Hit up 7 total stores tonight, all after 11pm with 8 visits. Here's the play by play:
Store 1) When I got back to the toy section another collector was already there. He tells me they had wheeled out the new dump bin but when he asked about it, the manager came back and removed it from the sales floor because "there was no room". We also spotted individual boxes on a pallet and they refused to open those as well. I gave up and left.
Store 2) No new cars, no boxes.
Store 3) This was the same store I went through the BOD Friday morning. Arrived to find another "collector" going through the pegs. Everything looked old so I continued on down and checked the Matchbox. They got some new cars in which included a Porsche GT3 and an Evora. I grabbed the GT3 and started heading out. On the way out the other guy asked me if I was a collector. We chatted for a bit, he ended up getting a Malibu TH from the pegs. (I was just a few minutes late...grrr) Turns out he is in it for "his only income", so basically he's a scalper.

I bought the Porsche and left.
Store 4) Walking in I almost headed straight to the toy section but there was a girl walking up the center isle that I needed to get a second look at.

Good thing I followed her up the isle because that's where they put the new BOD.

Flipped through it briefly, looked like it had already been picked through so I headed over to toys. The pegs looked like a tornado hit them so I cleaned up some, glanced over a few other things and left empty handed.
Store 5) I swear this store either doesn't know they are almost out of Hotwheels, or something weird is going on. Pegs are almost empty and what is there is a year old. Seriously. Nobody was around that I could ask about cars, so I checked the Boulevard cars and grabbed a new VW Thing. Then glanced over the boxes on the pallets, paid for the VW and left.
Store 6) All the new cars looked to have been put out the day before. Nothing interesting for me so I left.
Store 7) Nothing new on the pegs. Asked the stocker if they got in a huge box and he said that he didn't know. Checked the Boulevard cars and found a new Trans Am, so paid for that and headed out.
At this point I could have gone back home, but decided to head back to Store #1 to try and reason with the manager a bit. I tried really hard to get them to bring the thing out, but his excuse was that he didn't have any "feature space" and that he needed to wait for something else to open up before he could bring it out. Tried again to get them to open the small boxes to no avail. So plan here is to check this store again tomorrow night, and Sunday night if the next visit fails.
Will post photos of the huge lot of 3 cars I brought home.
