How people get away with returning these is beyond me.

"Oh I don't want it anymore"?

"I bought the wrong car!"

Because employees don't know 🤬 when it comes to that crap. Whenever I see that I let them know and get them off the pegs.

Realistically, it shouldn't be a concern to us from a collector's point-of-view. While they got away with hot wheels fraud, at the end of the day, they already got that car you may have wanted; they beat you to it.

It's like one day, you got to Walmart, you find a boulevard you want, buy it and get rid of trash diecasts you aren't able to sell, package it up, return it and get money back even!

It super low though, and those scum are no better than thieves. If you tip off the employees about it, they might learn something and can prevent it in the future.

Well, a week later almost and I'm still missing 13 cars off ebay from 1 seller. He was quick to combine, but not to ship. If they aren't here today, I'll take pics of the 30+ new arrivals and post them up. Included is the most expensive car I've ever bought. (not most valuable...yall know I like to find steals, but a car that cost me more than any other.)

We might have to play the cookie game again. (no guesses for Cano though)

Lol, now I know what you felt that time with the Mustang. I'm eager to know on what did you waste your money. Pics!

Yeah well you the consumer honestly can't do much unless the employees care enough to learn how to distinguish toy car brands. To us it's a big issue, but to a department store, for something as little as a dollar, it's pretty mundane. Not big enough of an issue to concern themselves with. It needs to escalate to a larger scale for them to finally start dealing with it.

But you can get them off the pegs. Just tell them what is going on and that it's damaged goods that they CANNOT sell. Really no harm in taking 2 minutes out of your time to do something about it.

I wasn't making the point that it's a waste of time for us, I'm saying the staff have to give a crap first.

Here's the car I was telling Jarrod about last week:

I actually bought five cars, but battery indicator started flashing on me so...... other pics to follow. I recommend this seller from the Toy Peddler. I think he had $3 for loose car shipping, with comment on how he combines shipping. Many seller actually bump up the shipping quite a bit with that, but this seller, with five cars, plus a bonus car he added(mainline, but a real beauty!), I think it was roughly $4 total. 👍👍 As always, another recommended seller from me is Tony, who clearly mark his combined shipping fee, which is very reasonable. Both seller offer excellent service.
Thank god it hasn't become a problem here.

There is no question about it. It is stealing.

Yes RSR Turbo.

E.T. Sheep? Nice one, I like it.👍

I prefer it over the one with liveries, knowing how Kyosho suffers in that department...

After looking at a few pics on the interwebs, I'm inclined to agree. Looks much better with a plain body. 👍

Here's the car I was telling Jarrod about last week:

Geez, I wasn't expecting a 🤬 Gulf Porsche. Holy hellcats, that's awesome.👍

Ooooh awesomesome grabs, there are cars there that are smackingly rare, the Super Chromes are in amazing shape!!! Did you buy the lot? If so and the cookie is for a lone car, the answer is too obvious dude. Caught up with me on that one, I've had one for a while.

If the Super chromes are individual, the story could well change...

And the ones from the book package were almost mint. Very good.

3rd pic of DW's... What's the bottom right car (the yellow one?)

Wonder if Racing Champions cars should be posted here, found the NASCAR collection (:scared:)

Some nice classics in there. 👍

Here's the rest of mine:

Maybe the 911's also from the Porsche set? Citroen I guess is from the Buffy Vampire Slayer TV show. It's Johnny Lightning.

Matchbox rally car, I think I saw zakyta or Jarrod post one recently? Caddy was the freebie from the seller, original MR2, I've been after for awhile. In fact, I had this MR2(very same car) on my "watch list" for months. Finally.

I've been chasing the Porsche set for a while now. I'll go look for it right away.
I knew they were from some set, but I had no idea there was a Porsche set.👍

Thanks man! I had never seen it before, so as soon as I saw it for $15, saw them going on eBay for much more, I had to pull the trigger on it. Nice addition to the collection. 👍

Holden Ruff Trek Ute. Zakyta posted his recently. Been meaning to, but still haven't got around to getting one of them for myself yet. Nice grabs. 👍

Thank you, Galaxy Cattle! :P I do recommend the Ruff Trek. Very cool car, a must for any self-respecting Aussie collector. :D

Stopped by Walmart and came across some new(?) Mystery Models and a couple others. There was a dump bin, but it was almost empty when I got there...and only found the Corvette. Still no Scirocco or AE86 recolor... But the sort of good news is that they're low on Boulevards finally, so they might FINALLY update them. Want the Datsun so badly.

The Super chromes were the lot from hemi_hauler. He understated condition IMO. The lot was something like $17 with shipping!

I came across a shoebox of MANY beat up matchbox in my basement. Pics tomorrow! Mostly late 70s-early 90s stuff, but tough to say exactly.

Was at the Wal-Mart earlier, came across this box of "Mystery Models". Normally I avoid these like STDs because I always think I'll get a hideous car I do not want but since the store had none of the cars I wanted, I finally gave in and prayed it was something I actually wanted. I opened it up and holy crap, I struck it lucky. The car: Ford Shelby GR-1  :D

For a while, I was never able to get that car and now I finally have it. After the good luck I got with this find, I may look into those mystery ones abit more often should I not be able to come across the ones I want.
