That's why you tell them ahead of time you want the car in pristine condition so they won't do anything you wouldn't want happen.

You may try to argue otherwise, but to a cashier, the card is packaging a consumer is eventually going to remove so it really matters not if the card is in good condition.

I hate it when my customers tell me AFTER I put something in the current bag to put in it a separate one.

But , they don't even do that with other toys, its like buying a cereal box and the guy mashes it up? LIKE yeaa?
PS 99% of the cashiers put things like hot wheels or smaller items in different bags, I had a moron put a watermelon in with eggs once with my mom? aint that common sense?

That my problem with going to grocery stores having worked at one in the past. I know what to bag together and what not to bag together, so when I see someone just throwing things together I want to smack them on the back of the head.

This is also why I use the self checkouts. :sly:

Check grocery stores. The only problem with grocery stores is that the cars can literally be anywhere in the store. So you have to walk up and down almost every isle to find the cars.

I know what you mean bro about those types of stores. Even the grocery store that's closer to where I live doesn't get that much of HWs. But when they do, they are in different asiles. I think everyone there know I collect HWs already because I ask the stockers and managers constantly.

True, sometimes I request to them if they find a certain car(s) can they keep it good condition and/or store it away until I come back to pick it up. Sometimes they'll do the last option of storing whatever I'm looking for when the people there know me for awhile as a frequent customer in their store.

Love that ProRodz Z28, Ben! 👍 Do the doors open, too? I see the hood does.

Picked up the 100th Anniversary Indy 500 HW 5 Pack - sweet cars; anybody else got that?
Will put up some pics later.

So my Frank & Sons adventure on saturday was hit and miss. Picked up a first edition Ford Escort rally and Merc C Class, both hella cool looking and in package. I also picked up a loose Ferrari 356GTB/4S with RR tires thinking it was an old T-Hunt, but upon further researching, i was proven wrong. Those three were $5.

Another booth gave me a couple'a better finds. Decided to pick up the red Megane Trophy, a Black E92 GT2 (because the red wing on the black car looks SOOOOO much better than Purple on White), a Johnny Lightning Integra GS-R that says "Detailed Engine Bay" but has no opening hood (from what i can tell through the package), and finally a lime wheeled Miata, all still in packages, and all a dollar each! (well void the integra, that was three bucks)

Still didn't find any color/condition R34 and still didnt find any Mad Mangas (although Z4 GT2s were all over the place). Meh i thought... guess i'll leave...

Me and my wife got lost looking for the entrance to the 60 Westbound, and stumbled upon a Mattel-specializing toy store on Valley blvd! I was amazed! their pegs were stocked with just about every hot wheel type available! They even had the decade cars the walmart literally right next to my house never seems to stock! Although... no AE86. There was a bunch of 30's, 70's, 90's and 00's, which really pissed me off.

I decided to look through their basics, and i picked up the Yellow S2000 (FINALLY!), Pikes Peak Tacoma, Hot One's IMSA Monza, a green Brazilia and a fantasy car for my wife, and a holiday Focus RS (that was on clearance!). I know i picked up a few more, but i can't quite recall, i'll takes pics ASAP.

But that store was awesome! if i can remember correctly there's another one near Hot Wheels HQ in El Segundo, but i can't recall...

The prices were fair ($1.09 just like target), but it was super stocked (a lot of the stuff was kinda old, admittingly, found some 2010 new models). They were having a sale on fisher-price items that day; 25% off, which for legit name brand baby stuff is very good. That store is open 5 days a week and have pretty good weekly/daily deals. Just an FYI for anyone in the So-Cal or Los Angeles area

Where would I find Rue's pictures of the toy stores?

Dunno if he has them in his Flickr, you can go look at it but I warn you, it's enormous. It's also a pleasure to browse trough it thoguh, as he is an excelent photographer, but your best bet would be to send him a PM.

Cano - did you miss the huge Majorette Posts made from Nov '11 - January '12? Majorettes aplenty over here - ask and you shall receive; just PM when needed.

I'd only want a couple cars, off the top of my head the Megane Trophy and the SLR McLaren, I'll check out their website and let you know (:

Hey, I could be hitting near SoCal to head out to San Diego and maybe LA if my family does go that route. So can you tell me what the other street's name that runs into Valley Blvd? :D

PS IF any of you saw the "dog" posy Im sorrie about it , I can understand why you guys find it mest up... Oh well i guess if any one had the right to laugh it was me, since i was the only one who gave a dam about finding the dogs owner and calling the city to scoop his body of the side of the road!*
SO my sincere apologies! I love dogs!

I PMed Rue and he...didn't respond. :( Anyone else able to find those pictures?

Have patience, he's a busy, very busy guy. Trust me, I've known him for ten years. He'll get back to you.

Anyway. Yesterday out of the blue I started dusting off my displayed cars. Next thing you know, I have the 300+ cars down, cleaning them thoroughly and also cleaning the display.

I'm not done yet, but seeing as it won't be clean in another long time, I'll use this opportunity to grab some pics of the cars I have displayed for you all people. It may take a while as I'm allllllllmost halfway trough cleaning them, but I'll be posting them more or less soon.

I hate doing that.. =/

I'll be leaving tomorrow morning, but I'm sure I'll have time to check in. Turns out I'll be in HK for about three hours. To be honest, I doubt I'd be able to make it out of the airport to check out the stores... :indiff:

Sorry that I sounded a bit impatient. :ouch:

Stopped by that Wal-Mart tonight with the Manager that refused to put the new BOD out. Turn the corner to the toy area and see it sitting out in the middle of the main isle. Walked over and just took a quick glance at it. Got to a spot where I saw a red Ferrari and pulled it out to reveal a Ferrari 430 TH.

I immediately put it back and half ran out to the shopping carts to grab one so I could start going through it. Dug through the whole thing and found 7 of the Ferrari 430 treasure hunts and 1 DW-1. I left 3 of the TH's behind for the next guy (I'm not greedy) and took everything else. This mix of cars should have had the VW Beetle $uper in it, but I didn't find one. I'm pretty sure I was the first one to the bin because a lot of the cars were laying in there all grouped together like they are packed in a box.

The Black Torino on top has the base installed backwards.

A lot of collectors have been finding this TH without the side stripes. :odd:

I have a few more cars to share with you that arrived today that I got from ebay. One lot of cars was all Vipers and a guy who I brought one car off accidentally sent me a few extra cars.

The last two cars that I wasn’t meant to get a 2012 HW All Stars Megane Trophy and a Dale Jr. Collection Rockster, I dont know what Im going to do with the extra cars that I wasnt meant to get.

I have done the right thing and sent the seller an email asking him about the extra car to see what he wants to do with them. Im hoping he lets me keep them.
