I recently got 3 HWs - Camaro ZL1, Enzo from Nightburnerz 11 series and Continental Supersports. I also got my hands on Matchbox's Miura P 400 S.

That's not the same wheels... The one you have don't have cutouts and it's just a whole piece of plastic colored black to give off that impression.

Between the chrome spokes it's supposed to be open spaces, with no plastic.

No point in arguing, the *wheels* are not the same. Bring up two separate internet windows, put the photos side by side and look again. The car you have is the standard MC5 release. The car I am looking for, the one I posted a photo of, has OH5 wheels. Different.

Anyway, I stopped at a few Fry's grocery stores yesterday looking for said Ferrari since that seems to be where people are finding them with those wheels, and no luck yet. I did find:

- '65 Ranchero error (backwards windows)
- Shelby Cobra error (backwards in package)
- Circle Trucker in red (I love this casting)
- '67 Chevelle in HW Racing livery in Black

Friday morning a stop at Wal-Mart yielded new Matchbox cars:

- Land Rover Discovery
- Chevy Stepside
- Pontiac Firebird Formula
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Police

And then last night I stumbled upon a Wal-Mart that had Boulevard cars on Clearance for $2.50. Found the new Porsche 914 and the VW.

I bought one to open last week. Since I am buying the Master Set at the end of the year, I'm not buying any newer mainline cars right now.

Master Set includes every mainline car from the year including all Treasure Hunts, all Super Treasure Hunts, and every recolor & store exclusive releases (like the Wal-Mart redline cars). It also includes all 4 mail-in cars for the year.

I think someone said last years set was around 470 cars, and it was just over $500 with shipping. It's an excellent deal considering the Treasure Hunts and Main-in cars you're getting.

$500?! Well count me out. I only had $120 saved for stuff like this, but ill just buy ones either 10 pack, 3 pack, or singles. I'm at $75 now.

I came close to buying the Matchbox Firebird & Stepside, but just couldn't do it with those tampos. They were too much for me. I did get these:

Walmart had bunch of red-whatever(line?) wheel Aston & STi, so I did pick the STi up. They look nice. I should have picked up another one to open up. Another cool Johnny Lightning I couldn't say 'no' to. Was not planning on getting the Boulevard GTO stationwagon, but it looked cool in person! Finally, I almost never buy fantasy cars, but this Cloak & Dagger has Mountain Dew Baja Blast(only the best soda evah!) color, and very slick Sci Fi design to it.

My GT-R race car came in, but it took a week longer than other Hong Kong seller, and was poorly packed. Box smashed up pretty good, which I'm not anal about, but not great for collecting. I think I'm gonna have to give this seller a neutral feedback. What do you guys think?

Edit: I just saw how much R1600 paid for the Boulevard cars. You lucky dog! I almost bought the VW, too. If anything, I thought it would have nice resale value, but I backed out.

I loved the first Vipers, but hated the second gen. Dodge indeed did come through with the 2013(?). 👍

Edit: Hot Wheels did a nice job with the casting and wheels set up as well.

Yes they did. I'm glad they brought back the spoiler lip. That's why I love it so much. Plus the carbon fibre back.

For me, it is absolutely no comparison. Outside Walmart, I almost never find anything. There are couple other chains that stays on top of the Hot Wheels stuff, but all the good cars are gone pretty much immediately.
