) What is this? (She shrieks as Speed Machines bounce all over.)
Medigo: (covering in corner, arms raised defensively, clutching TH.) Hot wheels. Jus’ Hot wheels!
Mom: Hot?!
Dad: Hot! I knew it! (slaps TH out of Medigo’s paw.) Don’t touch that! It’s poison.
Mom: How much money are you throwing on this?
Medigo: (still cowering, sheepishly rolling eyes) Ab-about thirty-uhtwenty a mo-month.. . . .
Dad facepalms.
Mom starts to pull hair
Mom: Thirty bucks a month! MG! What has happened to you?!Why are you not normal? Why aren’t you bringing girls up here?
Dad: Whats with you? (he slaps air before Mediglo’s face) Drugs and booze no good? You could be spending thirty bucks a day, you fool!
Medigo: (defensively) I play with Majorettes, too!
Mom faints.
Dad goes to phone and calls Psychiatrist.

Act 1. Sc.II
(Living Room. All is quiet. Phone rings.)
Mom leaps up.
Dad grabs phone and answers: Hello? Yes, Doctor Freudenjungian.
Doctor in very gutteral voice: I’m afrayed yore shun is veri mard. Veri, veri mard. He tryed to stale a Siku orf my dask!
Dad: MG! (to Mom) He stole a Siku off the doctor’s desk.
Mom faints again.
Mediglo is grounded till he’s 35.

Hope you got a smile out of that, Medigoflame.:)

SVX - The Taurus is an MB. Good eye, man!

I recently sold my 1/18 Hachi, got £85 for it.. bought it for £25 two years prior (kinda wish i'd held on to it for a while longer), though i still have the 1/18 R32 (bought at the same time for the same price), very tempted to sell it.

[edit] both with figurines.

At first I was 0_o WT:censored::boggled:

Then I lol'ed:lol:.

Sounds almost like my parents would do if they found out my new cars I "smuggled" in.

I suppose the ones I saw were basically left overs... :/ From my memory, I only remember that they had two on the pegs. One of which is the Panoz GTR-1, worth buying?

And yes, I did get a laugh out of that photonrider.

Edit: Next person to post in here is the 5,000th post! :dopey:

^I can get those so easily.

Speed Machines don't really have collective value... they're just made a little nicer than regular casts.

edjt: Here's a shot of everything I bought yesterday, almost couldn't fit them all in the camera's view.

All that, plus a second BMW 2002 (2012), and a Matchbox Miura error.

The Panoz is usually the only one left on the pegs. No one buys them. I remember Cano saying once that that can make it more valuable later on, since most of the unsold stock would be sent to liquidators or destroyed. because so few people bought them, there would only be so few in circulation later on. Not that that applies to all models.

This is the opened one I have - just took these shots a few mins ago:

More later, alligators.. . .

Excluding the other cars I didn't uncard because they're going to be painted, this is everything I have as of right now. Probably lost like 3 or 4 cars... 2 have been recorded to date. I will find out at last how many cars went missing tomorrow when I take a mugshot of each and every one tomorrow and compare that folder with my current folder.

hw2012mar.jpg

Oh and the TH on the left isn't a Super actually; it doesn't have the rubber tires. The other 2 uncarded's are clearly errors as you can see..

While on the topic of errors, I found another today at Toys'R'Us. Went looking for cars to use for customs and came up with an ALW (all large wheel) '57 Chevy. Almost missed it too.

The original (top car) is supposed to have small wheels up front and large ones at the rear.

Pretty colors...

I bet it sucked putting them away. Speaking from experience. :P
