1/64 Model Collectors Thread

I just googled foamcore's and I think it's the same flipping boards I've bought at Dollar Tree(dollar store). When I have white base/background in my pictures, they are on these foamcores.

I got a few of my HotWheels and Matchbox cars back since my little cousin isn't really using them because theyre slow, so I took the oldest ones and the first few ones I owned back home.

This one isn't that old:

Cool cars, I like them. But that dark blue clearcoat Bronco. Man I love that truck, and I had a small army of them as well.

I used to have one of those Broncos when I was little. Had a red one with Zebra graphics too. 👍

Edit: Someone from HWC used my PDF instructions and made a display frame, but all black. 👍

Yep, I had a red and zebra graphics also! Yours had the white ragtop and the 3-spoke "Cyclone" wheels, right?

And the black foamcore is nice, brings out the cars with lighter paint the most. Real unique.

And those GT40 MKIIs and Datsun BB 510s!!! 👍

Art stores have them. Michael's probably doesn't. Curry's do have them however.

Black imo still doesn't work as well as white. White's a standard backdrop colour for product presentation, and black cars don't pop out whatsoever.

And yeah, I agree. The black background does not bring out the darker colored cars and the black cars. Only the ones that had vinyls/graphics and some of the wheels on them brought the cars out. But it's still cool though.

Let's talk about collecting various types of 'foamcore'!

I've heard of a rare pink variety. I think it was an error.

Never heard of it. Must be a rarity!

Nope. Curry is from the subcontinent India not Canada.

Unless India connected to Canada in a strange and a freak accident with the plates shifting and causing massive earthquakes to separate countries and continents and somehow they joined together.... Even then, Curry is still a Indian dish.

55 Chevy is a Color Changer, submerge it in cold/hot water to see if the paint still works!

It actually turned somewhat red when I submerged it in the hot water and then went back to the yellow 👍

Same with those campers. I had loads of fun playing with that set and especially taking apart the screwed together trailer.

a6m5, not Audi A6 and BMW M5, because M5 is awesomest-bestest, but A6 certainly is not.

I don't play with them(lol), but I did hook up the trailer camper to the Honda Ridgeline it came with. I do want to take that 928 out of the packaging. Really nice detailing job on it, except the headlights were not painted. I could fix that with the silver paint pen you guys' been talking about.

For whatever reason, moulded plastic bikes & dogs do it for me. Adds certain charm to the hot wheels cars & trucks.

While getting some cards for my girlfriend's family at Dollar General today, I got a really nice red Ferrari FF; and four MBXs: a champagne Bentley Continental, a white ZR-1 and two 911 GT3 with the chrome wheel variation instead of the orange ones.

I also won $100 on a lottery ticket yesterday, so eBay here I come!
